Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a concrete box at site-… in storage facility … and should only be pulled out for testing. The removal of SCP-XXXX for testing should be authorized by personnel of 3 clearance of higher. When transported, SCP-XXXX should be escorted by at least 3 security personnel and one 3 level clearence personnel.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a pillow measuring 51cm x 71cm (20in x 28 in). The filling of the pillow is unknown due to the fabric that it is made of. The fabric is made of fiber not known to man. Attempts have been made to discover the filling by using a thermoscope detector (TSD) and x-ray, but the fabric has proven to block any such internal imagery from being made. Attempts to cut the fabric have also been unsuccessful. The use of sharp tools, laser cutters, and fire torches have been futile in trying to cut through the fabric. However, the collection of a 1mm strand of fiber has been successful due to it already being disconnected from the original fabric. It been tested and is confirmed to be the same as the fabric it was pulled from.
When SCP-XXXX is slept on, it allows the dreamer to seemingly be a fully lucid dreamer; although the manipulation of the environment in the dream is not possible. In 100% of tests, the dreamers have had nightmares. All subjects have been killed by SCP-XXXX or were driven to insanity. Tests with Class C amnestics have been attempted to reverse the mental effects of SCP-XXXX. (See addnendum-1) The physical harm of test subjects is still a mystery. Interviews with physically hurt subjects have explained only that creatures hurting subjects in their dream hurt their real bodies. During observation of sleepers, if a subject is hurt in their dream, their body immediately reacts. Broken bones, Lacerations, and the loss of limbs have been observed as well as many other forms of brutality; although the subject does not wake up when being harmed. Interviews with test subjects after waking up have been difficult, as their extremely distressed state makes them highly uncooperative.
