Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a containment locker in Site-28. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, sleeping withing 10 meters of SCP-XXXX, although unlikely, is prohibited. of SCP-XXXX will be approved by one (1) senior researcher with Level 4 security clearance or higher.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a black twenty-four point three (24.3) centimeter tall basalt idol resembling a Mesoamerican style. The object is approximately thirteen (13) centimeters long and wide, and weighs just under six point four (6.4) kilograms.
Test subjects sleeping within an estimated seven (7) meter radius of SCP-XXXX if exposed to SCP-XXXX for two (2) to three point five (3.5) minutes will start rapidly hypnic jerking as well as major muscle spasams. If the subject has not woken within eighteen (18) seconds of their initial convulsions the test subject instantly suffers from massive cardiac arrest and will die seconds after in all cases. Scanning of the physical aspects of SCP-XXXX reveal no abnormal properties.

SCP-XXXX was originally recovered in the caverns of [REDACTED] Mexico when a small team of archaeologists investigated the [REDACTED]. When the archaeologists did not return, a recovery team was sent in on █/█/198██. The recovery team reports each member of the team inexplainabley dead while in their tents. An artifact that the archaeologists had recovered was SCP-XXXX which was taken into Foundation custody by a Field Agent that was currently in the area. The members of the recovery team were administered Class-A amnesiacs and released.
