Tlalok´s "Sentient origami"

ITEM #: SCP-XXXX

OBJECT CLASS: Safe Keter

SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES: Due to the nature and innofensive behavior of SCP-XXXX, containment is unnecessary. It is currently kept inside a folder in Dr. Waters´ office, head of SCP-XXXX research team The current location of SCP-XXXX is unknown. It is theorized that it´s inside Site 29 or in its surrounding, however it is still debated if this is a genuine concern or a distraction by SCP-XXXX.

In response to the containment breach and subsequent event in Site 73 (See Addendum-01), all paper and paper-like materials inside Site 29 have to be destroyed as soon as possible. Monitoring of the destruction of documents has to be in charge of MTF Epsilon 11 and Psi 02 agents. All foundation documents inside the site are to be scanned immediately and then burned. Any sighting of paper or paper-like materials outside of the destruction area need to be reported immediately to security team.

Because of the amount of documents SCP-XXXX stole, numerous media companies in the state were reached by the foundation to prevent SCP-XXXX from making any information public. Constant monitoring of █████ Television, ████████ Company, and ██████ News is ongoing by implanted agents inside said corporations.

DESCRIPTION: SCP-XXXX is a 15 x 15 cm white paper sheet, recovered in Juárez, Chihuahua when anomalous activity was reported in Mr. ███████´s office, after his 7 year-old daughter used SCP-XXXX for origami. Class-A amnestics were given to all personnal inside the office.

Initially research team discovered that whenever the paper was folded into any origami figure SCP-XXXX would gain consciousness and the physical properties of the object or animal it was folded into. These properties were displayed sometimes as soon as it was folded with no instructions or explanations, showing that SCP-XXXX is somehow capable of knowing immediately what is it being shaped into and what abilities it gains. Later on it was discovered that the material it is made out of isn´t paper, but a seemingly indestructable material that had similar properties to normal paper.

During initial testing, comunication with SCP-XXXX in its origami form was possible via writting on itself. While it was capable of hearing, it could only comunicate through writting. This made research team fold SCP-XXXX into an origami fortune teller, and an interview with it was held. SCP-XXXX showed friendly and even childish behaviour, making the research team label it as SAFE. However after incident XXXX-01-CB the foundation relabeled it as KETER.

The object was then known to be capable of folding by itself and change its color. It can also attract and assimilate nearby paper to become bigger; however the ability the foundation is most concerned about it the one that allows SCP-XXXX to "steal" any form of information or images within nearby paper. Any text or image, printed or written down in paper, will disappear only to then reappear, apparently at will, within SCP-XXXX. The first instance of said ability was shown when SCP-XXXX stole his own entire report Dr. Waters made of it during the 4 months SCP-XXXX was inside Site 73, dissappearing all text and leaving only white paper sheets. The radius of said ability is still unknown, however it is theorized is anywhere between 1 and 4 meters.
