Dino Friend Wants to Play Video Games: http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-14012642/dino-friend-wants-to-play-video-games
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be housed at Site-11 within a modified humanoid containment cell providing basic bedroom furnish and Site approved recreational objects. SCP-XXXX is to be provided weekly therapy sessions and daily on-site personnel interaction such as ‘playing’ with on-site researchers. Personnel entering SCP-XXXX’s containment cell are to leave Secure Access ID Cards outside of the cell to ensure that secure containment is maintained.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an animate and sentient dinosaur amiibo possessing the ability to transform its enclosed surroundings into an augmented reality video game simulation with SCP-XXXX acting as administrator. A simulation will persist for approximately three hours before ending; after a simulation has ended, the affected area and subjects return to normal, and SCP-XXXX will enter a resting state. SCP-XXXX is cordial and playful towards personnel, and it will display signs of loneliness when left isolated.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered from an event following a 911 emergency call. The senior woman in the call vocalized severe symptoms of paralysis, and first responders were dispatched into the area. First responders who arrived were hesitant to enter the premises due to SCP-XXXX's ability currently active. Once entered, first responders found the woman passed out on the floor with SCP-XXXX nudging against her. Later reports confirmed that the woman suffered from a stroke and had died. Law enforcement notified the Foundation of the incident, and SCP-XXXX, willingly, was taken into Foundation custody.
Addendum-XXXX: the following document contains the context of the letter obtained by Foundation agents.

Dear Duri,
Remember your big brother??? You know, the big friendly dinosaur man who likes to steal all your snacks? Yup, that's me! I can't help but remember that one time when we were younger. You wanted a pet dinosaur, but mom brought home a pet hamster instead. You were so upset at mommy because you wanted a pet dinosaur more than anything, so I volunteered to be the pet dinosaur of the house! Just for you! I remember pretending to be a dinosaur and giving you rides on my back so that we could chase mom around for revenge. How dare she bring home a hamster instead of a dinosaur!
But of course, I know she did her best to support both of us. Dad was always away on business trips, and eventually, she got busy too. After that, it was just the two of us. Remember when we would play video games all day together and sneak out to buy snacks and bubble tea? Man. Pizza, bubble tea, and snacks every day with my little sis were the best. You really loved those drinks, didn't you? Goodness, I really miss those old times.
Hey, guess what? I sent you a gift that I know you'll love. I hope it was safely shipped to you. It's in the package containing a small black bag. Did you open it yet? Tada! It's your very own pet dinosaur; what you've always wanted! He's a cute little fella ain't he? He's a little baby dinosaur amiibo who loves to play video games with people and will revive you whenever you're down! Be sure to give him lots of attention or he'll get super lonely. Try to keep him out of mom and dad's eye too. You'll see what I mean. I know he'll absolutely take good care of you in my absence.
It's only been a few months, but being away from you has made me realize how much you're probably suffering. You're home alone, aren't you? You've probably been lonely ever since I left to serve in South Korea, and mom and dad are rarely around anymore because of how busy they've become. I also know how much you struggle to make friends at school. I wish I was there to protect you. As much as I love visiting my home country, I love you even more. I promise that once I've finished serving my two years here in South Korea, we'll play video games together again. And I look forward to spending more time with you, so you better get ready to defend your snacks!
Love,
Your big brother, Kyung-Soon
Upon further investigation of the older brother, documented reports indicated that the older brother was KIA while serving in South Korea.
Dear Commander,
I learned how to smile again.
There were times where I felt like happiness wasn’t worth it, and I wanted to give up on my ability to process emotions again. However, I’m still planning on going through with rediscovering my feelings one step at a time and trying to understand them. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t give up yet. Despite going through a lot of hardships in the past year, I can confidently say that I am a much happier person now than I was before.
Being a part of the SCP Wiki community has helped me get through a lot.
I recently started talking more often with Quadraginta. He’s such a sweet and endearing individual, and I’m so grateful you and the other staff members gave me the opportunity to work with him during the mentorship Flight last September. Quad and I have been having heart-to-heart conversations lately, and I’ve been able to open up to him about a lot of the things that have been going on in my life. He even shared some interesting stuff about himself, too. He’s so cool, and I hope I get to talk with him again when I have the time. >w<)
Getting to know one of my officers made me realize that I don’t really know much about you.
I hope I also get to know you a bit more sometime. I personally feel like we don’t have a lot in common, but I honestly don’t mind. You’re still my mentor, after all, and one of the most important people in my life. I don’t know if I would’ve been able to emotionally heal if it weren’t for the kindness you, the site members, and the staff have given me—you especially. You were always willing to make time for me when I needed someone to talk to, even when I’m a blob of an emotional mess. I know you don’t see yourself as an ideal father figure, but you being there for me is more than I could ever ask for… you being there gives me a sense of security.
I really miss you.
You’ve been working a lot, haven’t you? You must be so tired from working two jobs and working on preparations to move. I hope you are getting enough rest. You work hard, and I admire that about you. Honestly, you're an amazing person. Knowing that you’re living your life to the fullest makes me want to live and be more like you someday. Thank you. Thank you for being a part of my life, and thank you for being one of the reasons I can smile again.
Happy Father’s Day.
Kind regards,
Truc Linh
P.S. If I ever get a chance to meet you in person someday, I’m going to make you the most amazing and best-est present of your life and that’s not an exaggeration. I’m not telling you what it is, though, because it’s a surprise. Hehe! ^_^)

Dino Friend Wants to Play Video Games: http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-14002397/dino-friend-wants-to-play-video-games#post-4896370
Seeking Greenlights: Yes pwease.
Page Type: SCP Article
Genre (Optional): Emotional
Elevator Pitch: An animate and sentient dinosaur amiibo with the ability to transform enclosed surroundings into an augmented reality game simulation based on its said surroundings for up to approximately three hours with the SCP acting as administrator. After the SCP becomes exhausted, it ends the simulation for sleeeeeep, and the affected area and players go back to normal. The amiibo itself is benevolent and playful, and it will attempt to play with subjects within its created simulation whenever active.
Central Narrative: It was discovered from a 911 emergency call to where an elderly woman expressed severe symptoms. First responders who arrived were hesitant when entering the premise due to the SCP’s ability currently active. Once entered they found the elderly lady passed out on the floor with SCP-XXXX nudging against her. It was later confirmed that the elderly lady suffered from a stroke and died. The Foundation was then notified of the incident and then thoroughly searched the home for an investigation to where they found a really old letter from years ago. The letter was from her older brother, and the context highlights the lady and her brother’s relationship when they were younger: both having parents who’ve not had the time for them, and being video game buds until the brother had to serve his two years in South Korea. The brother promises they will play video games together again very soon and sends the SCP as a gift so that she won’t be lonely in his absence. The letter will also include information on the SCP for the sister. Upon further investigation of her older brother, it was later confirmed that he was KIA while serving in South Korea.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: Dino friend saw human friend not okay. Dino friend tries to revive human through game. Dino friend realized it couldn’t. You can revive in a video game, but you can’t in life.
Additional Notes: That’s all folks! Criticism would be much appreciated. :3
Joke SCPs
Space Platypi.
They come by meteor shower.
Seeking Greenlights: Yes please.
Page Type: SCP Article, possible -J Elevator Pitch: Platypi randomly floating in space one day fell down to earth as a meteor shower.
Central Narrative: Satellites show a stream of platypi coming from a far planet that is seemingly over populated. Upon close inspection, the platypi seem to fling each other out into space. Biological testing shows that the species are indeed, platypi. Species however, display slight differences and show to be extremely durable. Life span is undetermined.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: Theories range from whether they are looking for a new home or scheming colonization/world domination.

Forum critique should be relatively in-depth.
Try to make sure you give enough criticism that an author can tell the quality of their entire concept/draft. Good critique suggests what the author did wrong and how to improve, or what they've done right that they should continue doing.[Insert crit]

Try to make sure you give enough criticism that an author can tell the quality of their entire concept/draft. Good critique suggests what the author did wrong and how to improve, or what they've done right that they should continue doing. [Insert crit]

Truc Linh, per the forum guidelines:
Do not create a new thread for a concept already on the forum, unless the current thread has not been posted on in 14 days or longer.
This is to help prevent flooding of the forums, and because it would make it less difficult for you and reviewers to keep track of posted content if it were all in one thread.
If you need to modify your concept, please use the edit function rather than reposting, and instead of waiting and opting for a repost due to the thread getting buried, authors are encouraged to reach out to reviewers. Please consider referring to this thread for guidance on how to contact them: http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-13282692/how-to-get-more-reviews

Truc Linh, per the forum guidelines:
Do not use one thread to seek feedback on multiple ideas.
It would be less difficult for you and reviewers to keep track of posted content and to avoid confusion if your one thread was focused on one idea rather than multiple.
If you have another idea you would like to work with, please make a separate thread for it (but please do be mindful that each author is limited to posting two new concept threads per every 7 days).
Once you have reviewed the guidelines, please edit your post rather than creating a new thread, and if you are having trouble editing, click the "edit" function under the "options" tab to the lower right of your post. Please feel free to then reach out to a reviewer for your concept: http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-13282692/how-to-get-more-reviews

Commandership Stuff
Before the Start of the Flight
Hello [[*user ]]!
I'd be happy to welcome you into the [insert team name] for Flight X! [Insert something something something something].
I'll be sure to send you a follow up PM a couple days prior. If you have any questions, or suddenly cannot partake in the Flight, shoot me a PM! ^_^)
[Insert team name and super cool motto].
Hello!
This is a follow-up message regarding Flight X. I plan to organize some things ahead of time, so if I forget anything, I'll still have time to finalize everything before the Flight begins. These are just some questions to help me get to know you a bit better and decide on what goals to assign:
1) What pieces do you like to read? (It can be anything from fantasy, horror, a specific article, etc. It doesn't have to be SCP-related.)
2) What do you personally feel like you need to work on more? (Can be dialogue, clinical tone, etc.)
3) Are you interested in taking on a staff position somewhere in the future? Although the Flight may not guarantee that you will, there's always a possibility you may be a future candidate.
4) What are you hoping to gain from the Flight? (Can be stuff like confidence, skills, advice, etc.)
5) Do you have a Discord, and would you be willing to share your tag? I plan to have both officers on Discord for communication. If not, or you are not comfortable with sharing, I'll try to arrange a different communication method.
6) Do you have any specific questions about the Flight? I'll do my best to answer them.
Thank you again for your interest! If something comes up, and you are unable to partake in the Flight, please let me know! You are not obligated to partake if you so wish not to. Remember, IRL is important!

Oki doki! So we are one day away from formally starting Flight X. A couple things I firstly want to set in place: I want everyone to treat this chat as an extension of the site. Meaning I expect everyone, our conversations, and our interactions to abide to the Site Rules. Why? Because habits tend to stick, and better to stick the good ones than the bad.
I'm no chat op, and I'm usually too nice, so neither of you will have to worry about me going all staffy staffy on y'all 'cause I won't. I do however, want everyone to look out for each other, as this is a learning experience. If anyone here feels like someone else is being disruptive or going against the rules, please politely let them know so they can better improve themselves. I trust that you both can handle yourselves, but if needed, I will intervene.
That said, you guys are free to introduce yourselves and get to know each other! I hope that we all will get along and have a fun experience while participating within this program. As always, if any of you have questions, let me know. I'll be sending over your goals later today for you both to look over.
Also, quick note: I am TERRIBLE at real time chat conversations, so please be patient with me. TwT)
During the Flight
Happy first day of Flight X, and best of luck to all participants!
These should apply to most minor offenses in Ideas Critique.
Absence of Template
Hi author! We have a standardized format for concepts that we would like you to use. You can find the template here: http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-13095662/required-reading:how-to-use-this-forum-ideas
Please review the guidelines and edit your post to the correct format. If you are having trouble editing, click the "edit" function under the "options" tab to the lower right of your post.

Over the Word Limit
Hi there author! It looks like the last 4 sections of your post is about XXXX words over the limit. Please edit and trim your post down to 400 words (or less) at maximum.

Since tomorrow is the middle of the Flight, it will be both a check in day, and a break day to pick out and decide which article to feature. Meaning, neither of you need to meet your goals on that day. I will be checking in to see if what I have provided has been helpful, to see if the goals should be kept or changed, and to discuss the article feature. Sound good?
After the Flight
Noting that mainsite features are up. Thank you again for participating in the [insert month and year] Mentorship Flight!
