Special Containment Procedures: Because of the random nature and occurrence of SCP-XXXX it is currently not containable but is considered by the foundation as safe and therefore presents no threat.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a global anomaly that can be observed in all proprietary or non-proprietary standard USB flash drive devices; Objects with similar shape and purpose to USB Flash drives have been observed with characteristics similar to SCP-XXXX. Upon attempting to plug in a device affected with SCP-XXXX (hereby called SCP-XXXX-1) the user has great difficulty correctly inserting, despite numerous meaningful attempts.
Although trivial it is believed that the repeated turns necessary to use any instance of SCP-XXXX-1 may stem from a local non-euclidean1 space deviation causing standard geometrical reasoning to falter, thus excessive numbers of turns is required to reach the correct orientation.
During the procedure it has been reported that signs of frustration and anger can occur, however it is unknown whether this is direct result of SCP-XXXX-1 or basic human response to repetitive action. It should be noted that these feelings soon fade after inserting the device and that they carry no long term significant damage. (see Test XXXX-A)
This phenomenon has been observed worldwide, and roughly affects ██% of all USB Stick devices, occurring randomly with no visible cause. A device which has previously been affected does not retain the characteristics of SCP-XXXX but can be afflicted in the future.

Subject: Class-D Personnel
Procedure:Dr.B███: Can you please approach and pick up the flash drive on that desk for me.
Class-D: Why am i doing this again? it's a flash drive.
Dr.B███: Please do so without further questioning.
The Class-D Personnel picks up the flash drive, observes it and then stand waiting for next orders
Dr.B███: We would like you to view the contents of the drive on the computer in front of you, narrate all that occurs from now until further notice.
As the Class-D Personnel attempts to plug it into one of the external USB slots on the computer and clear stress is seen in their expression as they fail to do so twice in a row
Class-D: Is this a trick? i can't seem to get it in.
Dr.B███: We simply want a description of the contents of the drive, please you carry on.
With anger the Class-D subject attempts 3 more times, each with turns of the device until it plugs in
Class-D: there's nothing on here! Why would you do this?
Dr.B███: You may be dismissed.
For the next hour the Class-D was monitored for any signs of abnormal behaviours but simply showed an increased level of stress and irritation presumed to be in result of the prolonged containment.
