Item #: SCP-3211

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3211 is to be kept in a steel containment chamber with a single access gate in the underground portion of Site-██, the walls of which should be sufficiently armored to withstand significant blows and intense heat. A single plexiglass porthole and sound-powered telephone may be mounted on the western wall of the containment chamber to allow for communication with SCP-3211 (See Addendum 3211-A). The access gate of the containment chamber will be operated by two manual hand cranks, with no electrical equipment present in the gate or any part of the containment chamber. No mechanical devices capable of receiving a signal or transmission of any nature may be brought within 1500m of SCP-3211 at any time without express, written permission from at least two level 4 personnel. Any staff member wishing to speak to or meet with SCP-3211 must obtain express permission from Head Researcher ██████████ or Dr. Green.

Description: SCP-3211 is a quadrupedal mechanical entity approximately 3.5m high. The "body" section of SCP-3211 is approximately 3m long and includes a cone-shaped head and a 2m long tail with a pointed blade at the end. SCP-3211 is constructed from an unknown metallic substance, which has proved highly resilient to conventional weaponry, with only high-caliber or explosive weapons being able to physically damage it. If damaged, SCP-3211 will repair itself over time, although it must be immobile to do this. All attempts to cut into the body of SCP-3211 have failed. SCP-3211 is mostly black in color, although it will change its appearance slightly when placed in a new environment. SCP-3211 is capable of producing light through several slits on its body, or through the eyes on its head. SCP-3211 has also been observed to completely conceal itself from detection (see incident report 3211-1).

SCP-3211 is capable of taking complete control of any mechanical device capable of receiving signals within 1500m. Any device under the control of SCP-3211 may only perform functions it is physically capable of, although the performance of certain actions may be "improved," such as an SCP-3211 controlled motor vehicle operating at faster than normal speeds. SCP-3211 may also take control of any device with electrical circuitry by inserting its tail directly into the device. SCP-3211 will immediately lose control if direct contact with the tail is broken and the device is not capable of receiving any signals. SCP-3211 has demonstrated high levels of physical strength, including penetrating the ██m thick armor of a main-gate security door with a single blow from one of its legs.

SCP-3211 has shown a high level of intelligence as well as computing power, and is able to produce human speech through an unknown means. When asked to demonstrate the extent of its computational ability, SCP-3211 was able to produce a visual simulation of the Milky Way galaxy in three seconds. When interviewed, SCP-3211 has expressed great desire to escape containment so that it may "complete its mission," but has otherwise expressed no aggressive tendencies to the Foundation or humanity in general (See Interview Log). All questioning about the nature of SCP-3211's mission or origin has met with failure.

Incident Report 3221-1: SCP-3211 breached containment on 03/11/20██ along with several other Keter and Euclid level SCPs housed at Site-██. It is unknown whether SCP-3211 somehow worked directly with the other SCPs or whether it simple knew of the breach and took advantage of the situation.

SCP-3211 breached containment by launching its body at the plexiglass porthole, destroying the window and some parts of the wall while displaying no obvious signs of damage to itself. MTF unit Beta-3 "Thunderbirds" was able to respond to the containment breach within ██ minutes and directly engaged SCP-3211. Below is an interview between Head Researcher ███████████ and Captain Brunin, Beta-3 commander.

Interview Log 3211-1B

Interviewed: Captain Brunin

Interviewer: Head Researcher ███████████

Foreword: Head Researcher ███████████ and Captain Brunin are seated in a temporary staging area outside Site-██.

<Begin Log, 0830, 03/13/20██>

Head Researcher ███████████: "Explain in your own words what happened when you encountered SCP-3211."

Captain Brunin: "We found its containment chamber before we actually encountered it; damn thing broke right through the window, tore up the wall around it too. That pane was rated to withstand .50 caliber ammunition and it smashed it like it was nothing!"

Head Researcher ███████████: "I am aware of the damage done to the observation room. Please describe your encounter with SCP-3211."

Captain Brunin: "Right, sure. We found it completely by chance. My team and I were clearing the large hallway that connects light containment to the main atrium and we saw it at gate control."

Head Researcher ███████████: "What was it doing?"

Captain Brunin: "Just… staring. It was just looking at the gate. I tried to call in its location, but my damn radio wouldn't function."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Did 3211 appear to notice your presence?"

Captain Brunin: "Yeah, it turned its head to look at us."

Head Researcher ███████████: "And?"

Captain Brunin: "I ordered it to return to its containment chamber or we would terminate it."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Did you expect it to comply? Why did you not engage immediately?"

Captain Brunin: "Engage immediately? Is that protocol for 3211?"

Head Researcher ███████████: "Were you not briefed on SCP-3211?"

Captain Brunin: "No we weren't fucking briefed! Unless you count "briefed" as being told: "yeah he can control machines with his mind and he's armored." We had no idea what it was fucking capable of."

Head Researcher ███████████: "But you did fire on SCP-3211, did you not?"

Captain Brunin: "Yeah. I fired one round at it. Warning shot. Told it to get the fuck away from the gate."

Head Researcher ███████████: "And?"

Captain Brunin: "And it vanished."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Vanished?"

Captain Brunin: "Yeah it just fucking disappeared, alright? Gone! No noise, not sight, fucking nothing. We switched to thermal and still didn't see anything. And then… then everything went to shit."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Explain."

Captain Brunin: "Well for one, every door in the goddam facility locked itself open, the PA system and all of our radios were producing this high pitched scream… hurt so bad we had to rip our helmets off. Our support gunner, Sergeant Phillips, had some extra ear protection thank the Lord. And the lights… fucking lights were all flashing at different intervals. Messed with our heads."

Head Researcher ███████████: "What actions did you take then?"

Captain Brunin: "We went to the main gate. (The Captain motions to the entrance to Site-) There's only one way in or out, so we went to guard it. I was almost glad so see that those doors were still closed."

Head Researcher ███████████: "The main gate is not connected to door control and cannot receive external signals."

Captain Brunin: "Yeah, and that might have helped if we had, again, knew what this thing was capable of."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Did you encounter SCP-3211 at the main gate?"

Captain Brunin: "Yeah we did. It had its … tail.. or whatever, stuck in the control panel. One of my guys opened fire with his P90… rounds just bounced off the target. 3211 looked back at us, and then the gate just flew open."

Head Researcher ███████████: "'Flew' open?"

Captain Brunin: "Yeah, like a lot faster than it should've. Door mechanism caught fucking fire it went so fast."

Head Researcher ███████████: "And did 3211 flee through the open gate?"

Captain Brunin: "Not at first. Damn thing charged us. Phillips let go with his 249, and it seemed to slow the thing down but… I don't think we were really hurting it. It snatched the weapon out of his hands and crushed it on the floor… threw Corporal Lewis against the goddam wall…. then it ran."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Was SCP-3211 making any particular noises during this engagement?"

Captain Brunin: "No, that's what was fucked up. It. Made. No. Noise. Fucking none."

Head Researcher ███████████: "And what happened after 3211 left the facility?"

Captain Brunin: "Our 'backup' was there."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Could you explain what kind of support you received?"

Captain Brunin: "Two Apaches were waiting there… with a couple of Bradleys. The Apaches…"

Head Researcher ███████████: "Yes?"

Captain Brunin: "Well… all of their guided ordinance fired as soon as 3211 escaped, and it flew… right at my team. Killed 11 people. Then the helos just… well they just fell."

Head Researcher ███████████: "Fell?"

Captain Brunin: "They dropped out of the sky. I had a chance to talk to one of the pilots who survived the incident; he said he had no control over his aircraft."

Head Researcher ███████████: "So how did you re-contain SCP-3211?"

Captain Brunin: "Someone got a lucky hit with a SMAW, and the Bradleys finished the job. Musta been too badly damaged or dazed to control the vehicles. It stood there and ate the 25mm rounds for about 10 seconds, then just collapsed."

Head Researcher ███████████: "I see. Thank you captain, that will be all."

<End Log, 0901 03/13/20██>

Closing Statement: After this incident, MTF Beta-3 was given additional personnel and heavy weapons to better equip it to handle future containment breaches. Two manually operated 25mm turrets have been placed in the hallway leading to SCP-3211's containment chamber.

Addendum 3211-A: Effective immediately, the glass panel is to be removed from SCP-3211's containment chamber and filled in with steel. The sound-powered telephone may remain in place.

Addendum 3211-B: Dr. Green has requested that SCP-3211 be given Keter level classification, due to its potential for mass devastation if it reaches a major metropolitan area. This request has been denied by O5-█ (see below)

Note from O5-█: Many Euclid level SCPs could cause massive devastation in cities, 096 especially comes to mind. However, I ask you to keep in mind what SCP-3211 is capable of. It's physically strong and possess several anomalous properties that make it somewhat difficult to contain, but we could essentially bury the thing in concrete if we wanted to and not worry about it again. It will remain Euclid.
