SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a 30.48 by 30.48m cell. The cell should include grass, bushes, dog toys, and obstacles to keep the subject happy and less aggressive towards humans. SCP-XXXX must have at least one (1) hour of playtime with foundation personnel to stay friendly. All personnel should put on hazmat suits before entering SCP-XXXX’s containment cell. Once inside personnel should put a muzzle over the snout of SCP-XXXX before taking off the protective gear. In the case that the muzzle cannot be placed onto the subject’s snout, all personnel must either keep on their protective gear or leave the containment cell.
Description: SCP-XXXX was originally found in [REDACTED], PA inside the home of [DATA EXPUNGED] after multiple reports of the home owner looking extremely ill and acting strange. SCP-XXXX is a male Canis familiaris (commonly referred to as a domestic dog), testing suggests that it is an Australian Shepard. SCP-XXXX seems to be anywhere between one (1) to two (2) years old. The subject weighs 14.515 kg and is 1.067m long. Any contact with the subject’s mouth, such as licking and biting, can cause sickness, change in behavior, or death. All dog toys, bowls, and protective gear should be decontaminated on a daily basis to prevent any bodily harm to personnel.
Any personnel that has come in contact with SCP-XXXX’s mouth, now referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, must notify personnel immediately and be taken to be decontaminated and secluded from any foundation personnel. The subject has been seen to undergo extreme pain during its time in seclusion and severe change in regular behavior. Around this time most subjects start to lose skin pigmentation, eye pigmentation, and all hair. Most instances of SCP-XXXX-1 appear lifeless and zombie-like. By now, the subject will usually show signs of extreme strength, aggression, and sometimes high intelligence. Any instance of SCP-XXXX-1 that shows high intelligence as well as extreme strength and aggression is to be terminated to prevent a highly possible containment breach.
After further testing, the saliva from SCP-XXXX seems to only effect humans and other canines. After using multiple canine test subjects, it has been determined that SCP-XXXX is extremely hostile towards all species of canine and dog owners. Canine test subjects should only be allowed into the containment cell while under heavy watch by three (3) or more personnel. If SCP-XXXX shows any signs of aggression towards the test subject, all present personnel must quickly escort the canine test subject outside of the containment cell.
If SCP-XXXX manages to bite a canine test subject, the subject must be quickly treated for the bite wound before symptoms start appearing. If personnel fail to treat the bite wound before symptoms pop up the subject, now known as SCP-XXXX-2, must be put into its own containment cell. Overtime, SCP-XXXX-2 will start to lose it’s fur and it’s eye pigmentation. SCP-XXXX-2 should be closely studied at all times. SCP-XXXX-2 will always be facing in the direction of SCP-XXXX while in their cells. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 have been seen to bark, scratch, bite, and run at the wall in between it and SCP-XXXX.
All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 die within approximately 2-3 months of the initial bite if untreated. During this time period it will not only show the previous noted symptoms but it will start to grow larger, smarter, and stronger than before. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 manages to breach containment during this time period it should be shot and killed on sight rather than recontained.
One thing that is similar between the treated and untreated canines is that their saliva will be extremely toxic towards humans and will kill within twenty four (24) hours of contact. Most people that have made contact with the saliva show extreme pain and sickness for their last hours. All treated canine, now considered SCP-XXXX-3, should be treated in the same manor as SCP-XXXX.
Samples of SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-3’s saliva should be tested to see what causes these symptoms in humans and canines. Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to enter SCP-XXXX-2’s containment cell to sample it’s saliva. All previous personnel who tried were [REDACTED] by the subject. All samples of the saliva should be handled with extreme care. If a sample is spilled the entire room should be decontaminated to prevent any bodily harm to foundation personnel.
