Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard low level anomalous item storage locker at Site-XX. Access to the item is available to any Site-XX personal upon them making a formal request to the Project Lead, currently Dr. ████████ Rue. Any items produced by SCP-XXXX-B are to be catalogued and held in quarantine for 48 hours before being released into the custody of the subject who caused the manifestation. All conversations had between Site-XX staff and SCP-XXXX-A are to be recorded and kept logged in Site-XX non-anomalous document archives.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation given to a mirror, designated SCP-XXXX-A, an oak chest designated SCP-XXXX-B, and the objects produced by said chest, designated SCP-XXXX-C.
SCP-XXXX-A is a mirror, made from standard mirrored glass housed in an oak frame and stand, standing 2 meters tall and .7 meters wide at its widest. The objects anomalous properties manifest when any human being capable of recognizing their own reflection looks into the mirror. Upon activation the subjects reflection becomes a sapient intelligence capable of performing actions not performed by the subject. This intelligence is capable of conversing with the subject and is usually described as amicable. It typically enjoys talking about fashion and recommending styles or articles of clothing to the subject.
SCP-XXXX-B is an oak chest, 1 meter in width, .7 meters in depth, and .6 meters in height. When opened the interior is empty and is able to hold object as expected. The chests anomalous properties do not manifest until SCP-XXXX-A gestures towards it while active. Upon activation of the chests properties an article of clothing manifests inside of the chest. These articles of clothing are designated SCP-XXXX-C.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-C are universally described by the subject that caused the manifestation as comfortable and well fitting. 94% of the manifestations induce feelings of confidence. As of 09/21/2017 14 instances of SCP-XXXX-C have had additional anomalous properties and have been designated SCP-XXXX-C-1 through -14. Addendum XXXX-1 Recovery of the SCP object occured on 03/15/2014 in the town of █████ ████, N████ C███████, USA. The objects were recovered from a warehouse belonging to a company called “Better Living, Better Choices.” The objects were found in crates with stickers reading “Better Living, One Choice at a time.”
Addendum XXXX-2
Foreword: All SCP objects listed below change size to comfortably fit subjects before additional anomalous effects occur.
SCP-XXXX-C-1 is an ███ brand Cardigan of red coloration. When worn by a human subject the object causes the subjects arms to irreparably grow to a length of 4 meters. When removed, the cardigan returns to normal size and shape, but the subjects arms do not. The growth of the subjects arms causes discomfort, and also causes the growth of additional joints every meter along the arm starting where the wrists used to be.
SCP-XXXX-C-6 is a pair of ████ brand jeans of dark blue coloration. When worn by a human subject the object causes growth of additional calves and feet from the sides and backs of the subjects knees. This is physically painful and emotionally alarming to the subject and requires multiple amputations. The object cannot be removed until at least 3 additional legs have grown from each knee joint, and requires the object to be cut off the subject. The object repairs any damage incurred after approximately 13 minutes.
SCP-XXXX-C-8 is a pair of black ████████ Industrial gloves that, when worn by a human subject causes the subjects hands to fall of. Over the course of the next 35 to 55 minutes the subject grows a single finger the approximate size of the lost hands. The type of finger is randomly selected and has been an even split between the 5 digits typically found on a human hand.
