Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is stored in its anomalous vehicle bay at Site 17, and is fitted with a GPS tracker. Maintenance of SCP-XXXX must occur weekly. SCP-XXXX-1 is contained in a well-ventilated standard humanoid containment cell at Site 17 with carbon monoxide detectors, and a tracking device has been implanted in it. Because SCP-XXXX-1 has exhibited cooperative behavior, it is to be granted Level 1 clearance and allowed to help maintain Site-17’s land vehicles. SCP-XXXX-1 also has the privilege to drive SCP-XXXX on a road course within Site-17 once a week. SCP-XXXX-2 is to be stored in a standard locker in SCP-XXXX’s anomalous vehicle bay. Under no circumstances is anyone but SCP-XXXX-1 or D-Class Personnel (Handling via D Class suspended, see Incident #XXXX-A) allowed inside SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1969 Ford Mustang which was recovered from a junkyard by SCP-XXXX-1, and subsequently restored and modified beyond its original state. SCP-XXXX-1 is a male Asian-American whose age is ██, and weighs 70 kg and is 178 cm tall. Before being detained, SCP-XXXX-1 worked as an automotive engineer. SCP-XXXX-1 noticed increased muscle mass, intelligence, and a substantial knowledge increase about automobiles upon entering SCP-XXXX, which is believed to be the result of SCP-XXXX-1 becoming the “master” of SCP-XXXX. This new automotive knowledge has led to SCP-XXXX-1 being able to provide data about SCP-3899, SCP-████, and SCP-2445 to the Foundation. Because of the supposed benefits SCP-XXXX-1 has gained from SCP-XXXX, it is to be subjected to further tests to determine how SCP-XXXX has affected SCP-XXXX-1. Later, SCP-XXXX was stolen, but was found with the thief dead, having his neck snapped, driving autonomously. Shortly after Foundation operatives were made aware of the event, Class A Amnestics were administered to the local population and a cover story involving sudden cardiac arrest was fabricated. SCP-XXXX was later taken in by the Foundation on ██/██/20██, and moved to Site-17. SCP-XXXX-1 was detained by the Foundation on the same day, and his workplace was told that he suffered a heart attack which killed him soon after.

The anatomy of SCP-XXXX-1 is a particular subject of interest. Much of SCP-XXXX-1's bodily fluids have been replaced by automotive fluids. Various examples of bodily fluid replacement include SCP-XXXX-1's blood with motor oil, its cerebrospinal fluid with brake fluid, and its urine with gasoline. In addition, SCP-XXXX's heart has been replaced with a two-stroke single cylinder engine measured to be around 280 cm3. This results in SCP-XXXX-1 exhaling gases found in car exhaust such as nitrous oxide and carbon monoxide, which can prove fatal to other persons if they maintain close distance with SCP-XXXX-1 over a long period of time. SCP-XXXX-1 is unaffected by this, save for slight coughing when in an enclosed space for an extended period of time. It is unknown how SCP-XXXX-1 is able to survive with such anatomy.

Experiment results done with Class-D personnel show that anyone besides the owner will die by having their neck snapped after 10 to 30 seconds upon entering SCP-XXXX, although there is a 15% chance that a person will become [DATA REDACTED]. When SCP-XXXX is moved/driven by someone other than the owner, it will drive autonomously to a random location within an estimated 30 km radius, breaking through/going around anything in its way. Tests have shown SCP-XXXX appears to suffer minimized damage from collisions with obstacles, and it appears to be able to break through all materials, with the only exception theorized to be [DATA REDACTED], which is currently unobtainable. If SCP-XXXX is damaged, rubbing it with a standard 10 mm socket wrench will slowly repair it. Most of SCP-XXXX’s components seem to not degrade over time, only requiring fluid changes, tire changes, and fuel.

Addendum 1: Interview Log-XXXX-1-01: (Log in progress)

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-1

Interviewer: Dr. █████

Foreword: The purpose of this interview is to obtain more information on SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 and their nature. Interview was conducted in SCP-XXXX-1's containment chamber.

<Begin Log>
Dr. █████: Hello SCP-XXXX-1. Can you please introduce yourself?

SCP-XXXX-1: Hello doctor. My name is Ethan █████ and I used to be an auto engineer, until you guys decided it was fine to kidnap me. However, it seems I am stuck here now.

Dr. █████: I see. Unfortunately, we are not permitted to release you for fear of a secrecy breach. Answer these questions, and your time in here will be short. How did you obtain your car?

SCP-XXXX-1: Alright, I'll answer your questions. I bought my car from a junkyard, and I restored it to a workable condition. I was modifying it for autocross1 until you guys showed up.

Dr. █████: When did you notice you and your car's unusual properties?

SCP-XXXX-1: When I started restoring the interior, I suddenly felt stronger, smarter, and I knew a whole lot more about cars, it just felt like information instantly filled my head. About my car, when that thief came and tried to steal it, I was worried until I saw my car with a dead body inside, driving towards my house, and it stopped in the middle of the street. That was really weird.

Addendum 2: Incident #XXXX-A:

On ██/██/20██, while a team of D-Class personnel were moving SCP-XXXX by pushing SCP-XXXX‘s shifter into neutral via a pole, SCP-XXXX suddenly accelerated and escaped Site-17. SCP-XXXX was found at [DATA REDACTED] and was subsequently returned to its bay. All witnesses of the event were administered Class A Amnestics.
