Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a opaque holding vault within a standard containment cell. If personnel is to open the vault for any reason, it must be done remotely as to prevent the effects of SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a miniature tree modeled after a common pine species, decorated with beads and a star ornament placed on the top typically found within households for Christmas preparation.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous traits are shown when a subject is placed in the presence of SCP-XXXX. When SCP-XXXX is in line of sight, the subject begins to manifest the urge to get closer within the proximity of SCP-XXXX. Between 2-5 minutes, the urge overwhelms the subject, seeming to completely control the wills of the subject.

If concentration is broken, effects of SCP-XXXX do not ware off until
eye contact cannot be made with it any longer. If kept in proximity of SCP-XXXX, the subject will, in a matter of 8-10 minutes, report seeing a brightening light. Shortly after the statement (averaging 5 seconds), the subject suddenly falls unconscious, and noticeable burns, typically of the 3rd degree, appear.

With further examination, the burns do reportedly penetrate facial and abdominal regions, causing symptoms of blindness, constipation, breathing problems, urination problems, and damaged cognitive functions. The majority of subjects die within the next week if the injuries are not treated.
