Special Containment Procedures: Due to the Foundation's current inability to directly guard SCP-XXXX, it is to be kept under surveillance at all times by a minimum of 4 satellites. These satellites must be positioned in a wide sphere around SCP-XXXX, and each must be equipped with at least 3 high-definition cameras. The camera footage must be monitored at all times by personnel. In the event that an intrusion of SCP-XXXX occurs, the onboard defense system must be activated immediately.
All captured images of SCP-XXXX must be intercepted and doctored to omit any evidence of the anomalous effects it possesses.
All crew members returning to Earth from SCP-XXXX must be amnesticized prior to release. In the event that SCP-XXXX's orbit begins to decay, any crew members on board must be evacuated immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation assigned to Skylab1. SCP-XXXX was constructed by the United States government, under the supervision of the Foundation. SCP-XXXX contains several anomalous materials used to benefit its orbit, efficiency, and crew.
| Item | Anomalous Effect | Additional Details |
|---|---|---|
| Solar Panel | Capable of converting light into energy at 200% the rate of a standard solar panel. Designated SCP-XXXX-1. | Was rendered inactive soon after launch due to the shutdown of the main array, its power source. Repaired when SL-22 arrived. |
| Micrometeoroid Shield | Capable of forming a nearly indestructible attachment to certain objects. Able to withstand an impact from a large object traveling at approximately 20,000 kilometers per hour. Designated SCP-XXXX-2. | Brought to SCP-XXXX when the original shield detached. |
| Solar Observatory | Produces a calming sensation in any human that uses it. Designated SCP-XXXX-3. | Has become known as the "Apollo Telescope Mount". |
| External Plating | Can push in the opposite direction of certain objects with extreme force when activated. Designated SCP-XXXX-4. | Must be used only in the event that SCP-XXXX's orbit begins to decay. |
| Multiple Tools | Prevents ATP burn and enhances productivity. Designated SCP-XXXX-5. | These tools are primarily used in the Saturn Workshop of SCP-XXXX. |
| Airlock Module | Capable of beaming massive amounts of heat in concentrated rays when activated. Designated SCP-XXXX-6. | Installed in SCP-XXXX as part of the onboard defense system. |
Please be aware that this only represents the important anomalous items aboard SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX in low Earth orbit(LEO)
Addendum XXXX-1: Status Update XXXX-1
It has been discovered that the Chaos Insurgency is using an anomalous sphere capable of pulling certain objects towards itself with extremely high force to decay SCP-XXXX's orbit. This was discovered during a routine check of SCP-XXXX's orbit. Upon discovery, a full investigation on the source of the decay was launched. The investigation led to a high-security Chaos Insurgency facility. As per protocol, SCP-XXXX's current crew, SL-4, has been evacuated and amnesticized. Attempts to activate the anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX-4 are underway.
Addendum XXXX-2: Status Update XXXX-2
Attempts to activate the anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX-4 so far have failed. It is possible that the item the Chaos Insurgency is using to decay SCP-XXXX's orbit may be interfering with the effect SCP-XXXX-4. Unfortunately, the public has noticed the decaying orbit of SCP-XXXX. A disinformation campaign has been started. If the anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX-4 cannot be activated, SCP-XXXX will reenter the atmosphere and disintegrate. Despite doubts that the materials will remain anomalous after disintegration, all debris will be collected for storage.
Addendum XXXX-3: Interview XXXX-1
Interviewed: Dr. Johnson
Interviewer: Dr. Cole
Foreword: Agent Johnson is one of the agents that has been tracking SCP-XXXX's orbital decay. Due to the Foundation's inability to activate the anomalous effect of SCP-XXXX-4, SCP-XXXX's reentry has been declared inevitable. Preparations are ongoing to collect debris when SCP-XXXX reenters the atmosphere.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Cole: Hello, Agent Johnson.
Dr. Johnson: Hello.
Dr. Cole: Could you please give me details about SCP-XXXX's orbital decay and upcoming reentry?
Dr. Johnson: We've been tracking Skylab for weeks now, and the Chaos Insurgency is succeeding in pulling it out of space. It's really quite incredible. The station is traveling at about 8 kilometers a second. That means that whatever they they are using to bring it down is more powerful than the inertia generated by a station whizzing around the Earth at 8 miles a second. And because we cannot activate SCP-XXXX-4, reentry has been declared inevitable.
Dr. Cole: What's our cover story?
Dr. Johnson: Well, we thought it was going to work at first, but we were very wrong. The public is actually getting excited about this. Companies are beginning to offer big rewards for anybody who can bring them a piece of the station. That's a huge problem, because a person gets their hands on one of the more dangerous pieces, and it'll be like carrying a nuke around to show off to your friends and trade in for money.
Dr.Cole: You have proof that the debris will stay anomalous after reentry, then?
Dr. Johnson: Yes. We destroyed one of the anomalous pieces that Skylab was built with, and tested them. Each tiny little shard retained its effect. When the whole station comes down, it'll be creating a million of those things, each still keeping its effect.
Dr.Cole: What other problems has the cover story caused?
Agent Johnson: There's stuff like "Skylab Repellent" being sold to keep people from being hit by a piece. The threat of people being hit by debris is a real one. An anomalous lead-lined vault can do a lot of damage when it's traveling at 122 meters per second. But this has become a mass media event!
Dr.Cole: I see. What preparations have been made to deal with the reentry of SCP-XXXX?
Dr. Johnson: We've calculated that it will come down over the Indian Ocean and Western Australia. We've had to tell NASA to guess wrong to throw some people off. They told the public it will disintegrate somewhere southeast of South Africa. Unfortunately, the anomalous effects of the station have made it highly resistant to damage, so it will break up only 10 miles above Earth. Additionally, we have several MTF units ready to immediately collect debris when they hit the ground.
Dr.Cole: Okay. Thank you for your time, Dr. Johnson. You may leave now.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX reentered the atmosphere on July 11th, 1979.
Addendum XXXX-4: Interview XXXX-2
Interviewed: Captain James Smith
Interviewer: Dr.Cole
Foreword: When SCP-XXXX reentered the atmosphere, Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots") was dispatched to find and secure as many debris as possible. MTF Epsilon-6 also detained civilians who had acquired debris and confiscated them. The following is a transcript of an interview with the captain of MTF Epsilon-6.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Cole: Hello, Captain James Smith.
CPT Smith: Hello, Doc.
Dr. Cole: Please detail the recovery process of the debris from SCP-XXXX.
CPT Smith: Okay. The entire unit split up into small groups and combed every square inch of the designated areas. We found a particularly big piece near a dead cow, so I guess there were casualties from falling debris.
Dr. Cole: How did you know if the debris were from SCP-XXXX?
CPT Smith: We had a long list of what effects the debris should exhibit if it had come from SCP-XXXX. The biggest challenge was finding the really small pieces, and there were a lot of them. One team came back with 12 shards of the solar panels from going through only a couple miles of wilderness. The bigger parts were much rarer to find, although one team found about half of the airlock module still intact. Very charred, but intact.
Dr. Cole: What did your unit do about the civilians who had found debris?
CPT Smith: We had to hunt them down and amnesticize them. It was a huge hassle. We chased one guy to the airport and intercepted him just before he got on a plane. He was going to go cash in the piece he found for a reward that a company in America was offering.
Dr. Cole: What else did you have to do?
CPT Smith: I heard that some of the Foundation agents who were helping us out got into submersibles and actually checked the Indian Ocean. They only found about 5 pieces, though.
Dr. Cole: What percentage of the debris you collected was anomalous?
CPT Smith: Something like 80% of what we found was anomalous. We brought all the debris we found back to a base to test. After that, we loaded the safer pieces into trucks to take back to Foundation facilities.
Dr. Cole: And what became of the more dangerous debris?
CPT Smith: We had to call in specially built trucks for transport. One poor guy activated the effect of one of the shards somehow and crushed his foot into pulp. Another guy irradiated his entire squad when he was carrying a small piece of the tools that had been on the station. In total, we had 2 deaths, 13 wounds, 8 severe burns, and 4 cases of radiation poisoning.
Dr. Cole: Okay. Thank you, Captain Smith. You may leave now.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: After an evaluation and count of all debris in Foundation custody, it has been found that there are several pieces of debris from SCP-XXXX missing. Investigation into the location of these debris is ongoing.
A piece of recovered SCP-XXXX debris.
Addendum XXXX-5: Status Update XXXX-3
During interrogation of a captured Chaos Insurgency agent, it was discovered that the Insurgency currently possesses several pieces of debris from SCP-XXXX. The debris include several pieces of SCP-XXXX-4, as well as SCP-XXXX-1. In addition, the Insurgency possesses several portions of SCP-XXXX-6. Discussions about necessary actions are ongoing.
Addendum XXXX-6: Retrieval Log XXXX-A
The following is a transcript of the recorded radio contact between the commander, designated Alpha Lead, and subordinate fire teams designated Alpha 1, 2, 3, and 4. Contact with a radio team at Site-██ was additionally established to monitor the progress of the mission. The mission's priorities were to enter a maximum-security Chaos Insurgency facility while maintaining stealth, locate the debris from SCP-XXXX being held there, and secure the debris for removal. The mission's secondary priority was to find intel on Chaos Insurgency plans for use of the debris from SCP-XXXX.
<Begin Transcript>
Alpha Lead: Alright, get your masks on. We don't want Chaos to gas us. Comm check. Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, Alpha 4, do you read me?
Agent Pickworth (Alpha 1 Lead): Loud and clear, Alpha Lead.
Agent Skyler (Alpha 2 Lead): All good here.
Agent Parr (Alpha 3 Lead): Comms are up and running for us.
Agent Smith (Alpha 4 Lead): Alpha 4's comms are working.
Alpha Lead: Okay. Home Base, do you read me?
Home Base (Site-██): Yes. Please continue.
Alpha Lead: When we cut through that door, Alpha 1 will go locate the airlock module debris. Alpha 2 will locate the solar panel debris. Alpha 3 will locate the external plating. Alpha 4 will look for any intel on the Insurgency's plans for the debris. Do not engage unless absolutely necessary. Subdue Chaos agents quickly and quietly. Hide their bodies and stay stealthy. Good luck men. I will be monitoring you with your trackers. Alright, start cutting!
The sound of a laser cutter can be heard in the background.
Alpha Lead: The door is open. Move out!
There is silence for several minutes.
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Alpha Lead, we have reached the chamber where the airlock debris is being kept. We had to jump a couple Chaos agents, but we're good.
Alpha Lead: Already? Good. Get that door open and secure the debris. Alpha 2, 3, and 4, what's your status?
Agent Skyler (A2L): We are…not sure where the solar panel debris is being held.
Alpha Lead: What? Okay, keep looking. If you still can't find it, Alpha 4 will find a map for this place. What is your status, Alpha 4?
Agent Smith (A4L): Nearly at the intel room. Things are getting a little tough, though. One Chaos agent nearly raised the alarm before we knocked him out.
Alpha Lead: Just keep going. And remember, do not engage unless you are on the brink of annihilation. The Insurgency is going to lock this place down and trap us if they find out we are here.
Agent Parr (A3L): We've found the external plating chamber, but there's a group of Insurgency agents out in front of it.
Alpha Lead: Can you sneak past them?
Agent Parr (A3L): No way. They are directly in front of the door.
A yell starts but is immediately choked off.
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Sorry. There was a Chaos agent in our chamber.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 3, exactly how many Chaos agents are there?
Agent Parr (A3L): 6 or 7.
Alpha Lead: If they don't leave in the next several minutes, try to go for a synchronized takedown on all of them. Alright, status update?
Agent Pickworth (A1L): We have secured the airlock debris. Do we have permission to bring it back?
Alpha Lead: Yes. What about everyone else?
Agent Skyler (A2L): Still not sure where our debris is.
Alpha Lead: Fuck. Alpha 4, can you help them out?
Several choking noises are heard, then the impacts of several bodies hitting the floor.
Agent Smith (A4L): The intel room is clear. We are looking for a map now.
Several minutes pass.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 4, have you found anything yet?
Agent Smith (A4L): Yes. The external plating is being kept on Floor 3 in the left wing, west of Alpha 2.
Alpha Lead: Okay. You hear that, Alpha 2?
Agent Skyler (A2L): Yes. We're heading there now.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 4, what else is there? Have you found anything pointing to what the Insurgency plans to do with the debris?
Agent Smith (A4L): Hold on, we just found the file.
Several minutes pass.
Agent Smith (A4L): Oh. My. God.
Alpha Lead: What? What did you find?
Agent Smith (A4L): This is not good. They are trying to build a [STATIC] with the air[STATIC]
Alpha Lead: Alpha 4? Alpha 4? Damn, the connection's down! Home Base, can you try to reconnect us?
Home Base (Site-██): The connection is wireless. Unfortunately, the only thing we can do is reset your connection to Alpha 4. That should help.
Alpha Lead: Do it now, please.
Home Base (Site-██): Okay. Resetting connection in 3…2…1. The connection should return in a few minutes.
Alpha Lead: A few…? I'm not sure it should be that long. Alpha 2, what's your status?
Agent Skyler (A2L): We have found the external plating. Securing the area now.
Alpha Lead: Good. Alpha 3, what's your status?
Agent Parr (A3L): Those Chaos agents still haven't left. We are going to try to take them down.
Alpha Lead: Please be careful. And Alpha 1?
Agent Pickworth (A1L): We've nearly reached you. We were stopped because one Chaos agent though he'd take a stroll down the hallway alone, and he put up quite a fight when we tried to take him down.
Alpha Lead: Hurry back, please. This mission is going longer than I'd like it to.
Several minutes pass.
Agent Smith (A4L): [STATIC]llo? Hello?
Alpha Lead: Alpha 4! Is your team okay?
Agent Smith (A4L): [STATIC]are all fine. The connection[STATIC]out.
Alpha Lead: The connection is still a little shaky, I see. Anyways, what did you find in the intel room?
Agent Smith (A4L): We found diagrams and testing logs for a sort of laser cannon made with the airlock module debris. The Insurgency apparently plans to exploit the anomalous effects to create weapons. The cannon, according to the diagrams, concentrates the heat produced by the airlock debris when activated to make it powerful enough to melt titanium.
Alpha Lead: What else did you find?
Agent Smith (A4L): The Insurgency is planning to carefully break down the debris into microscopic pieces, which will give them the ability to create a few hundred of those things. We didn't find anything about whether the Insurgency wanted to sell it or keep it for themselves, but I'm guessing it's the second.
Alpha Lead: Did you find anything pertaining to the other debris?
Agent Smith (A4L):They want to use the solar panels for generators, and parts of the external plating for something that is apparently supposed to blast things away.
Alpha Lead: Alright, this is good information. Please make your way back to the rallying point immediately. Alpha 2, how are you doing?
Agent Skyler (A2L): We found the chamber for our debris. We are bringing it back now.
Shots break out over the radio.
Agent Parr (A3L): What the-oh, shit! Open fire! OPEN FIRE!
Alpha Lead: Alpha 3! What's happening?!
A yell of pain is heard from Alpha 3's radio.
Agent Parr (A3L):The Chaos agents saw us and started shooting! Robbins is down!
Alpha Lead: Shit. Home Base, can you do anything?!
Home Base (Site-██): Unfortunately, no. We can order an airstrike if all else fails, but that is about it. Please, try to recover all debris. If this mission fails, we will likely not be able to carry out another.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 3, you're going to have to incapacitate all of them and recover your debris!
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Alpha Lead, we have reached your location.
Alpha Lead: Split up! Half of your team will stay here to guard your debris, and the other half has to go and help Alpha 3! Hurry!
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Roger. Alright, split up guys! Team 1, stay here. Team 2, come with me!
Agent Parr (A3L): We're pinned down in here, and Robbins got hit in the leg! He can't walk!
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Stay down! We are on our way!
A siren starts blaring in the background.
Agent Pickworth (A1L): …that's really not good. Chaos is locking this facility down.
Agent Skyler (A2L): Alpha Lead, we have nearly reached your location!
Agent Smith (A4l): Us too!
Shots break out from Alpha 1's radio.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 1?! What's happening?!
Agent Pickworth (A1L): [STATIC]team! We have opened fire! The area is being[STATIC]
Alpha Lead: Not again! Home Base, you need to reset the connection again!
Home Base (Site-██): …It seems that the connection is intentionally being interfered with. Resetting the connection won't do anything at this point. The security system of the Chaos facility must be shut down somehow if you are going to escape now.
Alpha Lead: How the hell are we supposed-wait, the map! Alpha 4, do you still have the map?
Agent Smith (A4L): Yes. We are looking for the control room now.
Several seconds pass.Agent Smith (A4L): Found it! Floor 2, Central Unit.
Agent Skyler (A2L): We have reached your location, Alpha Lead.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 2, I need you to leave your debris here and go try to shut down the security system.
Agent Skyler (A2L): Roger. Alright men, you heard him! Move out!
Agent Smith (A4L): We have also reached your location, Alpha Lead.
Alpha Lead: You need to stay here and guard the debris. A Chaos security team could come bouncing around here any minute now.
Agent Smith (A4L): Okay.
Agent Parr (A3L): Things are getting bad here, Alpha Lead!
Another yell of pain is heard through Alpha 3's radio.
Agent Parr (A3L): Shit, Williams is wounded! Get a tourniquet on his arm and give him some morphine!
Alpha Lead: Alpha 3, do you have any escape route at all?
Agent Parr (A3L): No! The doors have been locked and reinforced, the turrets are activated, and the vents are sealed! And there's a Chaos team practically on top of us!
Alpha Lead: Do you have any heavy weaponry to push them back?
Agent Parr (A3L): No! We had an LMG, but it took a bullet and is inoperable! No grenades, either! And we're running low on ammo!
Alpha Lead: Have you seen any sign of Alpha 1?
Agent Parr (A3L): We haven't seen them either! But if they walked in here right now, they'd all die immediately!
Alpha Lead: Shit. Alpha 2, what's your status?
Agent Skyler (A2L): About a quarter of the way there. We are being slowed by the security system and Chaos agents running everywhere.
A faint hissing is heard from Alpha 3's radio.
Agent Parr (A3L): THAT'S GAS. Make sure your masks are on, men!
A crack sounds through the radio.
Agent Parr (A3L): Wha-oh, fuck. They just shot Brown's mask. Is it still operable? No, it has to…fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. What is he going to do without his mask?!
Alpha Lead: I don't think anything can be done, Parr.
Agent Parr (A3L): NO! I'M BRINGING EVERYONE BACK HOME, EVEN IF I HAVE TO DRAG THE WOUNDED AWAY BY MY FUCKING TEETH! Someone give Brown something to cover his face with!
Agent Smith (A4L): Ah shit, the security teams are here! Open fire! Protect the debris as well as you can!
Alpha Lead: OW! Damn, I'm hit!
Agent Smith (A4L): Where, sir?!
Alpha Lead: Upper shoulder! Don't worry about me, protect the debris!
Agent Smith (A4L): Someone put a tourniquet on Alpha Lead and give him some morphine!
A member of Alpha 4 can be heard calling back to AL4.
Agent Smith (A4L): What do you mean "We're out of tourniquets and morphine"? We had a full supply a while ago! …They shot the pack?! Alpha Lead could bleed to death if he doesn't get a tourniquet!
Alpha Lead: I said don't worry about me!
Agent Smith (A4L): Sir, there is a two-inch hole in your shoulder! You need medical assistance!
Alpha Lead: I'll figure something out! Protect the debris!
Agent Smith (A4L): Someone at least help him stop the bleeding! And keep firing!
*An outbreak of coughing is audible over Alpha 3's radio.
Agent Parr (A3L): Keep the cloth on Brown's face! And someone tighten the tourniquet on Robbins! He's bleeding again!
Alpha Lead: Alpha 2, where are you?!
Agent Skyler (A2L): We are nearly at the control room, but there's a horde of security teams blocking our path!
Alpha Lead: You've got no other way around them! You have to push through!
Agent Skyler (A2L): We'll try!
Agent Parr (A3L): Wait, which gas type is this?! Brown shouldn't be bleeding from his face!
Alpha Lead: Parr, there's nothing you can do for Brown! You need to focus on what you can do for your team!
Agent Skyler (A2L): Keep the cloth on his face and try to stop the bleeding!
A metallic crack sounds from Alpha Lead's radio.
Alpha Lead: …Thank god for armor plates. I'd have a bullet lodged in my heart if I wasn't wearing one right now.
A noticeable rise in background gunfire occurs.
Agent Skyler (A2L): Light em' up, gentlemen!
Agent Parr (A3L): Alpha Lead, we are practically out of ammo! If that security system isn't shut down very soon, we are all going to die!
Agent Skyler (A2L): We're working on it!
Agent Parr (A3L): Brown, stay with me! Think of your family! You can't die here!
Agent Skyler (A2L): Alpha Lead, we are low on ammo as well and Wilson is hit!
Agent Smith (A4L): Us too!
Choking sounds clearly through Alpha 3's radio.
Agent Parr (A3L): Brown, don't die! I've tried to hard to let you die here!
Alpha Lead: It….it's time for Brown to go, Parr. It's his time.
Agent Parr (A3L): It can't be! He has a family, friends, a life…
Alpha Lead: Parr, people die at the Foundation. And there's often nothing anybody can do about it.
AL3 can be heard clearly holding back an outburst of emotion.
Agent Skyler (A2L): …He was my oldest friend. I remember making the vow to him that I would always bring him and my team back alive. And now we are all going to die here, in the bowels of this hell of a facility.
Alpha Lead: …Is it too late to abort mission, Home Base?
Home Base (Site-██): …
Alpha Lead: Home Base?
Home Base (Site-██): I'm afraid so. I'm so sorry, Alpha Lead. All of Alpha 3 will posthumously receive awards for their courage, even though the mission has mostly failed. Alpha 1 and 2 as well. We'll be calling in an airstrike now.
Agent Skyler (A2L): Gather all your ordnance here, men. I'll toss it in.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 2, you have reached the control room?!
Agent Skyler (A2L): Yes, sir. Alright, throwing explosives in 3, 2, 1!
A large explosion roars from Alpha 2's radio.
Several moments pass.
Agent Parr (A3L): …Oh my god. The security system has disarmed.
Another outburst of gunfire explodes from Alpha 3's radio.
Agent Parr (A3L): Wait..is that-
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Hey, Alpha 3. Glad we could save you.
Alpha Lead: Alpha 1?! What happened while the connection was down?
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Not a lot, to be honest. We did manage to go around the corridor Alpha 3 was trapped in and get their debris. After that, we decided to enter the corridor behind the security team engaging Alpha 3 and mow them down.
Alpha Lead: Great. Please return to the rallying point and we'll get the hell out of here.
Home Base (Site-██): You are all lucky we held off a bit on ordering the airstrike. We'll be calling in the extraction force now.
Agent Smith (A4L): Could you guys hurry, please?! That security team is still putting up one hell of a fight!
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Don't worry, we'll come in behind them again.
Home Base (Site-██): Please note that the extraction force will arrive in 20 minutes, and you all must be ready for extraction by then.
Alpha Lead: Roger. Hurry back, men!
Agent Smith (A1L): What about the other security teams in the facility?
Agent Pickworth (A1L): Don't worry. I know a vent that we can squeeze through. We couldn't use it earlier because the vents were locked down.
Agent Smith (A1L): Okay. Let's get moving.

The mission was deemed successful. Agent Devon Brown was posthumously bestowed with an award and his family received the standard monetary payout. All recovered SCP-XXXX debris have been securely contained in clandestine locations. Reclassification requests to Neutralized are pending.
WARNING: THE FOLLOWING FILE IS LEVEL 2/XXXX CLASSIFIED
ANY ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THIS FILE WITHOUT LEVEL 2/XXXX AUTHORIZATION WILL BE LOGGED AND WILL LEAD TO IMMEDIATE DISCIPLINARY ACTION.
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the random nature of SCP-XXXX, it is impossible to fully contain it. Embedded Foundation agents are to be instructed to listen for news of any
SCP-XXXX events. Any witnesses to an SCP-XXXX event must be detained as soon as possible after the event and amnesticized prior to release. Any footage of an SCP-XXXX event must be intercepted and edited or destroyed. Any survivors of an SCP-XXXX event must be immediately secured, interviewed, and amnesticized. Because of the condition of many survivors, after amnesticization they must be placed in Foundation mental hospitals until deemed fit for release.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation for a phenomenon affecting a very small, unknown percentage of fistfights that occur in the world. When the phenomenon occurs, an anomalous space is generated around the combatants. In the event of more than two combatants, the space extends around the entire fight. After several seconds, this space generates a portal to an extra-dimensional location3 via unknown means. All humans inside the space after this generation is complete are transported to the location.
The Foundation has unfortunately not been able to gather much information about SCP-XXXX-1, as most survivors who return are either insane and unable to give much information, or have lost most of their memories of the location. It is unknown whether survivors have gone insane because of a property of SCP-XXXX-1 or from what they may have witnessed there.
SCP-XXXX-1, based on the small amount of information extracted from survivors, is a pit dug into the ground in a foggy forest. It is inhabited by distorted humanoid entities. Humans transported there are apparently forced by the entities to take part in tournament-like fights in the pit. The winner of the fights is transported back to reality, while the loser stays behind. It is unknown what happens to the loser of these fights, as most of those interviewed either could not or refused to answer when asked. The motives and origins of these entities are unknown. It is possible that SCP-XXXX-1 exists on a separate plane of time, as survivors reappear almost immediately after disappearing.
It is also worth noting that survivors that recover seem to lose their memory of SCP-XXXX-1 and their experience, rendering it impossible to interview those who have recovered.
Addendum XXXX-1: Recovered Document XXXX-1
On 7-1-2020, an SCP-XXXX event occurred at bar in North Dakota, U.S. A young male at the bar had a notepad and a pen with him when he was transported to SCP-XXXX-1. The Foundation recovered his notepad when he arrived back in reality.
