Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Relevant authorities surrounding wildlife areas and sites of archeological significance are to be monitored for mentions of any phenomena resembling SCP-XXXX. Explanations for SCP-XXXX events are to be determined by appointed operatives based on the circumstances surrounding the SCP-XXXX event. Class-A amnestics are authorized to be used on all parties involved in the containment of SCP-XXXX events. Research is currently being conducted on how to detect SCP-XXXX events as they happen.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be captured and brought to the nearest available site. SCP-XXXX events are to be monitored by the appointed operatives until all instances of SCP-XXXX-A are no longer present and the SCP-XXXX event has concluded. If instances of SCP-XXXX-A are observed to engage in behaviour that may be deemed suspicious or potentially dangerous, appointed operatives have authorization to contain or terminate SCP-XXXX-A instances immediately.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A currently in Foundation custody are to be met with the same accommodations that a non anomalous member of their species would require.1 Living accommodations of the subject may be improved upon request as a reward for cooperative behaviour. All interactions between Foundation Personnel and instances of SCP-XXXX-A must first be authorized by Dr. Greene, head of SCP-XXXX research.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a designation assigned to the repeating space-time phenomenon of trans-dimensional sapient beings appearing in areas of ecological and archeological significance around the world. These events occur sporadically and have been observed to last anywhere from a few hours to several days. 126 individual anomalies have been observed between ██/██/2012 and the time of writing this document.
SCP-XXXX-A is a designation given to the organisms that appear during SCP-XXXX events. The organisms are evolutionary relatives/derivatives of known organisms possessing human-level intelligence. SCP-XXXX-A instances have proven to be allusive and will immediately vanish when they acknowledge that they have been observed by Foundation Personnel and presumably, by any other human. This “vanishing” is near instantaneous and the devices used to accomplish this differ in make and operation between members of different SCP-XXXX-A species. Research of the phenomenon and examination of devices used by SCP-XXXX-A instances show that the devices transport matter between alternate versions of reality. These alternate versions of reality are assumed to be where instances of SCP-XXXX-A originated.2
Foundation operatives have managed to secure a total of 7 individual instances of SCP-XXXX-A captured from 3 separate SCP-XXXX space-time anomalies. Attempts of communication with instances of SCP-XXXX-A have been successful and information regarding their origin and nature of their visits have been consistent across interviews.
| Incident Description | Description of Species | Devices Present on Organism(s) |
| 1 of 4 dolphin-like creatures was captured at the mouth of the Amazon River and Atlantic Ocean. Foundation operatives were in the area pursuing unrelated marine anomalies. The subject is currently housed at Site-28’s aquatic anomaly unit. | An organism superficially resembling a river dolphin with greenish-grey/white counter-shading and binocular vision. The organism measures approximately 1.4 m in length and weighs approximately 77 Kg. The organism possesses a flexible, prehensile tongue roughly 0.65m in length which is used by the organism as a manipulator akin to a cephalopod’s tentacle. The tongue is folded in the organism’s mouth when not in use. DNA analysis shows its closest living relative to be Inia geoffrensis. | 1) A Cylindrical metal object with an electronic glass display showing symbols of unknown origin. The device was revealed through testing to be a pH reader. 2) A black, plastic half-sphere with interior metal components. The device can extract oxygen from water and convert it to a gaseous form. It was found attached to the blowhole of the organism. 3) A green plastic button attached to a metal platform secured to the organism’s abdomen by a plastic strap. Pressing the button causes any object touching the device as well as the device itself to be instantly transported to an unknown location. |
| 5 of 9 avian anomalies were seized in Yellowstone National Park after park rangers alerted local authorities of anomalous animal behaviour. The event was silenced without incident. All captured instances are currently held in Site 49’s animal anomaly centre. | 1) An organism superficially resembling a magpie in size and appearance with a coat of black feathers and a blue head crest. DNA comparison shows the organism to be a derived member of the family Corvidae. 2) 3 members of an unknown species of parrot. 2 individuals, the males, have bright orange plumage while the female is a dull greyish-brown in colour. All 3 organisms are approximately the size of a macaw and possess the ability to speak. The parrots communicate to each other in an unknown language which the other 2 SCP-XXXX-A instances they were captured with appear to be familiar with. 3) An organism roughly 1.7 m long and weighing approximately 36 Kg possessing a coat of shaggy, brown feathers. The organism resembles a highly derived Troodontid dinosaur. One of the fingers on each of its hands is positioned opposite to the other 2 like a primate’s thumb. | 1) All captured instances possessed a small metallic lever strapped to the inside of the left wing with a leather strap and metal buckle. Testing has shown the devices to be transporters like those observed on other SCP-XXXX-A instances. 2)The SCP-XXXX-A instances were recording observations of their surroundings on a single electronic device. The device is comprised of a square glass screen mounted on a metal triangle with several buttons and dials running down either side. The inner components are currently being studied, but they appear to be similar in form and function to a computer processor. The interface displays symbols of unknown origin. 3) The Corvid and Troodontid both possessed a small ceramic device with a single button that produced a clicking noise when pressed. This is believed to have been used for communication between the organisms in a method similar to Morse code. |
| Reports of a horse-sized cryptid from a South Vietnamese village were intercepted by Foundation operatives stationed in the region. The organism resisted traditional tranquilizers but was subdued with a net and brought to Site-16 via helicopter where it died for unknown reasons shortly thereafter. After a lengthy and thorough autopsy, the remains of the organism were preserved and stored in Site-16’s Bio Unit. | An organism measuring 2.8 m long and weighing 34 Kg. The organism did not resemble any organism known to exist at this or any time. It had a long, cylindrical, bilaterally symmetrical body supported by a cartilaginous skeleton with 6 trunk-like legs on either side. The legs were moved by a green liquid analogous to blood being pumped in and out of them by several heart-like organs. The organism possessed a round head with 2 forward facing eyes and a cluster of 5 simple eyes positioned at the top of the head. The organism’s mouth was attached to a long stalk extending down from the head to the ground. The mouth also contained several dozen small tentacle-like “teeth” which the organism used to interact with its environment. The digestive tract lacked distinct organs and consisted of a tube folded in on itself several times. Small fungal organisms lined the tract, presumably to aid in digestion. Respiration occurred through small pores in the skin lining the organism’s back. The brain of the organism was very sophisticated, surpassing most higher primates in structural complexity. DNA analysis confirms that the organism evolved on earth, but little else is known of its origin. | 1) A 2 mm thick, black, mat-like surface containing many small pores and tubes was found laid over the organism’s back. The technology appears to be organic in nature but is not alive. Due to its position over the breathing holes of the organism, it is believed to be a respirator of some kind.3 2) A damaged metal cube with a blue crystal half-sphere on one of its surfaces was found in the organism’s mouth. This device is believed to be a transporter when rendered operational. 3) A steel rectangular prism filled with thin sheets of gold foil and copper wire spinning around several dozen steel axles. The purpose of this device is unknown, but it is assumed to be a way of recording information. The device was found fastened to the organism’s head using an organic adhesive substance. |
All captured SCP-XXXX-A instances apart from the instance that died shortly after its capture currently remain in foundation custody. Tests show all instances to be on par with or surpassing adolescent humans in intelligence. All subjects have been extremely cooperative with Foundation Personnel and attempts to teach forms of non-verbal communication with subjects physically incapable of speech have proven successful Subjects usually acquire a comprehensive grasp of a language comprised of rhythmic clicks in a period of 6-8 months. Subjects capable of speech have displayed a remarkable aptitude for the English language, acquiring a level of proficiency one would expect from a native speaker in a period of 4 months.
Information obtained from members of different SCP-XXXX-A species and between subsequent interviews of the same individuals have been largely consistent. Due to this consistency and the fact that instances of SCP-XXXX-A have been generally cooperative with staff, the information given by SCP-XXXX-A instances is assumed to be true at this time.
According to SCP-XXXX-A instances a currently unknown number of alternate realities exist and travel between these realities is possible. Instances of SCP-XXXX-A originate from versions of reality where human-level intelligence developed in different species. There are allegedly 11 intelligent species from different realities currently known, 5 of which belong to what SCP-XXXX-A instances refer to as “a trans-dimensional federation of intelligent species”. SCP-XXXX-A instances are all self-proclaimed researchers collecting information with the goal of determining if humanity is to be included in this federation.
These are all currently known intelligent species according to SCP-XXXX-A instances.
| Species | Description of Reality | Status |
| The Troodontids | A version of reality where the K-PG mass extinction never occurred, and dinosaurs remained the dominant life forms on earth. 10 million years ago, a clade of intelligent dinosaurs descended from troodontids living across the Eurasian Steppe evolved an opposable finger allowing them to develop primitive tools. Their civilization was established approximately 500,000 years ago and their level of technology is several thousand years beyond humanity’s. The Troodontids were the first species to develop trans-dimensional travel and, by all accounts, founded the Federation. | Included in the Federation |
| The Corvids | A version of reality in which crow-like animals developed stone tools in Eastern Asia approximately 4.5 million years ago. After developing intelligence akin to Homo Erectus, the Corvids managed to migrate around the world, eventually developing agriculture in the form of controlled insect colonies. Civilization developed approximately 50,000 years ago and technology currently exists at the industrial level. | Included in the Federation |
| The Parrots | Existing in the same reality as the corvids, the parrots developed stone tools 4 million years ago in the rain forests of South America. The parrots developed civilization at around the same time as the corvids whom they encountered on the other continents. Much of the history of both cultures are filled with conflict between the 2 species but as of recently coexistence and even cooperation has taken cultural precedence. Currently, the two civilizations are one and the same. | Included in the Federation |
| The Dolphins | A series of dramatic climate events 7 million years ago transformed much of South and Central America into a series of marshes and estuaries. A species of river dolphin developed a long, prehensile tongue to forge for food in the soft river sediment. The tongue was later used to create and manipulate tools which allowed the dolphins to adopt the niche of active pack-hunters. Vast underwater colonies spanning entire rivers developed approximately 55,000 years ago and a rapid advancement of culture and technology followed. Technology continued to advance in the absence of fire and metallurgy and the dolphins developed their own methods of trans-dimensional travel before adopting the technology of other Federation members. | Included in the Federation |
| The Cambrionians | A reality in which the factors which lead to the Cambrian mass extinction never occurred. The strange and arcane body plans of the era became commonplace and evolution on Earth took a radically different turn. Eventually a clade of apex pack hunters yielded an intelligent species approximately 850,000 years ago. Civilization developed approximately 100,000 years ago but advanced slowly. The species developed a level of technology on par with modern humanity only 1,000 years ago. | Included in the Federation |
| The Cephalopods | Following the K-PG mass extinction a series of tectonic and climate events left Australia void of most animal life. A species of octopus developed a series of traits enabling it to live on land for extended periods. These traits including a quadrupedal gait4, a stiffened cirrate shell, less permeable skin, and breathing mechanisms analogous to lungs. The descendants of this species would adopt the vacant niches of the continent including that of communal hunters-gatherers. Civilization developed approximately 40,000 years ago. The species is currently technologically on par with modern humans, occupying every continent on the planet (excluding Antarctica). | Under Consideration for Inclusion |
| The Elephants | A reality in which a series of tectonic events lead to the formation of an island roughly the size of Madagascar in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean 10 million years ago. A population of elephants on the island decreased radically in size to meet the reduced availability of resources. A dwarf elephant species roughly the size of a large dog developed stone tools around 2 million years ago and civilization about 15,000 years ago. The elephants currently posses a level of technology equivalent to that of mid-bronze age humans and are yet to migrate from the island. | Under Consideration for Inclusion |
| The Suminians “Reptilian Monkeys” | A reality in which the events which lead to the P-Tr mass extinction never occurred and the dominant animal forms of the period remained dominant. A genus of arboreal Synapsids known as Suminia underwent a series of evolutionary changes paralleling that of primates.5 9.3 million years ago, climate events like the ones which triggered human evolution in Africa triggered the evolution of bipedalism in the derived Suminians. Suminian civilization developed 25,000 years ago and their current level of technology is several centuries ahead of humanity. The Suminians have only recently been accepted into the federation and the process of their inclusion is ongoing. | In the Process of Integration into the Federation |
| The Pigs | A reality in which an asteroid struck Earth 20 million years ago leading to the extinction of most large mammal lineages. One surviving lineage, a genus of small basal pigs underwent rapid adaptive radiation and filled many of the vacant niches of Eurasia and North America. One North American species specialized in storing food underground, a behaviour that when combined with the species’ relatively high intelligence lead to the invention of agriculture. Civilization gradually formed between 1.2 million and 600,000 years ago. The pigs posses technology akin to that of ancient Mesoamericans and have diversified into numerous cultures and tribal groups, many of whom are at war. The pigs have colonized most of the Western Hemisphere and are yet to leave the Americas. | Under Consideration for Inclusion |
| The Lizards | A reality in which the Indian subcontinent exists separately from mainland Asia. Due to its immense size, the entire center of the continent is a dry desert where a clade of pack-hunting monitor lizards are the dominant predators. The lizards have developed spears from sharpened sticks and have a complex social hierarchy but are yet to experience technological or cultural advancements beyond this. Fossil evidence shows that the lizard species has existed for over a million years and are yet to enter a level of technology analogous to the stone age. | Status as Intelligent Species Debated |
| The Apes | The reality in which humanity exists | Under Consideration for Inclusion |

Interview Log-XXXX-3:
The following interview occurred between Dr. Greene and the female parrot instance of SCP-XXXX-A on ██/██/2016. The interview was the 3rd of 3 conducted that week. The prior two interviews centered primarily around the nature of SCP-XXXX phenomena.
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Greene: Hello, Anne6
Anne: Hello, Doctor.
Dr. Greene: Last time we spoke, you mentioned the existence of a federation of intelligent species which evolved in other realities. I would like to ask you more about this federation.
Anne: Yes, go ahead.
Dr. Greene: What is the main function of this federation? Why would a species want to join?
Anne: Doctor, the collective species of the federation have discovered 309 alternate versions of Earth so far. 216 of these versions could theoretically support life. 84 of these versions have a thriving biosphere. 11 of these versions currently harbour intelligent life.
Dr. Greene: Yes, you’ve explained this already, it does not answer the question.
Anne: Do you know how difficult interstellar travel is, Doctor?
Dr. Greene: Not particularly.
Anne: We have found it to be very difficult.
Dr. Greene: What relevance does this have?
Anne: There are a lot of resources available to be used right here at home. A lot of additional planets to house an ever-growing population. A lot of very useful technology waiting to be shared between species. As efforts continue, more worlds will be discovered. Based on our current estimates, the number of alternate earths may number in the tens of thousands.
Dr. Greene: Not infinite?
Anne: Apparently not. Don’t ask me, I’m a linguist and a biologist, not a physicist.
Dr. Greene: Regardless, you’ve made your point. What does the federation look for when determining of new species ought to be added?
Anne: Maturity, mainly. How well the species takes care of the planet they have, whether their culture is at a point where they can accept that they aren’t the only smart ones around, things like that. Mainly though, research of the biosphere is the top priority when visiting other Earths. Oh, and doctor?
Dr. Greene: Yes?
Anne: You can stop prying. Humans are failing the examination.
Dr. Greene: [Laughs] You need not answer why, based on the reasons you’ve stated enough has been said.
Anne: No, no don’t get me wrong your species is something truly remarkable. Easily the fastest developing and most ambitious species by far. I mean, 200,000 years of existing and less than 20,000 years of what anyone could consider a civilization and you’re at this stage. Truly remarkable, anomalous even.
Dr. Greene: Yes, wel-
Anne: But the species reeks of adolescence. Profound arrogance, unapologetic boldness, unchecked ambition, and a recklessness that defies your intellect. It’s no wonder your species is the talk of the federation.
[Dr. Greene pauses for approximately 20 seconds and records a series of notes on his clipboard]
Dr. Greene: I’ve said this before, but your grasp of this language is truly remarkable. You speak more articulately than some of my colleagues.
Anne: Well, like I said, I’m a linguist by trade. Human language is so much more elegant than the language of parrots. So many words mean the same thing but have slight differences. A sentence can convey the same general message while taking on a totally new form. Poetry is somewhat of a commodity in my world, but here it is almost inevitable. Very fun to use and to learn. I am thankful.
Dr. Greene: Well, it’s quite alright I suppose. Pardon my digression, can we get back to the question?
Anne: Right. Also curious about your species is the existence of this organization. From what I gather this is designed to house that which defies reason?
Dr. Greene: Yes, I guess that’s a good way of putting it. Do other Earths not have an equivalent?
Anne: We don’t need them. If we find something we can't explain, we don’t bother hiding it. But they’re rare in other places, anomalies seem to occur in this reality more than any other. An anomalous home for some anomalous apes.
Dr. Greene: I suppose. Well, that is all for now.
Anne: Next week, doctor. Oh, and, bring some crackers for me, will you?

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently held in a modified humanoid containment chamber at Site-29. The cell has altered temperature/atmospheric conditions to accommodate the subject’s physiology, the specifications of which are outlined in Document-XXXX-11. SCP-XXXX is to be fed a concentrated mixture of amino acids, simple sugars, and ionic phosphates every 12-15 hours. The specifications for the preparation of this mixture are outlined in Document-XXXX-13.
Class-A amnestics are authorized to be used on all parties associated with the containment of SCP-XXXX-A instances. Specific methods for the containment of instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be determined on a case-by-case basis by participating operatives. Contained instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be held in Site-29 with containment conditions appropriate to their physiological needs. These conditions may be determined through research of the subject or by using information provided by the subject. Further information regarding each contained instance of SCP-XXXX-A can be found on Documents-XXXX-(37-109).
Research into the biology, behavior, and prior activities of SCP-XXXX as well as instances of SCP-XXXX-A are currently being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Verner, head of the Extraterrestrial Anomaly Division of Site-29. Any concerns or inquires regarding the research or containment of SCP-XXXX or instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be directed to Dr. Verner.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a slug-like sapient organism of extraterrestrial origin measuring 2.3 m in length and is folded backwards at the midpoint of its body to allow its anterior half to be aligned perpendicular to the ground. SCP-XXXX possesses a head with a pair of large red eyes, an elongated, tube-shaped mouthpart, and two clusters of small pores on either side designed to facilitate respiration. SCP-XXXX possesses a pair of stalk-like organs on either side of its torso, each ending in a round, sensitive organ capable of sprouting a number of flexible mycelium-like protrusions at will. The protrusions have been confirmed by SCP-XXXX to be a means of reproduction and environmental manipulation. SCP-XXXX is a dull orange in colour with dark and light countershading similar to many marine animals.
SCP-XXXX was recovered on October ██, 2014 from a small cabin in a forest near ███████, Oregon after several reports of UFO activity in the region were investigated by Foundation operatives. The incident was contained without incident and upon being confronted by operatives, SCP-XXXX surrendered willingly into Foundation custody. SCP-XXXX has been cooperative with Foundation staff since its containment and appears to answer most inquiries with sincerity.
SCP-XXXX is able to communicate using of a small electronic device embedded directly in its nervous system at the point where the structures analogous to a brain and ocular nerves meet. According to SCP-XXXX, the device is a translator capable of processing various methods of visual communication, including written words and the movement of lips, and directly implanting the abstract concepts they represent into the brain of SCP-XXXX.
This device is also capable of converting the thoughts of SCP-XXXX into audible words and/or holographic projections of written language using a speaker/holographic emitter located directly below the skin between its eyes. Using this device, SCP-XXXX can understand the top 250 most common spoken and written languages on Earth as well as several hundred forms of extraterrestrial communication. SCP-XXXX claims that due to its placement, removal of this device would instantly result in its death. Removal of this device for further study is not authorized.
SCP-XXXX is responsible for the integration of fifty to fifty-five extraterrestrial lifeforms, designated instances of SCP-XXXX-A, into Earth's societies and ecosystems between the years of 2001 and 2014, Forty-two of which been have been successfully contained. The appearances and reasons for appearing on Earth vary drastically among instances of SCP-XXXX-A. All instances of SCP-XXXX-A are sapient and have previously engaged in business transactions with SCP-XXXX. The whereabouts and activity of all contained instances of SCP-XXXX-A were provided to Foundation personnel by SCP-XXXX shortly after its initial containment.
Addenda:
Addendum-XXXX-1
The following is an incomplete list of contained instances of SCP-XXXX-A. The recovery of all subjects took place within a few months of the containment of SCP-XXXX. Many instances of SCP-XXXX-A disguised themselves using a complex organic gel accompanied by a convincing prosthetic skin-covering. The composition of the gel varies depending on the physiology of the subject and is designed to simulate the musculature of the subject’s assumed identity. The gel is able to respond to neural inputs from the subject and is controlled as if it were the subject’s own body7.
All instances of SCP-XXXX-A observed thus far possess a translation/communication device similar to the one observed in SCP-XXXX. All human identities assumed by instances of SCP-XXXX-A are of people that had not existed prior to the subject's arrival on Earth and were accomplished by the forging of relevant documents.
| Instance Number | Description | Recovery Report | Additional Information Provided by SCP-XXXX |
| SCP-XXXX-A-3 | A reptilian humanoid entity measuring 1.8 m in height. The entity could change its outward appearance to resemble any human to an indistinguishable degree. Reasons for appearing on Earth are currently under investigation. Remains of the subject are currently held in Site-29’s Bio Lab. | The subject was found to be posing as a politics professor at ███████ University for several years. It is unknown if this is the only identity the subject assumed while on Earth. Upon discovery by Foundation operatives, the subject injected itself with an unknown chemical compound that converted all its bodily tissues, excluding its skin, into a thick, green, highly basic solution resulting in death in a matter of seconds. | “I’m not entirely sure why he came to me. He was more than capable of hiding on his own and by the sounds of things, he had some pretty powerful friends.” |
| SCP-XXXX-A-11 | An organism superficially resembling a rodent with hairless white skin and measuring 0.8 m in length. The subject possesses 5 prehensile tails capable of manipulating its environment and lacks hind limbs, ears, and nostrils. The subject was apparently on Earth to hide from an extraterrestrial crime organization that it was formerly affiliated with. | The subject adopted the false identity of Ricky “Bambino” Buccelli and engaged in organized criminal activity in Chicago for a period of several years. The subject was contained without incident. On several occasions since its initial containment the subject has offered to exchange information about its former crime affiliates, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial, in exchange for freedom or special containment privileges. | “Once a rat, always a rat.” |
| SCP-XXXX-A-14 | A silicon-based organism measuring 0.27 m in length resembling a translucent, grey cephalopod with 4 limbs and a cartilaginous endoskeleton. The subject was required to regularly consume sand to facilitate its bodily needs. According to the subject, it is a refugee of a massive interstellar war surrounding the Kepler-22 star system. | The subject used a highly specialized gel capable of supporting its metabolism and maintaining a convincing disguise as a common house cat8. The subject posed as a family pet in a Toronto apartment for several years before being recovered by Foundation operatives while attempting to feed stray cats outside its apartment complex at night. | “All the essentials come free and all you have to do is sit by the window when it’s sunny. Honestly, sounds like a pretty good gig… except for having to eat the litter.” |
| SCP-XXXX-A-23 | A complex network of extraterrestrial algae forming structures analogous to neurons and synapses. The resulting entity is a sapient photosynthetic mat at the water’s surface capable of splitting into separate intelligences and regrouping multiple of these intelligences into a single entity. One isolated intelligence occupied a gel-based disguise of a 60-65-year-old Caucasian male. The totality of the subject is currently held in 27 large containment vats in the ecological anomaly section of Site-29. | The disguised portion of the subject was found to live in a small house at the edge of a swamp in the Florida Keys. Locals knew the individual as a reclusive eccentric known as “Bayou Bill”9. All information surrounding Bayou Bill was successfully removed from the surrounding area. Most of the subject was growing in a 3.4 km radius surrounding the house, causing major disturbances in the local ecosystem. The total recovery of the subject took 24 days due to its sprawling, decentralized nature. Despite claiming that its purpose on the planet was to research aquatic lifeforms, it is now believed that the subject was taking advantage of the environmental conditions of the swamp for growth and reproduction, the end goal of which remains uncertain. | “What, you think it was plotting a takeover? I doubt it… Come on now. How was I supposed to know anyway? He could fit in a glass of water when I met him. Besides, if your planet’s weak enough to be conquered by seagrass, maybe that’s just natural selection.” |
| SCP-XXXX-A-29 | A 1.3 m long superficially mammalian creature resembling a snake with shaggy brown fur and 2 sets of thermosensitive organs directly below its eyes. The subject’s tail diverged into 7 points which acted as environmental manipulators. The subject also has a litter of 57 purely aquatic offspring that each measure 7-10 cm in diameter and resemble sea urchins with soft, flexible hairs rather than spines. The subject reportedly sought to escape overpopulation regulations on its home planet that would require it to terminate 42 of its offspring. | The subject was disguised as a 34-year-old female botanist living in a small town along the Mexico/US border. The subject kept its offspring in pet aquariums in the back of their flower shop. Upon initial containment, the subject was extremely hostile but became cooperative after accommodations were made to allow the subject and offspring to be contained together. | “Oh yeah, I remember her… gave her a discount, I think. Never let it be said that I don’t have a heart.10” |
| SCP-XXXX-A-32 | A 1.5 m tall vaguely humanoid organism with several avian features including a toothed beak, a blue downy feather-like skin covering designed for thermoregulation, and talon-like hands and feet. According to the subject and SCP-XXXX, the species to which the subject belongs has an average lifespan of 16 years. The subject cited tourism as its reason for appearing on Earth. The remains of the subject are preserved and held in Site-29’s Bio Lab. | The subject spent the last 2 years of its life posing as a wealthy 70-75-year-old Turkish man. Using this disguise, the subject visited numerous sights of natural and historical significance on every continent11. The subject entered willingly into Foundation custody after being seized by operatives at Machu Picchu, claiming that it had "seen enough". The subject died 3 weeks after initial containment. | “The man lead a military coup, became the leader of his planet, reared 4 children, cured an infectious skin-disease in his spare time, faked his death, emigrated on a whim to an underdeveloped planet he heard rumors of in a bar one day, and experienced everything your planet had to offer all within the span of a decade. We have a saying about the birds where I come from… they’re insane.” |
| SCP-XXXX-A-37 | A 2.4 m tall, slender humanoid entity with thin, transparent skin. The entity lacks muscle fibers and moves by controlling the movement of pressurized gas through specialized organs in its limbs. The subject was native to a low-gravity planet and came to Earth to study the relationship between trees and fungi in the forests of North America. | The subject was outfitted with a gel-based disguise and a device which could manipulate gravity in a 10 cm radius around its body. The disguise was made to resemble the North American cryptid Sasquatch. The subject was found in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta and was apprehended without incident. | “She was too tall for a human gel and she wanted to live in the woods for the rest of her life. Not bad, eh? Well, I thought it was pretty clever.” |
Research into the location, nature, and capabilities of the civilizations that instances of SCP-XXXX-A originate from is ongoing. Interviews with SCP-XXXX and instances of SCP-XXXX-A have thus far proven useful in obtaining information, however, more direct methods of observation are currently in development.
Interview Log-XXXX-3
Preface: The following interview took place on November ██, 2014. In the prior two interviews SCP-XXXX revealed the location and identities of 42 instances of SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX claimed that the total number of SCP-XXXX-A instances on Earth was between 50 and 55 and that it had forgotten the location and identities of the remaining instances. The purpose of this interview was to obtain more information regarding the circumstances surrounding the presence of SCP-XXXX on Earth.
[BEGIN LOG]Dr. Verner: Hello XXXX, I have a few questions regarding your involvement in the presence of extraterrestrial organisms on Earth. Is that alright?
SCP-XXXX: Yeah, I’m sure I can make time for it.
Dr. Verner: Excellent, how did you arrive on Earth initially?
SCP-XXXX: Well, Earth belongs to a collection of planets that, for one reason or another, are forbidden by interstellar law to contact. In your case, it appears to be a “non-interference” type deal. Honestly, it’s not like anyone is missing out on anything, I don’t find this place nearly as interesting or endearing as some of my customers do. Either way, a good place to hide and as I came to discover, make a profit while I’m at it.
Dr. Verner: Hide? Hide from what?
SCP-XXXX: More appropriate to ask from who, and even more appropriate to ask who I’m not hiding from.
Dr. Verner: Are you a fugitive?
SCP-XXXX: You make it sound like I'm dangerous! I pulled one too many fast-ones and before I knew it, 8 of the 15 largest government powers in the galaxy were onto me, many of which, I might add, think execution is an appropriate punishment for stealing a Jerrkokan loaf12, much less… let's call them dishonest business dealings.
Dr. Verner: Earlier you referred to the extraterrestrials you assisted as customers. What sort of payment did they provide you for your services?
SCP-XXXX: Well, first off, their ship. They’d give up their ship and everything on it along with a package of additional goods depending on where the customer came from, I’d do my research ahead of time.
Dr. Verner: What were some of these goods?
SCP-XXXX: Stuff that’s universally valuable, you know. Precious metals, black market organic materials, illegal technology, stuff like that. That way I could trade them in for whatever currency made the most sense when I got back to the grift.
Dr. Verner: So, once they made their deal with you, they had no way of getting off world?
SCP-XXXX: Ah, that was the beauty of it. If you’re desperate enough to relocate for the rest of your life, then you’re probably also willing to shell out an arm, leg, or equivalent appendage. Plus, you couldn’t go and tell your friends about your vacation on Earth after you left. Last thing we wanted was to attract unwanted attention. “Once you’re in, you’re in.” That was rule number one.
Dr. Verner: What were the other rules?
SCP-XXXX: Common sense stuff, you know. No transmissions off world, avoid doctors, cops, or anyone wearing a tinfoil hat, you get it. In exchange, they knew I would keep quiet and they could safely do… whatever they came here to do without being harassed.
Dr. Verner: So, why did you decide to give up information about your customers to us? They provided you things of immense value for your secrecy.
SCP-XXXX: Well, I can’t trade in any of those things for money now, and even if I could, what good would it do me in here? No, they can live like me now. What’s the saying? Our goose is cooked! They knew the risks when they broke interstellar law. Although, I’m sure if they knew this was a concealer world they might have thought twice.
Dr. Verner: A concealer world?
SCP-XXXX: Yeah, you know. A world with a big shadowy organization that hunts down things that don’t make total sense. The Tribunal of the Charmock, The Ble’nesh Authority, The Octagon Order13, there’s at least half a dozen others. You guys are unique, though.
Dr. Verner: In what ways?
SCP-XXXX: Well, you make some of the other guys look sloppy. I lived here for 13 years and I never once suspected that there was such an organization on this planet. Well done, I’m usually pretty good at spotting these sorts of things. Most of them also prefer to terminate dangerous things rather than put them in a box. I was lucky you had the philosophy you did, otherwise it would have been no different than being executed for one of my harmless schemes… well, mostly harmless.
Dr. Verner: Any additional information you can provide about these organizations? It would be nice to know what our counterparts are up to.
SCP-XXXX: One thing all you guys have in common is that once you have someone in your sights, they’re as good as yours. That’s why I surrendered so easily when I saw you guys showing up to my cabin. I wonder if Keswick knew about you guys. Oh, that would make it even more infuriating!
Dr. Verner: Well, I think that will do for today. We’ll have to get you to expand on some of the points you’ve laid out here today at a later date.
SCP-XXXX: Yeah, yeah, sure. I got nothing better to do.

Final Notes: "This is the third time SCP-XXXX brought up a person named Keswick. From what I could gather, Keswick is a person that assisted SCP-XXXX in smuggling aliens onto Earth. I'll see what sort of intel we can gather on our own before questioning XXXX. If the two are still working together, the information provided by XXXX may be falsified."

Interview Log-XXXX-4
Preface: The following interview was conducted on November ██, 2014. In prior interviews, SCP-XXXX had briefly alluded to the existence of an apparently non-anomalous human collaborator in his mid-late 30's known as Keswick. Subsequent interviews with instances of SCP-XXXX-A have shown that subjects are unaware of the specific events/entities involved in their integration and have only a vague recollection of the identity of Keswick and SCP-XXXX. Additional investigations were unsuccessful in uncovering additional information on Keswick. The purpose of this interview was to obtain more information on Keswick and his involvement in the presence of extraterrestrials on Earth.
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Verner: Hello XXXX, are you ready for another interview?
SCP-XXXX: If I were a little duller, I would try and get you to call me by my real name but knowing this place, it seems unlikely. So, I don't think I'm even gonna tell you. I know your name but you don't know mine, it shifts the power balance a little more in my favor, don't you think?
Dr. Verner: Sure. May we start the interview now?
SCP-XXXX: Alright Vern… V-E-R-N Vern, V-E-R-N. You like that? It’s Rain Man.
Dr. Verner: Yes, I know, very charming. When did you see Rain Man?
SCP-XXXX: Keswick would bring me movies, books, basically whatever media I wanted between customers to keep me busy. A lot of Earth entertainment is pretty weak, but it can be very addictive.
Dr. Verner: I suppose that explains how your speech is so colloquial, even “speaking” through a translator.
SCP-XXXX: Ah, well it's not enough to simply speak a language… when you interact with customers from a whole different world it pays to give off a certain familiarity. My charm is a well known universal constant, Vern.
Dr. Verner: Very nice, but if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you more about this Keswick individual you've mentioned in previous interviews.
SCP-XXXX: Ooh, I've been waiting for this one, Alright, let’s get into it.
Dr. Verner: What, precisely, was your role when in the integration of extraterrestrials on Earth?
SCP-XXXX: Well, I was responsible for receiving transmissions from customers, making the gel disguises, setting up the customers with the machines they need, educating the customer on Earth’s customs, and of course, handling the bonified treasury we’d acquired. Everything else fell on that Sor’guk14, Keswick.
Dr. Verner: Can you tell me more about Keswick’s role?
SCP-XXXX: He was responsible for finding accommodations, giving the customer enough to live on initially, forging documents, transporting the customer where they needed to go, stuff like that. He’d always alter with the memories of the customer in such a way that they had only a vague idea of who we were, it was safer that way. The customers always had no recollection of precisely how they’d got to where they were or who else was involved.
Dr. Verner: So, it’s possible others were involved?
SCP-XXXX: I don’t see how it could have been possible any other way, but the specifics were always a mystery. He’d always get anxious and irritable when I asked about his methods, I quickly learned to stop questioning him. He was a good partner, did his part for next to nothing. In fact, he would lose money on every operation, and his payment was… strange.
Dr. Verner: Can you elaborate, please?
SCP-XXXX: Well, he would just ask to take bits of technology and bio samples from the stash for a month or two and then return them in perfect condition. He’d also spend a strange amount of time with some of the customers before relocating them. Where they were or what they did during that time is anyone’s guess, not even they remember. That was my first clue that something was up with him… I always knew he was suspicious, but I could never resist having a partner that worked essentially for free.
Dr. Verner: How did you come to be associated with Keswick to begin with?
SCP-XXXX: He found me, believe it or not. He claimed to be the owner of the cabin I was squatting in, but I knew that was a lie because the place looked like it had been empty for at least a decade. He was quiet and imposing, I thought he was about to kill me or turn me in, but instead he seemed to have some vague idea of who I was. He told me about a con where he would handle all the heavy lifting and I could be rich when the manhunt on me was over. Of course, I quite literally couldn’t refuse.
Dr. Verner: So the scheme was his idea?
SCP-XXXX: As much as I want to take credit, I can't.
Dr. Verner: Could you provide any information about Keswick that you learned over your time working together? Anything that would help us locate him?
SCP-XXXX: Believe me, there’s nothing I want to do more than bring this guy in, but he was so secretive… I’m pretty sure Keswick wasn’t even his real name. Other than the occasional VHS or comic book drop off we pretty much never interacted outside of business.
Dr. Verner: When was the last time you heard from Keswick prior to containment?
SCP-XXXX: About a week before, but I know he was responsible for me being here.
Dr. Verner: Could you elaborate?
SCP-XXXX: You see, my species endures a molting period for a matter of days every few years in which we are unresponsive to the world outside our molting pods. When I exited my molting state, I checked the hiding spots with all the payments only to find they were empty. All my other belongings, including the ships, were gone and there was residue on the ground indicating that several ships had taken off. Then your boys in black came knocking within the hour and I knew it was over.
Dr. Verner: Very interesting, thank you XXXX. I think we have everything we need for today.
SCP-XXXX: No problem. You can repay me by bringing in that Par’mot15, Keswick. I'm sorry, please don't take offence, Vern. I swear, I become my father when I'm mad.
[END LOG]
Final Notes: "Assuming all this is reliable, we're left with more questions than answers. Was anyone else involved? If so, who and for what reason? What did they need all this alien technology for? Regardless of the answers, finding this Keswick individual should be a top priority."
-Dr. Verner
Following this interview, Keswick was designated POI 17,235. Attempts to determine his whereabouts, current activities, and potential collaborators are ongoing.
