"It's a bit over the top, isn't it?"
"The team workshopped a few different names; Spirit Sands, Tide of Souls, Beached Lives. Beach of Souls was just-"
"I meant all of it. The particles of sand being human bone. The blood water. The hellspawn seagulls!"
"Our data has shown that grabbing the imagination helps to sell the more dangerous entries. Too tame and we risk no hits at all."
"But too much fridge logic and none of the big fish bite!"
"While true, newer groups of interest are easier to ensnare with a promise of power. Marshall, Carter, and Dark are hardly in the business of upheaving the status quo."
"I miss the days it could just be a rabbit with antlers in a box, maybe it pooped gold or something. It was just simpler."
"We still have those, but I'll remind you the list of anomalous animals has been getting fewer and fewer hits every year. Go big or go home, as they say."
"I guess it's just a shift, people become desensitized to things."
"Be happy it's a low META count for this. Part of the team was really pushing using an SCP with a script that would insert the reader's name, address, and family information alongside their most recent profile picture. Definitely would have freaked out any viewer, but the gimmick wore off too quickly."
"You just watch. You're going to be in my place, wishing for the "good ol' days" of body horror and human suffering. Some fresh-faced rep in front of you, pitching new entries with meta-memes and containment format screws."
