Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX only requires a containment chamber that prohibits entry from anyone below level 2 authorizations. It does not require maintenance typical of a vehicle. Its components show no decay or wear upon activation, and its internal liquids remain at an identical volume regardless of whether it is active or not.
However, it must be boarded at least 10 times per month with intent to travel; less will cause SCP-XXXX to disappear from its containment and re-appear anywhere within the globe. To meet the quota, one must board SCP-XXXX and ask it to travel to a controlled location, and stay inside until it returns to containment. Any site personnel with authorization level 2 or above with a B-level driving license may do this, however the destination must be chosen from a list of locations approved for usage of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a black-painted vehicle, similar to LTI TX1 commonly utilized for transportation services, and possesses several anomalous properties. Its structure is extremely durable, possessing the ability to traverse many otherwise inhospitable environments with minimal damage, including vacuum of outer space (see testlogsomethingl) and depths of Pacific Ocean up to 5 kilometers (another one?).
All taken samples lose their anomalous qualities as soon as they're removed from SCP-XXXX, turning into normal vehicle parts. X-ray scans have shown SCP-XXXX to be identical in all accounts to an LTI TX1 vehicle, with the single exception of the ignition switch being outwardly a smooth surface with no entry slot for keys. However, the rest of the ignition mechanisms exist within SCP-XXXX.
Despite the noted durability, SCP-XXXX can and will sustain excessive damage, causing it redirect its course back to the origin spot, whereupon the engine shuts off automatically. At this point, all damaged areas will begin to repair themselves. This is a slow process and as such should not be relied upon; after an experiment sending SCP-XXXX with an occupant into [EXPUNGED], it took 34 days for it to fully finish reparations. It was noted that SCP-XXXX stayed inert the entire time, and did not need its monthly traveling quota filled.
The most prominent anomaly present is the ability to travel to any location, once SCP-XXXX is asked to do so. Requests have thus far been confirmed to work with 139 different languages, including those utilized to this day and ones that have not seen usage for centuries.
Once a location of choice is stated during the request, SCP-XXXX will activate itself and begins to drive forward 5-7 meters before the anomalous event occurs. While still in motion, SCP-XXXX begins to distort inwards in spiralling manner, as if collapsing into itself from a spontaneous increase in gravity, before disappearing completely in three seconds. The surroundings are unaffected by any manner of gravitic pull, however. Should there be no space to move in, SCP-XXXX will instead perform the same distortion maneuver while static.
Two seconds later, SCP-XXXX begins to expand out of thin air at the requested location, this time in outwards spiralling manner before returning to standard size in a span of three seconds. Passengers report no unusual effects when SCP-XXXX transitions from one location to another one; only case-by-case, natural reactions, such as panic or fascination. The windows tint into solid-black during the eight-second transfer between locations, thus obscuring the view of outside world from its occupants until SCP-XXXX has fully re-emerged.
After reaching its destination, SCP-XXXX goes idle, including its engine. While in this state, it can be driven like a normal, non-anomalous car without any unusual effects. Anybody can exit and re-enter the vehicle during this period. For it to return to the location it originally disappeared from, passenger request(s) are taken into account. In the event of several requests, SCP-XXXX seems to prioritize one that involves the least amount of time spent before returning. It will then adhere to that allotted schedule, with only shorter schedules capable of overwriting the existing one. Maximum amount of time it will stay has thus far been 72 hours.
In the event of no passenger request(s), SCP-XXXX may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 72 hours before it returns. Same, anomalous transportation takes place as with the initial travel, before the engine shuts off. It will not wait for any occupant(s) who exited to return inside before doing so.
