Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4822 is to be kept inside standard 15x15x15 meter innanimate object containment chamber, with a bullet proof window facing the rear of SCP-4822. Standard security shutters are to be fitted on the window, only to be opened whilst SCP-4822 is being tested. SCP-4822 is to be unplugged at all times whilst not being tested, and no direct eye contact with SCP-4822 is to be made at anytime. All cameras facing SCP-4822’s screen are to be turned off during testing, and replaced after the test has been concluded. Lights must be turned on inside SCP-4822’s containment chamber at all times, only during testing they may be turned off. In the event of a blackout, SCP-4822’s containment chamber is fitted with an emergency generator which must be monitored by a member of the on-site engineering staff. No less than two armed guards are to be stationed outside of SCP-4822’s containment chamber at all times.
Description: SCP-4822 is a black colored arcade machine with a standard red analog stick to the left of the dashboard with a singular button to the right. The word “POLYBIUS” is written at the top of the machine written in the font "Bius Titel". The text is of a cyan colour with a thin border surrounding it. SCP-4822 is currently held at Site-13 in research sector 2. During testing, SCP-4822 is to be plugged in by the Class-D subject who will then sit down in front of SCP-4822 and insert a 50 cents coin. At this point subject will be marked as SCP-4822-1. After testing has been concluded, SCP-4822-1 is either to be terminated or moved to a standard humanoid containment cell for study. When SCP-4822-1 has inserted the provided 50 cents coin and started the game, they will develop symptoms (Note: this depends on how far they have progressed into the game). Currently known symptons are listed below:
