Item Name: Laser Removal
Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The nature of SCP-XXXX makes it self-containing. It manifests as a room which appeared on site-15 on █/█/██. The machine inside the room, (SCP-XXXX-1) will not move outside of the room. No tests surrounding object removal are permitted to use an object with an albedo higher than 0.98.
Description: SCP-XXXX is made up of two parts, SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX is a room that was noticed by Dr. Matthews on site-15. The room did not come from any known location and did not overlap any other room on site. It extended a hallway on site-15 just enough to accompany the room, though no change to outside architecture has been noticed.
SCP-XXXX is a generic room, resembling other rooms on site-15. Its walls are concrete and painted white, and it has a tile floor. Half of the room is taken up by SCP-XXXX-1, which, to our current knowledge, cannot be moved outside of the room. The room repairs itself every 24 hours. Any personnel who witness the repair firsthand or via recording suffers an antimemetic effect that prevents them from recalling the repair process. Cameras were found in the standard locations inside the room, and security personnel found an additional video input from the room.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a machine with no exposed parts, and no inputs other than a standard QWERTY keyboard, a screen displaying “LASER REMOVAL”, and a slot that will expand or contract to fit whatever object is nearest to it. Placing an item in the slot, and typing something to be removed, will remove whatever was typed from the object in the slot. It has been assumed to be removed with lasers, as indicated on the screen.
SCP-XXXX-2 (See test log E) is the room adjacent to SCP-XXXX-1. It had no anomalous properties previous to the test involved in Test Log E and is known commonly among personnel as “The room with a tunnel to itself”. Other than the tunnel, this room is not known to have any other anomalous properties. This room which was previously a cafeteria has been converted into a containment chamber for SCP-XXXX-2.
Addendum 1: Many small tests have been conducted, attempting to move SCP-XXXX-1 from its location. Each test has resulted in failure. These tests have included:
- Attempting to pull SCP-XXXX-1 towards the door, using the keyboard or slot as a handle.
- Attempting to dig around, into, or behind SCP-XXXX-1. (See Test Logs C-E)
- Evaporating SCP-XXXX-1 (See Test Log I)
Test Log A - 4/9/██
Procedure: Two D-class personnel were placed into SCP-XXXX and instructed to place a banana into SCP-XXXX-1. One D-class was then instructed to type “peel” into the keyboard on SCP-XXXX-1 and press enter.
Results:1.5 seconds after the enter key was pressed, a light measuring approximately 217 lumens was emitted from the slot, blacking out all camera feeds and leading to both D-class losing vision for about 3 seconds. After this event, the banana was observed to be perfectly peeled. One D-class was instructed to observe the banana, and upon touching it, yelled in pain and dropped the banana. The banana was extraordinarily hot, from the lasers, and the D-class suffered from 2nd-degree burns. The banana, after cooling off, had no adverse effects.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX-1 appears to remove whatever is typed into the keyboard from the object in the slot, with the object suffering no damage.
Test Log B - 14/9/██
Procedure: Two D-class personnel were placed into SCP-XXXX. One D-class was instructed to place their head into the slot of SCP-XXXX-1. The other D-class was then instructed to type “hair” and press enter on the keyboard.
Results: The same light as in Test Log A was emitted. After all personnel recovered, the first D-class was instructed to take their head out of the slot. All hair had been removed, and when asked, the D-class said they felt no heat difference. The second D-class was then instructed to feel the first D-class’s head and immediately shouted in pain.
Analysis: It has been confirmed that SCP-XXXX-1 will remove the input from anything placed in the slot. It has also been confirmed that any object that has had something removed will feel no effect from SCP-XXXX-1.
Procedure: Two D-class personnel were placed into SCP-XXXX. One D-class was given a specialized tool, used for digging through concrete. The D-class was then instructed to dig around and behind SCP-XXXX-1. The other D-class was instructed to wait in SCP-XXXX and state any observed changes.
Results: After approximately an hour of digging, the first D-class stated that he felt as if he should have hit the back wall, or dug out of site-15 by now. The second D-class stated that when he looked into the tunnel, neither the end nor the first D-class could be seen. The first D-class was then instructed to crawl back to SCP-XXXX and successfully made it back after 15 minutes of crawling.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX appears to have anomalously attached itself to site-15, and infinitely extends in every direction to anyone inside.
Procedure: Two D-class personnel were placed outside of site-15, where SCP-XXXX should be. Both D-class were given a tool and instructed to dig into SCP-XXXX.
Results: After approximately 7 minutes of digging, the first D-class successfully breached the wall and entered SCP-XXXX-2 (See Test Log E).
Analysis: SCP-XXXX cannot be entered from outside of the site, and only appears to personnel inside of the building.
Procedure: Two D-class personnel were placed inside of the only room adjacent to SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-2. Both D-class were given a tool and instructed to dig into SCP-XXXX.
Results: After approximately 10 minutes, the second D-class breached the wall and looked into the hole. It appeared that they had drilled into the opposite wall of SCP-XXXX-2, and looking into the hole would show the room exactly as it was, from the other side. On the opposite wall of SCP-XXXX, a hole had been made. Crawling through either of these holes would cause the personnel to reappear out of the other hole.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX cannot be dug into, and will prevent personnel from doing so by looping them back around.
Procedure: One D-class personnel was placed into SCP-XXXX. The D-class was given a yellow bike reflector and instructed to place it into the slot of SCP-XXXX-1. The D-class was then instructed to type “bike reflector” on the keyboard and press enter.
Results: SCP-XXXX-1’s slot heated up to approximately ███°C, and after all personnel regained vision, it was observed that the bike reflector had been successfully removed.
Analysis: Reflective objects tend to heat up SCP-XXXX-1.
Procedure: One D-class personnel was placed into SCP-XXXX. The D-class was given a standard bathroom mirror and instructed to place it into the slot of SCP-XXXX-1. The D-class was then instructed to type “mirror” on the keyboard and press enter.
Results: SCP-XXXX-1’s slot, and the surrounding room, heated up to approximately ████°C (Let it be noted that this was roughly the temperature of the sun), killing the D-class and instantly evaporating everything in the room. None of these effects could be felt outside of the room. After the 24-hour repair period for SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 had returned to its original state.
Analysis: No matter the damage done, the room appears to always repair itself on exactly midnight.
Procedure: One D-class personnel was placed into SCP-XXXX. The D-class was given a space-grade, one-foot radius infrared light reflector and instructed to place it into the slot of SCP-XXXX-1.
Results: SCP-XXXX-1 downsized the slot, making it too small to put the light reflector into.
Analysis: We don’t know what trying to remove this would have done, but it’s obviously bad if SCP-XXXX-1 outright rejected the object.
Test Log I - 15/10/██
Procedure: One D-class personnel was placed into SCP-XXXX. The D-class was given a standard bathroom mirror and instructed to place it into the slot of SCP-XXXX-1. The D-class was then instructed to type “mirror” on the keyboard and press enter. After the effects of this, (See Test Log G) a second D-class was instructed to enter SCP-XXXX.
Results: As soon as the second D-class entered SCP-XXXX, all skin, muscle, and bone melted and then evaporated in roughly 0.35 seconds.
Analysis: After the 24-hour repair period, it appears the temperature reverts as well, and entering SCP-XXXX after such a test is the equivalent of standing next to the sun. As of 15/10/██, no further tests are to be conducted using objects with an albedo higher than 0.98.
Test Log J - 17/10/██
Procedure: One D-class personnel was placed into SCP-XXXX at approximately 5 minutes until the repair time. The D-class was then instructed to destroy as much of the room as he could. After the repair time, a researcher was sent into SCP-XXXX and told to use the machine to remove the D-class’s memory loss.
Results: An estimated 30 lbs of material was removed from the walls of SCP-XXXX at the time of repair. What happened during the repair is unknown, as any witnesses, or later reviewers of the footage, suffering from SCP-XXXX’s antimemetic qualities. When the researcher was sent into SCP-XXXX, they found the room back in its original state, and the D-class looking dazed. The researcher immediately told the D-class to place his head into SCP-XXXX-1’s slot, and input “memory loss” forming “LASER MEMORY LOSS REMOVAL”. When the D-class got out of the machine, he started yelling about remembering everything, and all the terrible things the foundation has done to him. Any attempts to amnesticize the D-class failed. The D-class was euthanized shortly after the test.
Analysis: The machine seemed to remove the D-class’s ability to lose memories, and this not only gave him perfect photographic memory but also made him remember everything he may have forgotten in the past.
Test Log K - 25/10/██
Procedure: One D-class personnel was placed into SCP-XXXX. They were given SCP-____-J and told to input “memetic properties” onto the keyboard and press enter.
Results: The D-class immediately started procrastinating on the test, finding any way to distract themselves from the test. Multiple personnel were sent into SCP-XXXX, all of which started procrastinating on whatever orders were given to them. Nothing was ever typed onto the keyboard, and no lasers were ever fired from the machine.
Analysis: SCP-____-J is hard to test on.
Procedure: Two D-class personnel, one missing an arm in an accident, were placed into SCP-XXXX. The D-class with a missing arm was instructed to place themselves into SCP-XXXX-1, and the other D-class was instructed to type “lost arm” onto the keyboard and press enter.
Results: Once the D-class with a missing arm had gotten out of the machine, it was noticed that the lost limb was back. It was a perfect recreation of the old arm, which was very noticeable as the D-class had gotten a tattoo on said arm before they lost it. The tattoo was back on the replaced arm. How SCP-XXXX-1 gained knowledge of this tattoo is unknown.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX-1 seems to gain knowledge about what it is removing/repairing from the object in the slot, and will perfectly recreate lost limbs.
Procedure: One D-class personnel and one Golden Retriever with a lost hind leg were placed into SCP-XXXX. The dog was sedated and placed into SCP-XXXX-1. The D-class was then instructed to type “lost leg” on the keyboard and press enter.
Results: One the dog was taken out of SCP-XXXX-1, it was observed that the hind leg had been replaced perfectly.
Analysis: It is confirmed that SCP-XXXX-1 will perfectly recreate genetic material.
Procedure: One D-class personnel was placed into SCP-XXXX and given a cracked cassette tape. The D-class was instructed to place the cassette into SCP-XXXX-1, type “crack” into the keyboard, and press enter.
Results: Once removed from SCP-XXXX-1, the cassette tape appeared to be completely repaired.
Procedure: Two D-class personnel were placed into SCP-XXXX, one of which was deceased. The living D-class was instructed to place the deceased into the slot of SCP-XXXX-1, type “death” onto the keyboard, and press enter.
Results: The previously deceased corpse had been reanimated and retained all previous memories. The D-class had been experimented on, and it had been proven that the D-class is now immortal, trapped in a one-man End of Death scenario. The D-class had been contained.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX-1 takes all instructions very literally. “LASER DEATH REMOVAL” will remove the ability to die, “LASER MEMORY LOSS REMOVAL” will remove the ability to lose memories, etc. Further input, if any, should be thought about carefully beforehand.

Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-XXXX
Item Name: Sound-based 173
Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locked room, under heavy surveillance. The containment chamber is to be heavily soundproofed, with audio absorbent walls. Any personnel entering the chamber must undergo specialized training to keep their voices under 37 decibels.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity approximately 2 meters in height. SCP-XXXX has dark gray skin, and large ears which are a lighter shade than all other visible skin. The origins of SCP-XXXX are unknown. SCP-XXXX is extremely sensitive to any audio, and if any sound above 37 decibels (See Test Log [PUT SOMIN HERE]) is heard by SCP-XXXX, it will become hostile to any other entity around it. Once the audio has stopped, SCP-XXXX will go back to its idle state, standing completely still.
Item Name: Reflection Eater
Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard 1m x 3m containment locker, on Site-21. All testing with SCP-XXXX must be approved by the current lead scientist. If any unauthorized personnel look into SCP-XXXX, please report it to site director immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standing mirror, approximately 0.6m wide and 2m tall. Any entities that have looked at themselves in SCP-XXXX become classified as SCP-XXXX-1. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will go through the following series of effects after looking into SCP-XXXX, after the designated times:
- 1 day: Shows small signs of sleep deprivation.
- 4 days: Signs of sleep deprivation increase, and very noticeable bags form under SCP-XXXX-1's eyes.
- 2 weeks: SCP-XXXX-1 shows signs of malnourishment, having lost weight and muscle mass.
- 4 weeks: SCP-XXXX-1 shows signs of extreme malnourishment, with most bones being visible through skin, and eyes becoming sunken in the sockets.
- 7 weeks: SCP-XXXX-1
