Flask

A photograph of SCP-5118 recovered from the ████ School of Anthropology.

Special Containment Procedures: One currently known instance of SCP-5118 is currently stored in Site-28 biohazard containment within a cold storage chamber measuring 5M X 5M x 3M, the airlock leading into the chamber is to be heated to no less than 75°C following any experiments on SCP-5118. No foundation personnel are to enter the containment chamber without standard foundation hazmat suits, and any who do so are to be formally reprimanded and quarantined in Site-28's sickbay until no signs of unidentified microbes are detected.

The containment chamber is to be equipped with a suitable array of lab equipment for identifying and cataloging the organisms and microorganisms found within the contents of SCP-5118, this equipment is to be cleaned biweekly to prevent any potential contamination.

Description: SCP-5118 is a small, metallic flask with an estimated capacity of about 30 fluid ounces. The flask itself poses no tangible hazard, however, it should be noted that the flask is exceptional in preventing the spoilage of it's contents, showing no signs of heat transfer within the vessel.

The contents of SCP-5118, while potentially naturally occuring and mundane, are to be considered anomalous unless stated otherwise by Foundation Personnel with level 4 or higher security clearance or Dr. ████, the chief researcher assigned to SCP-5118.

Pending further investigation, SCP-5118's contents appear to be a thin stew containing various specimens of anomalous biomatter. The currently identified specimens of the stew all match fossil records that would accurately date the contents somewhere between the Silurian and Devonian periods1. Any and all unique specimens of biomatter are to be reported to Dr. ████ immediately, sans microbial specimens.

The identified contents of SCP-5118 are as follows:
