SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a locked filing cabinet available only to staff with level 4 access or higher.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a page of an unknown trivia magazine that was discovered in a filing cabinet of the russian school of [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCP-XXXX was found after reports of a large number of unusual child deaths via anomalous means in [DATA-EXPUNGED]. SCP-XXXX is a glossed A4 sheet of paper, on which is a quiz that consists of 20 multiple-choice questions that change with every completion of the quiz. The questions do not link in any way and can range from 'What is 6789 / 4' to 'What is Newton's third law?'. The quiz must be completed in no more than 10 minutes, otherwise the subject explodes via unknown means. SCP-XXXX seems to be resistant to any form of physical or chemical damage. When all questions have been answered, an event depending on the score of the test occurs. These have been fitted into 3 categories : fatal, harmful and miraculous. Fatal means that the subject has recieved a score of 10 or below, all events in this category result in the death of the subject. Harmful causes pain to the subject, physical or psychological, and occurs with a score of 11-15. Miraculous causes an unexplained event in favour of the subject and is a result of a score of 16-20.
Fatal:
1/20 - The subject slowly corrodes from the feet up over a period of 48 hours, starting with the epidermis layer of skin and ending when 'it' reaches the bone. This causes excruciating pain in the subject, in some cases the subject has screamed to the point of their vocal cords no longer functioning. No ways to stop this have currently been found
2/20 - The subject complains of pains in the neck, abdominal area and particularly in the throat. Approx. 2 hours after this score has been reached, the subject reaches temperatures of up to 78°C and dies of what seem to be extreme fever. This can not be treat as a regular high temperature and can only be delayed with cold temperatures.
3/20 - The subject is decomposed by maggots. When examined it shows the maggots duplicating by unknown means, but at a rate of 5kg of flesh / 100 maggots / hour they consume the flesh of the victim. This can start anywhere in the body but is most common in the feet or arms.
4/20 - The subject is plagued by what has what has been described by D-90988 as an 'unscratchable itch'. This causes the subject to enter a violent state, bringing harm to anyone who tries to prevent their goal of scratching their itch. This can be prevented by tieing up the subject, but not stopped. As of now no way has been found to trigger an end to the violent state of the subject.
5/20 - The subject reports of having severe hallucinations of what appear to be their worst fears, most of the time causing death by heart attack or shock. These hallucinations do not stop until the subject has died, the longest time to survive this fatal event has been 9 hours, 15 minutes and 46 seconds.
6/20 - The subjects body combusts and fire spreads rapidly across their internal organs.
7/20 - The subject attempts to bring harm to themself, varying from smashing their head against the wall to self extreme self asphyxia. One subject managed to steal a gun from [-], shooting themself several times in the stomach.
8/20 - The effects of this fatal event are under further investigation, however as of now it seems to cause severe cluster-headaches within the subject until death. It is unclear whether they are psychological or physical.
9/20 - This causes the subjects body to enter a state of paralysis, stopping lungs from functioning and leading to death from lack of oxygen. Death of the subject in this case can be prevented via Iron Lungs, however the paralysis of the subject remains and is unclear whether it is psychological or physical.
10/20 - This causes the subject to die of a heart attack within 5 minutes of completion of the test. This death is caused by extremely high blood pressure. 10 minutes after the subject has died, the subjects blood will secrete from the ears, mouth, nose and anus.
Harmful:
11/20 - The subjects becomes blind, losing all vision indefinitely. This is accompanied by a black liquid secreting from the salivary glands of the subject which has extremely hallucenogenic properties.
12/20 - The subject loses a limb, commonly a leg but some cases have shown an arm can also be lost. This limb can appear anywhere within a 1000m radius of the subject after 3 days of the score being reached.
13/20 - The subject experiences what can only be described as extremely improbable events such as getting struck by lightning twice in a row and surviving or falling over and breaking both arms and legs. This is theorised to be a cause of supernatural means due to the extreme inprobability of the events.
14/20 - The subject experiences amnestical effects across all regions of the brain. This mostly causes them to forget their name etc. however in some some severe cases it has resulted in the loss of ability in walking, writing, reading and even speaking.
15/20 - The subject is submitted to a permanent state of paralysis of which no means have been discovered to cause an exit out of this state so far. While in this state, the subject appears to stay in perfect health and does not seem to succumb to the effects of aging.
Miraculous:
16/20 - The subject experiences extremely abnormal secretion of dopamine from the anterior pituitary gland, commonly resulting in orgasm without any sexual stimuli. This lasts for a total of 20 minutes, after which the subject reports feeling immense pleasure or relaxation. This has caused clear psychological changes in personality in all subjects, resulting in more overall satisfaction with life.
17/20 - This causes the current surface of the subject walked on to turn to pure gold when exposed to their bare feet by anomalous means. This lasts for a total of 48 hours and works on biological matter. Due to the difficuilty of reaching this score, the cause behind this is currently unknown
18/20 - This gives the subject the ability to heal a sickness or deformity, even working on the fatally ill, with physical contact. This has worked on cancers, Sexually Transmited Infections, T1 diabetes, paralysis in the waist down and colour blindness. With physical deformities or diseases, this occurs via an abundance of stem cells in the hands that transfer to the organism in contact, replacing any damaged or unfunctional cells with new ones. With bacterial diseases, they are killed by unknown means.
19/20 - This causes a manifestation of SCP-XXXX-1, a small, dark-skinned, intangible humanoid that gives the subjects 3 of what it calls 'wishes'. SCP-XXXX-1 is capable of speech and seems to know the language of the subject. Despite attempts, these wishes can not be used to bring harm to another entity. If asked too much to bring harm to another entity, SCP-XXXX-1 disappears until a score of 19 is reached once again.
20/20 - The effects of this score are currently unknown as this score has not yet been reached. Testing is still underway in hopes of reaching this score.
Conditions & Rules: SCP-XXXX begins when ink is absorbed into the paper. When any dialect is within a 5 meter radius during the 'test', SCP-XXXX causes the subject and the source of the dialect to die of heart attack via [REDACTED]. If no questions have been answered and the 10 minutes has surpassed, SCP-XXXX causes the subject to vanish. The location of those vanished as of writing is unknown. If there is a break of longer than 30 seconds between a question being answered, the questions on the page change via chromatographic means in the ink. Upon completion of the quiz, the score is displayed upon the back of the page and the appropriate results occur to the subject.
Addendum:Testing of SCP-XXXX may only be authorised by level 4 access personell under strict testing conditions. Due to the extreme danger of SCP-XXXX, all testing of SCP-XXXX must be conducted with Dr. [DATA EXPUNGED] present.
