Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX are to be contained in an underground greenhouse at Bio Site-103, accessible by a single airlock. The Greenhouse should be well ventilated and a loop of continuous music is to play at a volume of 40 dB. Personal entering SCP-XXXX containment must wear clothing that leaves no exposed skin and a gas mask. Upon leaving the containment area, they are to proceed with decontamination before interacting with any Foundation personnel.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a [flowering bush of some kind] and is a multivariable cognitohazard that affects non-anomalous sentient species. So long as only one sense is engaged by SCP-XXXX it will not display any anomalous property. However, if more than one sense is engaged at the time it will demonstrate it's abilities. While under the effects of SCP-XXXX subjects demonstrate rapid and permanent memory loss. The memory loss are not random and happened to be what the subject are currently thinking about. There is no notable difference in the anomalous effect when two or more of the senses are engaged by SCP-XXXX.
Depending on which sense SCP-XXXX is engaged, the effects linger for different amount of times.
Visual – The risk of triggering the anomalous effect are only in effect while looking at the plant. Looking away or closing your eyes will effectively negate the risk. This holds true for video or photos of SCP-XXXX as long as they are in color. Applying black and white, greyscale, sepia, etc filters nullifies the effect. Though observing it through tinted windows will trigger the effect if another sense is engaged.
Auditory – The risk of triggering the anomalous effect are in effect for a few seconds after hearing either they whispers or rustling produced by SCP-XXXX. Damage caused by
Tactile – The risk of triggering the anomalous effect are in effect (on average) from 5 to 15 minutes after physically touching SCP-XXXX with no protective gear. Washing and sanitizing the area is effective in negating the risk. The longer the subject is in physical contact with SCP-XXXX the longer the tactile risk will last as it secretes an oil that lingers. Someone who has physically touched it must refrain from physical contact as the oil is easily transmissible. If the oil gets in an open wound and enters the bloodstream, the effect are permanent.
Olfactory – The risks of triggering the anomalous effect are in effect for a minimum of thirty minutes after smelling the natural fragrance of SCP-XXXX and increases the longer the subject is smelling it as it leaves tiny amounts of pollen trapped in the nasal cavity and take a while to disolve. Though an artificial fragrance was successfully synthesized, the risk is only effective while it is being smelled.
Gustatory – The risk of triggering the anomalous effect are permanent once someone has tasted or ingested any form of SCP-XXXX.
