SCP-XXXX, the Augment Factory

Special Containment Procedures: Any and all instances of XXXX-1, XXXX-1a, XXXX-2 or XXXX-2a are to be destroyed through any means possible. Bodies are to be completely incinerated with thermite, then purged with radiation levels of no less than 1000 rads. No less than five teams of six D class personnel are to be deployed at all times, specifically to hunt down any instances of XXXX-1, XXXX-1a, XXXX-2 and XXXX-2a. Another five teams of six D class are to be kept on perimeter patrol. Another three teams of six D class are to be kept on duty as an emergency reserve.
XXXX is to be observed by satellite at all times through ground penetrating radar and thermal imaging.
No personnel outside of those assigned to containment are to be allowed within containment perimeter at any time. Any creature attempting to enter the perimeter is to be destroyed on site.
Personnel deployed on containment duty are to be rotated after no longer than three months of duty, and be given a full psychological and physical examination. They will be quarantined for a total of five months after their tour of duty guarding XXXX. Any attempt to break quarantine should be responded to with lethal force, unless approved by the 0-5 counsel. Only MTF teams may serve more than one rotation guarding XXXX
Use of nuclear weapons with a yield of up to 10 megatons is authorized in case of containment breach.
Anomalous entities are to be prevented from entering 0000 by any means possible. Nuclear weapons of any yield are authorized to ensure this by direct order of the 0-5 counsel.
Description: XXXX is seemingly a large arrangement of cogs and wheels, filling an underground area of approximately one square mile, and goes one half mile deep into the ground. The entrance appears similar to "steampunk" themes, being constructed entirely of brass and baring a sigil of a cog with the Pythagorean theorem inscribed in Classical Greek in the center of the arch over the entrance. This is hidden within a cave beneath the - mountains. The cave itself appears to be naturally formed and ancient, with —— pictographs along the entrance. It is believed that XXXX was not in with the cave when the pictographs were made, as several of the pictographs are cut off by XXXX's entrance.
Ground penetrating radar shows no evidence of any axles or any other mechanism to hold the cogs and wheels in place, nor has any pattern in the movement of the individual, or groups of pieces of XXXX been determined as of yet. It stays at a consistent .9 degrees Fahrenheit at all times, which makes tracking any organism attempting to enter XXXX far easier.
There is a single hall from the entrance leading towards a empty chamber. The hall measures fifteen feet tall, by twenty feet wide and sixty three feet, one and one quarter inches long. The chamber is perfectly spherical, with a diameter of fifty feet. Upon an organic entering the chamber it will seal for five minutes and seventeen seconds. Upon opening the organic will exit the structure and behave exactly as before, save that it will no longer be subject to the psychic compulsion to enter the structure that all organics appear subject to upon entering line of sight of the sigil above the entrance.
Interior design is completely unknown beyond dimensions, as any remotely operated device fails upon passing the entrance, including hand held recording devices or cameras affixed to an organism by any means. It is unknown what has happened to any of the five probes sent in.
Any human exiting the structure is now designated 0000-1, and any animals are to be designated 0000-1a. For unknown reasons only land dwelling vertebrates are subject to 0000's modifications. Insects, birds, and aquatic animals appear to be completely immune to the psychic effects of the sigil. No testing has been done to see if anomalous entities are subject to the effects of 0000. By order of the 0-5 counsel any attempt to intentionally introduce an anomaly to 0000 will result in immediate execution of all personnel involved or who had any knowledge of the attempt.
XXXX-1/XXXX-1a will immediately find a safe and hidden location to hibernate in, regardless of the inclination their species has to hibernate or the time of year. After spending exactly four months and thirty seconds in tupor, they will awaken. Upon awakening they will be in perfect health and their physical capabilities will be boosted to roughly double the peak performance for their species in all respects. This will include regenerating any injuries, including restoring previously broken bones to new and regrowing severed limbs. Further they will no longer need to sleep.
Initially the only sign of XXXX-1 or XXXX-1a instances is the lack of a need to sleep and boosted physical capabilities. Human subjects will either lie about feeling different, or simply not notice that they no longer need sleep and are significantly more physically capable. Further XXXX-1 and XXXX-1a instances will only utilize their greater physical capabilities if in some form of danger, otherwise they will not exceed any feats they were physically capable of prior to enhancement.
After six days, three hours, and forty three seconds post tupor they will sleep for twelve hours and eight minutes. Upon awakening their eyes will have been replaced with mechanical eyes. As with the lack of a need to sleep, the subject will seemingly not notice any difference, although subjects have responded to all wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation after this augmentation. At this point they are designated XXXX-2/XXXX-2a.
The eyes are always formed of numerous cogs that are constantly shifting and moving, although the subject will either lie about it, or not notice any discomfort or any difference in their reflection or picture. This will result in the color of the eyes constantly shifting as well as appearing to expand and contract at irregular intervals.
It should be noted that animals will always attempt to return directly to the structure upon awakening as 0000-2a, although they have not been noticed to act with hostility to any force attempting to stop them. To date no anomalous entity or object has been either seen interacting with XXXX or been tested in regards to XXXX by order of the 0-5 counsel. Further it is unknown what would occur should a XXXX-2a instance enter XXXX, as teams of D Class and MTF teams have successfully killed every known instance of XXXX-2a before it reached 100 yards of the entrance to XXXX.
During the first cycle they will act completely normally. Currently there is no consensus among researchers if this is an act, or if the subjects are somehow blocked from recognizing their own augmentation.
During the second cycle they will still act mostly normally, although occasionally they will mention "marching into the future" and "evolving beyond what nature intended". They will start to attempt to convince others to visit 0000 starting seven days, seven hours, seven minutes, and seven seconds after awakening. There are no recorded instances of XXXX-2 in any way attempting to force anyone else to interacting with XXXX. They will always be more polite than usual when trying to convince people they speak with.
It is unknown if there are further cycles or what augmentations come next, as no subject has been allowed to live through the second cycle per orders of the 0-5 counsel. Further testing on all XXXX-1, XXXX-1a, XXXX-2, or XXXX-2a instances has been explicitly forbidden, subject to immediate termination of all personnel involved. Standing orders are to kill any and all instances of XXXX-1, XXXX-1a, XXXX-2, XXXX-2a, or any other subject showing any signs of XXXX augmentation.

subject XXXX-3 is a human male of Caucasian descent with a french accent. He claims to be from the year 2501 and has the characteristic eyes of XXXX-2 instances. However he also displays teeth that have a metallic appearance, with the same being true for his finger and toe nails. Additionally he has claimed to be invulnerable to any toxin. This has been demonstrated, at one point the subject consumed a gallon of gasoline without issue.
While he repeats claims that XXXX is "the future", he does not claim it is a bright future as XXXX-2 instances will. He insists that XXXX is necessary for humanity's survival against "the great enemy of life", but refuses to elaborate.
XXXX-3 has remained docile and cooperative, even to the point of volunteering his left little finger as a sample. The finger in question had a metallic sheen and when flexed the impression of gears and cogs could be seen under the skin instead of the bone structure of a normal human. Upon dissecting it, it was revealed that all the calcium had been replaced by a metal of unknown origin. Likewise the nerves were now more akin to organically produced fiber-optic wires than human nerves.
XXXX-3 provided his name as Incili. Incili has stated that currently XXXX is not fully active and that containment and culling of any "poorly augmented" is necessary until it reaches full activation to avoid "creating the abomination". He has further stated that he does not know specifically when XXXX will fully activate, but that states he was told that "When the earth quaked, and foundations crumbled, when the flesh hated itself and the shadows crawled, Shelmach opened its eyes and saw humanity's suffering."
The subject refuses to clarify what he means by this. Given information gathered by the Foundation and the information the subject has provided we are willing to trust him at face value and follow his advice.
Subject XXXX-3 will be purged from the database, any personnel outside of the 0-5 counsel who have seen or heard of him will be given a full amnesiac, and he will be known as Agent Prometheus from now on.
Addendum:
Blood tests on XXXX-1 and XXXX-1a; results classified and restricted to level 4 personnel. No signs of nano-tech or other technological origin for these augmentations, leading researchers to believe that despite the apparent cybernetic nature of the augmentation to the eyes and the seemingly mechanical nature of XXXX, that it and it's effects are supernatural in origin.
Eyes recovered from XXXX-2, and XXXX-2a instances continue to move and shift, alarmingly one sample started to expand, destroying site -, during which it survived high explosives without receiving damage before Agent -- in a move of desperation detonated a 10 kiloton nuclear device. The agent and all other personnel at site —- died, but the sample was confirmed destroyed with no traces left behind. Due to this all remains of any XXXX-1, XXXX-1a, XXXX-2, or XXXX-2a are to be destroyed, first with heat, preferably thermite, then highly contentrated radiation, as this has been seen to have a drastically negative impact on all XXXX-1, XXXX-1a, XXXX-2, and XXXX-2a instances.
Origin unknown. No analysis of the metals that XXXX is made of have been done. What is known is that the structure itself appears to be invulnerable to any efforts made to take a sample, and display no signs of weathering.

Agent Blaze was investigating rumors of cybernetically enhanced wildlife, specifically a large pack of wolves that could move "faster than the wind". Upon discovering the entrance to XXXX junior Agent —— was enthralled by the sigil and attempted to enter. Agent Blaze shot his comrade and reported the anomaly to SCP command.
Before further assistance could be sent the wolves reached the second cycle and attempted to enter. Agent Blaze was able to kill all of the wolves before any of them entered XXXX.
At this point D class personnel and various animals were used to experiment on XXXX. None of the D Class could describe what occurred in the chamber, or the design of the interior, and all were executed shortly after reaching the second stage.
