Special Containment Procedures:
The mirror passageway does not need immediate containment if located and secured early enough but after an unknown period of time elapses and the reflection cannot be interrupted by turning off the site's lighting which should limit the light to stop any person from seeing any reflections in the mirrors, then a casing which should have already been constructed after the first instance (which may I remind all we were very lucky) be immediately sealed over to stop the manifested mirrors reflections and stopping the unknown entity hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1 from escaping into our reality. All further requirements are that personnel remain on site to monitor the casing for any damages which must be repaired immediately. (as in incident alpha if it requires Containment anything that can block all and is not itself reflective surfaces will suffice until more permanent measures are installed)

Description:
SCP-XXXX referred to as the mirror passageway¹ can manifest in any finished undamaged mirror² and its properties will manifest as long as it is able to reflect the appearance of another mirror greater than three 3 times in a row the until the mirror's appearance turns into darkness, which then through unknown means creates a passage between our reality and another unknown reality. It is also noted that it has only manifested in permanent mirrors. Before the mirror requires containment when the passage is open communications can occur between us and an unknown race in other reality where we can trade information, materials, ideas and such.
If materials are to be traded and the mirror is not of sufficient size a spatial anomaly manifest's itself and it also does not matter which way the item is sent whether through the reflection or the reflecting side which makes smashing the reflecting glass near impossible³ the foundation does have a setup awaiting manifestation for [DATA EXPUNGED] testing along with other unstated experiments.

Addendum: Place holder is now a member of the foundation now as part of an agreement as they have developed a Deadmans switch of sort stating in their own words "if you wipe my mind I won't know the answers to the questions relating to this and if any of you do there are questions only I know the answer to so wipe my mind or finish me off and the world will know about what's going on also don't annoy me or else ok ok⁴

Incident log-XXXX-a On ██/██/████ SCP-XXXX the mirror passageway turned on its light on its own Place holder was present in the room on their █████ android tablet with the tv tuned into a non-descript channel and immediately noticed and placed down their tablet and proceeded to approach the mirror passageway before attempting to turn it off as they started to walk away before realising it had not and reattempted to multiple times before noticing SCP-XXXX-1 and attempting to interrupt the connection by adjusting the mirrors angle and was successful until the mirror realigned itself and SCP-XXXX-1 reappeared and started approaching again Place holder than immediately activated their walking talkie and started screaming about a containment breach their voice slightly fading as they got further away from the walkie before reapproaching the mirror passageway and shoving a cardboard box on-top as foundation members used their key cards to gain access to Place holders room and seeing them holding a cardboard box over the mirror passageway before saying "inform 05 we may have a slight problem." 05 was then informed of what happened and the current containment procedure as of writing this was suggested and put in place.

Incident log-XXXX-b on ██/██/████ SCP-XXXX manifested in the mirror setup for experimentation we’re multiple means of destroying the manifested mirror all of which were unsuccessful before [DATA EXPUNGED] were used resulting in [DATA EXPUNGED] a hastily made story was spread and all motion of [DATA EXPUNGED] in SCP-XXXX should be expunged for all time.⁵
