Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept locked at all times in a standard containment locker. At no time are any personnel allowed to turn on SCP-XXXX or interact with it for more than 10 minutes. Subjects who use SCP-XXXX are not to be spoken to and are to immediately be given Class-B amnestics. If this is not done, the Subject is to be reclassified as SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX is to be reclassified as Keter. Locating SCP-XXXX-A is to be made a Level-4 priority and MTF unit Mu-4 ("Debuggers") is to be deployed.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard blue calculator of unknown brand, measuring 12.7x8.9 centimeters. SCP-XXXX has no anomalous properties unless it is turned on and used by a subject to perform a math problem. Once a problem is inputted, SCP-XXXX will proceed to give a correct incorrect answer to the user. The subject will then proceed to believe this as the correct answer to the math function, and when questioned about it the subject will explain the math problem in a way to make the questioner also believe that the incorrect answer is the correct answer to the problem. This can be treated with Class-B amnestics with 95% success. Subjects that failed treatment are to be terminated.
Addendum: Notes on recovery
SCP-XXXX was recovered in ██████, Iowa, after it was noticed that students in the area were consistently answering questions on the ████ incorrectly, specifically in questions concerning math. Agent ██████ was sent out for investigating and questioning however was infected with SCP-XXXX anomalous properties. Agent ██████ was successfully treated with Class-B amnestics and SCP-XXXX was recovered without incident. All affected students were successfully treated with Class-B amnestics.
