Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is contained using a large laser-confinement grid that holds and restrains the specter. If containment is breached, the foundation must rely on its high security level and relationship with other international high security bureaus to track reports of sightings of SCP-XXXX to locate and re-contain. Assistance from a telekinetic is required to identify the exact location of the specter to deploy the confinement grid accurately. A mobile task force must be deployed with a mobile confinement grid and contain the anomaly "where it is found". The anomaly cannot be moved / transported. A complex must be built on the discovery location. The current location is near the Bhangarh Fort in India.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is an ethereal specter of a yellow house (also called the Ghost House) that appears to selected Individuals (selection is a topic of debate, it is unknown if the house has motive or if selection is random). It can appear anywhere in various magnification. Survivors of the house describe it as both ominous and alluring. The first sighting seems to possess some consistency in that it allures by displacing itself. As an example, Survivor 1 fist saw the yellow house while driving. It was sitting in the distance at the top of a tree covered hill in the middle of nowhere at a high magnitude (it appeared larger than typical size). Survivor 2 fist saw the house at a lower magnification (it appeared smaller than typical size) in an urban area between two tall buildings. No one can see the house except that who is selected. Attempts by all survivors that try to show other family members or friends the house fail. No one can see the house except the selected individual. In all cases, SCP-XXXX will belabor its victim into entering the house. The best example to convey the house’s conviction is Survivor 3’s story. Survivor 3 saw the home three different times with incremental aggression before she entered on the fourth sighting. Sighting 1 was beside her deceased mother’s house at typical magnitude; sighting 2 was directly across the street from her own home at typical magnitude; sighting 3 was across the street but closer, infringing on her front lawn at a very high magnitude; finally, the doors of the house showed up in her bedroom preventing her form using any other exit.
The front door of the yellow house is a portal to another dimension called SCP-XXXX-1 “The Yellow House Dimension”. SCP-XXXX-1 is an interconnected labyrinth of various constructs from a dark cavern to a 18th century manor. It can have old and new furnishings, modern appliances, castle corridors, all interconnected. Once a selected individual enters SCP-XXXX-1 through SCP-XXXX, the entrance of SCP-XXX disappears. The first room is consistently a 18th century home receiving area with 5 doors: two on the left, 2 on the right and 1 on the far side of the room. Where you enter becomes a wall behind you once you walk in. Beyond this receiving area, consistency becomes obscure.
There is a way out of SCP-XXXX-1 but there is no consistency to each survivor’s story on how they got out. There is conjecture among our researchers that the house chooses people who need to overcome an obstacle, such as in Survivor 1 and Survivor 3 having overcome substance abuse issues while in SCP-XXXX-1 and continue their sobriety to this day. Survivor 2 rebuilt a relationship with an estranged daughter after surviving SCP-XXXX-1. However, there is not enough evidence to support this idea.
There are many captives that roam the house that have been coined “Wrapts” by Survivor 1. SCP-XXXX-3 “Wrapt” is a humanoid that has been trapped in the house long enough to be possessed by some form of trance allegedly brought on by too lengthy of an exposure to the terrors of the labyrinth – namely SCP-XXX-4 & 5 (described herein). Wrapts have more or less “lost their minds” and revert to believing that they are performing a task that would have been part of their daily routine in their life before they became captive in SCP-XXXX-1. Survivor 1 recalls encountering a Wrapt that thought he was still performing his role as a front-line agent at a banking center and was trying to encourage him to set up an account. The man had been badly mutilated around the face (likely by SCP-XXXX-5) but did not acknowledge this or even seem to feel pain. Survivor 1 recalls how uncanny it was how he navigated around a service desk that wasn’t there, sat on the edge of a chair that wasn’t there. Survivor 1 says, “the trouble with the Wrapts was that they could give your position away if you were hiding.” When asked why he called them Wrapts, Survivor 1 said, “because they were all wrapped up in themselves and their own little worlds.” He described them as the ones who “simply could not overcome their obstacles and therefore would never be let out”.
There are two Humanoid Euclid class entities within SCP-XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX-4 “The Stalker” and SCP-XXXX-5 “The Creeper”. SCP-XXXX-4 is a tall man with white long hair. His face is always concealed by a dark wide brim hat. He wears a long duster coat with large black boots. His face is usually concealed except for what looks like a rotting lower jaw. His eyes are described as two small white lights cast in shadow. He carries with him a long wood cutting axe. According to Survivor 1, an encounter with SCP-XXXX-4 usually means death. He survived only by being in a long corridor and running from him. The stalker does not run but only walks quickly. Survivor 1 recalls seeing the stalker from a distance descending on another man with agility. “There were two sounds: the axe hitting the man and the man hitting the floor.” The stalker, having done his work, immediately moved on… “his steady robotic pace emanating loudly throughout the halls”. The stalker will attack survivors, but it does not seem to attack Wrapts. SCP-XXXX-5 is consistently described as being a half man half dog like creature, always cast in shadow so its color is unknown. It could be white or grey. It has only a mouth on its head, wide and brimming with teeth. It is usually seen crouched in a dark corner with its claws draped between its knees bobbing up and down rapidly. It does not always attack. Sometimes the Creeper will run right past you or will slowly crawl past you. Other times it flies at you from the shadows and will eviscerate its prey violently. It does not always finish off its victims but will leave a part of you mutilated. The Creeper will attack Wraps inconsistently killing them altogether or severely injuring them.
