Greetings and salutations! My name is Tristan MacIntyre and I am a writer and creator.
My biggest outlet for this passion is going to be Dungeons & Dragons, as a Dungeon Master. I prefer being a DM over a player, as I quite like weaving stories and seeing how my friends react to the game I create for them.
But you are here for the Scips, of course.
I don’t have much, yet, but I’m looking to change that. Feel free to have a look around.
The Mekhanites delivered their Answer, and the Kalmaktama give their Response.
Seeking Greenlights: YES
Page Type: SCP article (with accompanying tale).
Genre: Mystery, Horror.
Page Layout: Standard article with the works. SCP features multiple layers of clearance, from 1-6. To advance, readers must go through a SCiPNET login using names found in the article. Each clearance reveals a new part of the Anomaly.
Elevator Pitch: Anomaly was the contained aftermath of an event that happens thousands of years ago. The area is uncovered accidentally, and the Foundation’s attempts to study it accidentally make the situation worse. They manage to get it under control, but at a morally compromising cost.
Central Narrative: Each Clearance Level serves to help funnel information slowly to the reader, managing the narrative timeline and total information of the anomaly (which the head researcher also enjoys doing, so it fits in character).
Clearance Levels
L1 - just a weird metal tube that’s electrified, nothing super crazy here. Very redacted.
L2 - actual start for SCP personnel. Discovery, People go missing, MTF investigates a mushroom cave with weird metal tube in middle.
L3 - Test, Foundation accidentally releases what was in the metal tube. Recounts what that is and what released it.
L4 - Containment Breach/Event side a. Foundation engages what was in the metal tube as it beelines for a specific location. Recounts that engagement.
L5 - Containment Breach/Event side b. Recovery of the metal tube from the cave, then temporary neutralization of anomaly. Reveals that mushrooms control what was inside the metal tube. Anomaly is recontained.
L6 - Reveal that this a Sarkic seige engine designed in response to the Mekhanite Colossi. Cavern was designed as a nest and had a Way attached to it. Recounts the mural left in the room, as well as viable Greek Fire (that is to be used SOLELY for this anomaly.)
Tale - the head researcher and MTF captain for this anomaly meet with O5-12 and Dr. Judith Low to discuss.
Hook: I only ADDED information each time, rather than outright change or modify the anomaly for each clearance level. I wanted to subvert ideas of what was going on and leave hints and what it is without just ripping the rug out from the reader and replacing it. Mainly focusses on current events, but features glimpses to what happened long ago (especially if the reader manages to ask themself the right questions.
Additional details: I wrote this separately as a writing exercise, and wanted to see if it could stand up to the test! It’s a hefty lad (Levels 1-5 took up Sandboxes character limit).
Authors Notes: This is sort of a little love note to both SCP-610 and Sarkicism. SCP-610 brought me into the SCP Foundation during its infancy, and then as I grew older it faded to the back of my head, only popping on my radar for one of its games. During 2020 I came across SCP-2480, not realizing that SCP-610 was a possible inspiration. It dragged me back in and I love the way the stories, world, and characters are written. That’s why it was my first attempt at an article.
The story itself really is just about the dead Karcist and the abomination it created. This individual grew up on the stories of how the Kalmaktama lost the War of the Flesh, their love for Ion, and then was put on a pedestal due to their abilities. They decide to use their expertise to strike back at the fear that was ingrained into them. They conceived a child, prematurely had it, and then mutated it with carnomancy, all to stamp out the Mekhanites and then to provide a gift for when Ion returned. We learn that this this creature is intelligent, yet it follows such a strict routine. It’s treated like an animal and object instead of an actual individual. It begs one to wonder, what it was given some respect and love, how smart can it get, and what will it do when it does?
Links: Oops, it’s a hefty chonky lad, and has two whole sandbox pages to contain its girth:
Something totally original, you’ll see.
I find it is important to keep a notes on basically everything you can think of, most writers call this a “Story Bible”. It contains ALL the information that pertains to the world you are writing, even stuff you haven’t (or won’t) revealed to readers.
You’ll find some tabs here of groups, stories, or mythologies that I’ve kept track of. I consider myself a bit of an archivist, I love learning, collecting, and discussing information.
Please note, this is my personal interpretation of the information provided, though I do try my best to differentiate between what is author/consensus canon and what is hypothetical. Not every story that is involved with a particular topic is included either, as I’ve only collected information if it is very relevant to the central narrative or themes of the topic. Remember: there is no TRUE canon to the SCP Foundation.

SCP-XXXX-A is contained inside a 2 x 2 x 2 meter titanium box with 50 centimetre thick walls. The box features 3 locks, each of which corresponds to unique keys held by [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED]. Box is contained inside a hermetically sealed containment locker.
SCP-XXXX-A is a spherical glass doorknob that is 8.07 centimetres in diameter. Object is transparent and features designs similar to stars and other celestial objects inside, observers can observe freely in and through the inside of the object, but not out of it.
Object features a small cylindrical protrusion that is 2.89 centimetres in diameter Protrusion is smooth and soft to the touch and is vantablack in colouration.
SCP-XXXX-B is a pocket dimension of indeterminate size and origin. Dimension is a void except for a rectangular platform that is 46.52 meters in length, 3.78 meters in width, and 26.9 centimetres in thickness. The opposite end of the rectangular platform from the entryway is a circular one that is an estimated 30 meters in diameter. At the centre of and attached to this circular platform is a plain featureless box throne. The entirety of the background of this pocket dimension is vantablack, while the platform and throne is pristine white.
SCP-XXXX-A was discovered in a house in [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]
Owner of the house reported an object (later identified as SCP-XXXX-A) protruding from their wall. After failed attempts at removing it, twisting it caused the object to activate and open a door. Individual reported the occurrence to the local authorities, which was intercepted by embedded SCP Foundation agents.
SCP-XXXX-A:
Placing the protrusion of the object on any flat surface causes the object to stay there until the doorway it creates it is opened and closed again. Once this is done at least once, then the object can be removed by any motion that is not twisting. Destruction of the surface is also an acceptable way to remove SCP-XXXX.
Twisting the object in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction once it attaches to a surface will enable a door to be opened. Each door is unique in design and size and varies from being as standard wooden to bank vault door. It is theorized that the psychology of the individual opening the door influences its design. Once a door is opened, it will close itself automatically if left ajar for longer that 37 seconds.
Opening a doorway like this creates a thaumatigical Way between SCP-XXXX-A’s current location and SCP-XXXX-B.

Ion’s Birth
Ion is typically thought to have been born to a Daevite mother and slave father, then became a slave themself.
Ion’s Rebirth
Ion is believed to have come across Yaldabaoth, either whole or partially, and “consumed” them, physically and/or metaphysically. This allowed Ion to utilize Yaldabaoth’s control over biological flesh, though the reasoning why and the validity of these claims is debatable, as Ion was the only individual present. Whatever the case, Ion used the powers to rise from slavery and attack the Daevite empire, their former slavers.

A holy text for the Sarkic cults.
From of Lovataar and the Throne.
1And it came to pass in those days that there was peace upon the land. The host of the Ozi̮rmok had taken much of the land of the Daevites, and there were none to oppose them. 2Ion had taken for his seat the city of Adytum, and he dwelt there for a time in prosperity.
3It was then that a great sadness overwhelmed the Klavigar Lovataar, and she went to Ion and she begged him for a boon. 4"Take not thy wrath out upon thine enemies. 5Stay thy hand and dismiss thy righteous fire, for that path leads to suffering and death."
6And lo, Ion's heart was moved, for he looked upon Lovataar with great affection. He knelt before her and took her into his arms and whispered to her words of comfort. 7It was such that her heart was still, and though she wept still for the prophesy that was yet to be fulfilled, her resolve was strengthened.
8For it was in those days that she set about to craft a gift for her lord. For thirty days and thirty nights she labored in great agony, growing forth from her bosom a finely wrought seat of such exquisite beauty that all who gazed upon it, marveled.
9It was then that the Kalmaktama celebrated the feast of sukanta, as Ion had decreed would fall upon the anniversary of his liberation of the people. 10It was on the tenth and final day of that great feast did Lovataar present the fruit of her labor to Ion. She had taken the crafting of her flesh and added to it decoration of the finest lapis lazuli from the kingdom of Kemet and jade from far away Zhongguo. 11Together with Saarn, she had crafted a soft pillow to adorn its surface, so that Ion would be at ease upon it, and had crafted it from their own raven locks, so that it would continue to live with their love.
12And Ion looked upon the gift and his heart was moved again, for he knew what great cost Lovataar had borne in the crafting of such a gift. And he bade the celebrants of the great feast to be still, and he spake to them of her love. 13It was then that he decreed that the seat would travel with him, wherever he should go, to always remind him that he led only by the love of those he would lead.
