ITEM NUMBER: SCP-XXXX File

OBJECT CLASS: SAFE

DESCRIPTION: SCP-XXXX is a computer file containing an unknown amount of data concerning the SCPs that the Foundation have encountered, along with other various sensitive files.

CONTAINMENT: After discovery on the main server in Site 64 by Dr.█████████ the SCP-XXXX file was examined by the Site Manger who passed on the information to the 05 Council. The file was discovered to be unable to be copied or edited, after examination orders from the 05 Council where given to delete the file and its contents. This resulted in them appearing again on another server in another Foundation facility, this time being discovered by Site 64s manager. Another attempt to delete the file resulted in it appearing on the main server in Site 88. After the third attempt to delete the file it was discovered to have appeared in a civilians computer in ████████ ██, due to SCP-096 escaping confinement and appearing in the civilians residence resulting in incident 096-r13. After SCP-096 was contained and SCP-XXXX recovered it was decided to host the files on a remote server. The server was placed in Site 15 and hooked to an external power unit using SCP-████ to power the server indefinitely in case of site wide power failure. It is unknown if SCP-8905 will disappear from a unit housing it if it is disconnected from a power source.

CONTENTS: SCP-8905 is a file containing every digital and physical recording of SCPs the foundation has gathered since its founding. Even previously destroyed files and reports where found inside SCP-8905. Each file does not require any security clearance to open and none are retracted. There are also reports and pictures of SCPs that either never existed or differ from files currently contained in the Foundations system. A few discrepancies between SCP-XXXX and the files found in the Foundation have been confirmed to be SCPs that the Foundation has not yet encountered or hadn’t been fully understood upon time of the discovery of SCP-XXXX. In addition to SCPs SCP-XXXX contains files on every researcher and 05 council member that has ever worked in the Foundation, including full identities and personal information not recorded by the Foundation. Any cases of fake or misleading files have been excluded, all information inside SCP-XXXX is assumed to be 100% accurate. Only the members of the 05 Council and the Site Managers of Sites 15, 19, 64, and 88 and Dr.█████████ who first discovered the file have had access to the contents of SCP-XXXX.

CURRENT STATUS: MISSING. SCP-XXXX was discovered to be missing after an unrelated SCP caused the facility to become compromised. It is believed that another group infiltrated the facility or influenced a researcher to steal the data. Regardless of how the file was removed from its remote server no group or individual has claimed responsibility or has been shown to be using the data.

RESEARCHER NOTES: The 05 Council has begun to deny the existence of SCP-XXXX. Since I was the one to make the initial discovery I have been ordered to write up a report on SCP-XXXX and place it inside both the external server that had housed SCP-XXXX and the Foundations main system. I believe their hope is to bury the existence of this file, why they don’t seem concerned about recovering the SCP I don’t know. I only hope that they have contingency plans in place for when anything happens as a result of the files being in unknown hands. Effectively the 05 Council and the entire Foundation have been compromised.
