Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard anomalous objects locker in Site-██. Due to the object's inert nature, no special precautions need to be taken in storing SCP-XXXX. Access for standard testing is restricted to level 2 researchers and above, and any testing involving dangerous subjects must be approved by three level 3 or higher researchers. Cross-testing the object with other SCP entities requires written approval from a level 4 researcher. No items should be left inside of SCP-XXXX when it is being stored for extended periods of time, unless there is a legitimate research purpose for doing so.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a small mahogany wooden jewelry box. It weighs about half a kilogram, and the exterior dimensions are 16.5 cm x 13.5 cm x 6 cm. The box is sparsely decorated with thin gold inlets, and the interior is covered with a thin layer of dark green felt.

SCP-XXXX possesses the ability to block certain forces, energies, and electromagnetic wavelengths when fully closed. This property works both ways; forces originating within the box cannot escape it, and forces originating outside the box cannot enter it. How SCP-XXXX is able to achieve this is currently unknown, as repeated testing has shown no special internal structures inside the object. SCP-XXXX has been found to be indestructible by all known means, however, it's anomalous properties only seem to work when the box is fully assembled. The effect is also only present when the box is fully closed; because of this requirement, objects too large to properly fit inside of SCP-XXXX cannot take advantage of its full effect. SCP-XXXX was recovered after an agent of Mobile Task Force Iota-10 ("Damn Feds") witnessed a police interrogation regarding a failed attempt at a bank robbery in Boston, Massachusetts on February 10th, 19██. One of the suspects involved in the crime was an insider working for the bank at the time; the suspect attempted to smuggle the box into work with him after placing a small EMP device inside, set to discharge at a predetermined time of day. When the designated time arrived, and the bank's electronic systems remained unaffected, the suspect opened the box to find that the EMP successfully discharged at the set time; the suspect's armed colleagues arrived at the bank shortly after. The bank's security systems successfully trapped the robbers inside, and they were arrested shortly thereafter. See addendum SCP-XXXX-1.

Test Logs for SCP-XXXX

Test XXXX-A.
Setup: Researcher ██████ places her cell phone into the box, and closes the lid.
Result: Ten phone calls are attempted to the researcher's phone number, and all calls are dropped. Upon opening the box, the phone becomes able to receive calls once again.
Researcher's Notes: "While this test wasn't incredibly interesting, it does prove that the object is capable of blocking radio frequencies."

Test XXXX-B.
Setup: A small device equipped with wireless audio and video transmissions to Foundation computers, as well as recording, is placed inside of SCP-XXXX.
Result: Once the lid is closed, researchers immediately lose contact with the device, and are unable to receive any video or audio. Upon the lid being opened, however, connection is restored. Upon examination of the device's storage drive, it is revealed that the device was successfully able to record whilst inside SCP-XXXX.
Researcher's Notes: "Well, this one proves that the object doesn't stifle radio frequencies or electronics inside of it, but rather disallows them from leaving the box."

Test XXXX-C.
Setup: All lights in the testing chamber are switched off, putting the room in total darkness. A 10,000 lumen light is switched on via mechanical arm and placed inside the box. Researchers watch via surveillance cameras to prevent retinal damage.
Result: The mechanical arm closes the box, and the room immediately returns to darkness. No light is visibly emitted from SCP-XXXX.
Researcher's Notes: "How the hell does it do that? I mean yeah, the box is reasonably dense, but a light that bright would still peek through, at least a little bit, like when you put your hand against a flashlight and can see it glow. That thing didn't even leak the faintest trace of photons… This must mean the maximum capabilities of the box are either very, very large, or… infinite."

Test XXXX-D.
Setup: Following approval from 3 level 3 researchers, a stick of dynamite is placed inside SCP-XXXX. A researcher lights the fuse before taking cover behind the on-site blast shield.
Result: No noise is heard at the expected time of detonation, and after fifteen minutes of inactivity, a staff member dressed in full bomb defusal attire checks the inside of the box to see if the dynamite failed to detonate. There was only a think layer of soot left inside of SCP-XXXX. The delicate green felt on the inside was undamaged, once the soot had been properly cleaned out.
Researcher's Notes: "This is crazy! The bomb went off, clearly, but absolutely NONE of the energy created inside managed to escape. No lights, no sounds, no heat, hell, the thing didn't even rumble! I wonder how far we can take this?"
NOTE: Researcher ████████ requested repetition of this test with more powerful explosives. Request denied by level 3 researchers due to safety concerns.

Additional Notes: SCP-XXXX is undergoing review for possible Foundation use in containing anomalous objects small enough to fit inside. Should this proposal be approved, and another anomaly is to be contained within SCP-XXXX, it will be reassigned to a Thaumiel class object.
