Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 10x10 feet concrete thick room lined with five (5) feet of Asbestos and Zetex fabric behind a layer of one (1) inch thick tungsten in Site-76. SCP-XXXX is to be displayed on a standard humanoid mannequin in full dress order. Entrance to the containment chamber shall only be permissible through a two (2) inch thick Tungsten Asbestos containment door, and entrance access is only to be granted to Level-3 personnel. In the event of a containment failure, SCP-XXXX will be doused in large amounts of fire retardant foam mixed with dry powder chemicals and Asbestos granules until SCP-XXXX is pushed back into its containment chamber using an Asbestos Tungsten hydraulic claw, operated by MTF personnel in Zetex fire proximity suits. Once SCP-XXXX is recontained, the containment chamber will be purged of oxygen and SCP-XXXX-A will be removed from SCP-XXXX itself. SCP-XXXX must not be permitted to be removed from its containment chamber under any circumstances without the approval of a Dr. Thompson.
Description: SCP-xxxx is a soviet-era fire proximity suit recovered from the Zvyozdochka naval shipyard currently containing the Russian naval aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. SCP-xxxx was found within a firefighting storage locker aboard the ship (see Discovery Log). SCP-XXXX takes the shape of what is presumed to be a standard TOK-200 fire protective suit used by aircraft firefighters aboard the ship (from the year 1970 and onwards) made from a woven 5-layer asbestos fabric integrated with a woven aluminum heat reflective outer layer. The suit consists of an a fire protective Hood,
a matching jacket along with trousers containing integrated boots, and matching gloves, with the whole ensemble weighing sixteen (16) pounds (7.2KG). All attempts to communicate with the suit have failed as the suit appears to be non sentient.
On donning the suit, the test subject is now referred to as SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-A will experience an acute form of psychosis, believing the reality he or her is in is currently on fire. SCP-XXXX-A will attempt to put out said fires with what is to be described as a “never ending firehose”, as SCP-XXXX-A will be in the figure of holding said firehose with nothing present within his hands. Upon SCP-XXXX-A using the firehose to spray an object perceived to be on fire, said object will burst into high intensity flames which spread within seconds to engulf the entire room. The firehose of SCP-XXXX-A can set on fire all non-flammable objects except for Tungsten Asbestos material. SCP-XXXX-A will continue to fight the perceived fires throughout the facility or building which is perceived to be on fire, eventually engulfing the entire facility and building with flames, this being followed by SCP-XXXX-A stating the fire has been successfully put out.
SCP-XXXX-A will leave the building and expire, as SCP-XXXX-A would be found with severe burns inside the building, as well as donning the suit of traditional firefighters of the subject's nation of origin. The subject will be found next to a poster, claiming “MISSING FIREFIGHTER LAST SEEN AT THIS ADDRESS” along with a photo attached of the subject with unidentified firefighters taking a group photo. Meanwhile, the suit will be found laying outside the target building on the floor.
ADDENDUM-XXXX-1 (Discovery): SCP-XXXX was discovered by Mobile Task Force Epsilon-9 ("Fire Eaters"), aboard the Admiral Kuznetsov ship during the ship's 2019 fire. The suit was found laying on the deck after firefighting efforts were successful. Posterior to reviewing video tape footage, SCP-XXXX was taken by foundation agents, and Class-A amnestics were administered to all civilians involved with the firefighting efforts, the fire in question was labeled as an industrial accident ----------------------——
Incident Log XXXX-1: On 09/06/2020, Dr. Fernández performed a test with SCP-XXXX to attempt and communicate with it. During the test, 3 Class-D personnel entered the containment chamber. While Dr. Fernández was giving instructions to the Class-D subjects, he had been distracted by a stack of documents falling to the floor. While taking them back, D-18927 decided to don the suit, and was designated as SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-A was quickly affected by the psychosis and sprayed the remaining Class-D personnel with the hallucinatory hose, terminating them. Quickly, SCP-XXXX-A breached containment and terminated Dr. Fernández along with the security personnel of the containment chamber. The breach of SCP-XXXX-A, and its effect of being able to set non-flammable objects on fire, resulted in the breach of 8 other SCPs, 5 of them being hostile, and of 5 them being injured by the effects of SCP-XXXX-A. Mobile Task Force Epsilon-9 ("Fire Eaters") was deployed, and SCP-XXXX was recontained with the deaths of 28 foundation personnel (4 of them being Epsilon-9 operatives) and the casualties of 47 others.
ADDENDUM-XXXX-1
The containment chamber door of SCP-XXXX must now be fully covered in two-inch thick Tungsten Asbestos from now on. - Dr. Fischer, Director of the Containment Committee.
Note 1: I suggest to the O5 council that we should employ SCP-XXXX for the termination of SCP-469. It would stop the waste of resources that the researchers put for the containment procedures. - Dr. Braun, member of the SCP-469 research team.
