Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4721 is to be under armed guard at all times, and is to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering using any means necessary. SCP-4721-1 is allowed to leave only with permission from any O2 officer or above, but should always be accompanied by at least two armed security guards.
Description: SCP-4721 is a lone blacksmith’s shop on the top of a small, secluded mountain near [REDACTED]. SCP-4721-1 is a blacksmith who has claimed to be the owner of SCP-4721. A powerfully built, apparently middle aged man weighing 126kg with a height of 2.1 meters, he has showed no hostile intent toward the Federation except under first contact (See Addendum 4721-01). Since then, he has showed a willingness to help the Federation reach their goals of containing and protecting anomalies from the general public, and has agreed to keep his workmanship out of their hands as well. He will respond to 4721, although he asks politely to be called simply by John. He bears a slight Chinese accent, yet appears to be Caucasian in ethnicity. Although tests reveal that he is a normal human, he appears to not be from this Earth, and despite appearing to only be middle aged, tests have revealed him to be over 1200 years old. When asked for his age, he responds along the lines of, “I lost track several centuries ago. I should be getting close to 1300 by now.”
SCP-3538-1, being a blacksmith, exclusively makes and forges weapons. His proficiency as such is outstanding, claiming to have not made a mistake “for decades.” Subject has thus yet to make a mistake under observation. His workmanship consists mostly of swords, but features maces, axes, and various other close combat weapons as well. Most of these are made of solely terrestrial materials, but some are comprised of as-of-yet unidentified metals, and a few are made strictly from alien substance. Every weapon has an anomalous property attached to it, ranging from a non-corrosive steel sword and a self-sharpening axe, to a sword which randomly leaves slashes and cuts in any object or organism (see Addendum 4721-02) around it in a 2.4m radius except for the wielder, a mace that weighs 2kg to the wielder but 230kg to all other objects, and even [REDACTED]. These weapons take SCP-4721-1 a very long time to make, ranging anywhere from a week to many months. The process for which he makes such weapons is unknown, as he appears to use only standard blacksmithing techniques to craft such weapons. SCP-4721-1 says the location of SCP-3538 is very special and allows him to imbue his creations with such anomalous properties.
Upon testing the reality level of SCP-4721, it scores far below typical levels of similar locations, while the reality level of SCP-4721-1 is far above any normal human. Although he is very compliant with Federation researchers and personnel, he refuses to answer certain questions, such as where he has come from or how he found SCP-4721 (see Addendum 4721-03).
Addendum: SCP-4721-1 is fluent in both written and spoken English, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Korean.
Addendum 4721-01: Upon first observance of SCP-4721 in 19—, SCP-4721-1 exited the shop waving a sword, yelling in first Chinese, then German, then English, different variations of "Go away," "I'm warning you," and "I'll [REDACTED] you up." Agents attempted to take him down with nonlethal sleeper rounds, to no effect. He held the sword in a defensive stance and all fired rounds were deflected by what seemed to be a sword, although no motion was actually witnessed. Agents then attempted to reason with him, and eventually calmed him down after explaining what their intent was and the misunderstanding.
All further interactions with SCP-4721-1, or John, have been cordial and understanding, as long as he is allowed to create weapons and work on his craft without trouble. (I will say more eventually)
