Item #: SCP-123

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-123 is to be stored in a standard, 7 by 7 meter humanoid cell at all times, which itself is to be located in a larger, 15 by 15 meter containment cell. All foundation personnel are required to wear an external breathing apparatus when entering SCP-123's containment area. Weekly checks are mandatory for any cracks, holes, or other passages in SCP-123's cell in which particles of air can travel through. Site- ██ authorities are to be notified if any such tunnels are discovered.

Description: SCP-123 is a sculpture closely resembling the statue design depicted in tiki culture. Its true origin is not yet known. It is constructed from concrete and is animate, able to move at speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour. The object is exclusively hostile to human life. SCP-123 seems to possess an invisible aura affecting all oxygen within 7 meters of itself, though this oxygen is not altered on an atomic level in any way. (Note: The aura does not extend through solid or liquid barriers.)

When the affected air is breathed in, human subjects lose motor control and collapse. Subjects then experience a severe gag reflex, resulting in an inability to breathe in oxygen, commonly leading to death. These effects will cease if SCP-123 vacates the area.

Discovery: SCP-123 was discovered on February 14, 2020, by two boys in Hawaii. They informed the local law enforcement after they witnessed [DATA EXPUNGED]. The foundation successfully contained SCP-123 on February 19th. A total of ██ personnel were lost during the containment process and the object was moved to site-██.

Although no containment breaches of SCP-123 have occurred as of September 1, 2020, personnel are instructed to observe Level 4 Hazardous Object Containment Procedures if such an event were to take place. Additionally, SCP-123 has been reported to produce sounds similar to those made by blue whales and other aquatic life forms. This behavior is to be expected and any changes should be reported immediately to site officials.
