Object class: safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP XXXX is to be stored in a protective plexiglass frame in an opaque steel cell with writing paper and a storage drive accessing 10 outside-facing computer monitors. All information appearing on said media is SCP XXXX-1, subject to the Foundation's review and may not be published without their clearance. SCP XXXX-1 resulting from questions about the “Deluge” are subject to level 3 containment or higher. Personnel shall not enter cell during testing unless cleared otherwise. Every 30 minutes all cameras monitoring SCP XXXX are to be turned off for exactly .5 seconds. No personnel may enter or open the cell during this time.

Description: SCP XXXX is a 8.5 x 6 inch mutable pencil and paper drawing. Pencil graphite displays normal chemical composition but paper contains nano-polymer carbon filaments of unknown purpose. Its exact image varies but always includes “Dear SCP Foundation”, an SCP logo, and “7-20-12819” in AD, presumably its origin date. It has never been observed or recorded actually changing its image and may be unable or unwilling to do so under human observation. Other content usually depicts SCP XXXX-A “Unity” an advanced starfaring civilization of humans and any combination of non-hostile Euclid and/or Keter class Objects, and SCP XXXX-B “Deluge” an extragalactic organism of likely hostile motives. SCP XXXX-B is usually depicted over burning buildings, deceased sapients, and armed defender machines. SCP XXXX can write data onto any nearby media, electronic or analog, usually documenting SCP XXXX-A and SCP XXXX-B in greater detail through text, images, and video. Photographic resolution exceeds any known camera created. SCP XXXX can be communicated with through any language of speech, input to computers it is accessing, and writing/drawing on SCP XXXX itself. It is not known to be sentient and will only return content based on key words or images like a computer database.
SCP XXXX-A “Unity”: starfaring civilization of humans, sapient Objects, artificial intelligence, and extraterrestrials. Post-scarcity egalitarian democracy. Known territory includes (redacted)% of Milky Way Galaxy and 168 alternate dimensions, 45 artificially built. Technology appears to utilize both anomalous and highly advanced mundane physics. Observed capabilities include space/time manipulation, quantum engineering, and planetary-scale anomaly synthesis. Sources energy from stars, hyperspace energy, quantum vacuum field, and (redacted). Artificial space structures of both mundane and anomalous design. Though SCP XXXX-A has containment procedures their policy is to try to use anomalies technologically and coexist with sentient Objects. Any functional blueprints or devices are SCP XXXX-A-1 subject to level 2 containment, level 4 for intended weapons. No such artifacts have been confirmed to exist. Founding origin varies but in at least 3 cases it is the SCP Foundation that makes SCP XXXX-A possible by “bridging” humans with other species and phenomena. How SCP XXXX-A protects itself from harmful anomalies and infohazards is unknown.
SCP XXXX-B “Deluge”: hostile Object possibly cyberorganic and/or negative-space based; attacks other life as a mutagenic disease, a swarm of biomechanical SCP XXXX-B-1 “Deluge drones” of varying sizes and combat roles, and a possibly anomalous area light years across that consumes stars and planets. Invades Galaxy mostly from outside, possibly extradimensional source. Its motive if any is undetermined. First contact with SCP XXXX-A on 11-4-12818 AD. SCP XXXX-A can be seen resisting SCP-XXXX-B with various weapons, units, and procedures.

SCP XXXX came into Foundation control on 11:30 a.m, (Date redacted) when a printer in office 098 flashed “from Unity” on its screen and printed 1 instance of SCP XXXX displaying the above image. No paper or ink was expended in the process. 15 staff present alerted the Foundation to the incident, observing from a distance until security personnel could recover it.

SCP XXXX-A-1 log excerpt
Description: orbital platform of (material redacted) 62 meters across that creates localized to star system scale areas with useful anomalous properties.
Purpose: habitat creation?
Technical: contains quantum computer controls to tailor anomalous properties and area size, then induces them via (mechanism redacted). Multiple can be networked to affect larger areas.
Note: the Foundation currently lacks the resources and safety clearance to launch such a device, which if successful would expose the existence of SCP to the public. Its potential to solve world problems should not be ignored, but unknown risks would be too great to deploy at present times.

Description: drone or wrist-mounted nano-alloy tube 3 centimeters long and .35 centimeters diameter that fires dimensional beam up to 20 miles to trap an enemy in temporal stasis for a specified period. Like other SCP XXXX-A-1 devices it can instantly adapt to any appendage and user. A lethal variant exists that can erase entire cities from timeline up to 50000000 miles or more.
Purpose: non-lethal weapon
Technical: can customize for other anomalous attacks. Nano-alloy matched no known chemical composition.
Note: Due to its use as a weapon, the Foundation instead built a rudimentary version that fires paper tennis balls up to 5 meters that convert into an equal mass of dry cereal of the wielder's choice upon contact with other solid or liquid matter. Power source from AA batteries, 3.3 watts per shot. Cereal chosen at mental command, though if no command is given the tennis ball converts into 1-centimeter tasteless carbohydrate cubes with the SCP logo on one side.

Description: self-writing paper sheet that can translate any language, human or otherwise, used within normal human perception range. Can interface with all known media including electronics and brain matter.
Purpose: communication
Technical: paper includes same nano-carbon filaments as SCP-XXXX.
Note: researchers reverse engineered a crude version they then used to communicate with 7 Euclid and 5 Keter class objects under file “paper dialogue”.

Description: collapsible straw picnic box 12 x 11 x 7 inches in volume. Fills with food of user’s exact nutritional needs and personal presence. Does not use anomalous ingredients unless the user would willingly consume such foodstuffs. Several testing personnel described their meals as “perfectly good” and “nostalgic”. Also works with non human life including Euclid and Keter class objects, though the safety of such foods to humans has not been tested. Can shrink to fit in any small container.
Purpose: food
Technical: the straw showed no anomalous chemical composition. In shrunk form it apparently lost up to 89% of its mass; where the mass goes is unknown.

SCP XXXX-1 data log excerpt (cleared for disclosure):

“Deluge War: Orion Arm 356732”
Media: digital .avi file, 5:43 long
Content: drone footage of war between SCP XXXX-A and SCP XXXX-B-1 in high orbit around Earth-type planet, stated in Orion Arm of Milky Way Galaxy. Mechanisms of observed weapons could not be determined at the time.

“What is Deluge?”
Media: brain of Dr. Richard (Class C field member)
Content: Unknown data about SCP XXXX-B’s goal, physiology, and possibly origin.
Note: As part of testing Richard entered the cell where he wrote on SCP XXXX-B “What is the Deluge? Why does it do this?” 30 seconds later Richard exhibited extreme distress and anxiety and plead SCP XXXX not to write the data elsewhere. SCP XXXX displayed a drawing of SCP XXXX-B and 11 instances of SCP XXXX-B-1. Upon questioning Richard refused to disclose the data and said he would take his life if necessary. He has since been contained for his own good and is subject to 24/7 surveillance. All items he receives are first subject to safety review and when outside his cell he must be accompanied by staff at all times.

“We Together”
Media: handwritten text on paper; graphite showed no anomalous composition when examined.
Content: “The Deluge Cults want to divide us, to make us hate and fear each other so we won't fight back as their God devours us all. I have mom, brother, talkburger, and Akheqyl with me, and I love them all. Cultists, find a new hobby, for your ‘Star-Father’ will find us not squabbling in the dark but standing up for our future.”
Note: Researcher Dr. Francis has framed this SCP XXXX-1 instance with others in his office for personal reasons.
