Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a small safe which is 24cm, by 36cm, by 10 cm. Level 3 access is required to open the safe.

SCP-XXXX is a small box of 16 brightly colored plastic eggs. The eggs are 5cm in diameter and 7 cm in height. The eggs have a seam along the width of the egg but are un-openable, despite extensive testing of forces exceeding the breaking point of plastic. These eggs seem to be designed similar to an official product of a company but with adjustments to prevent copyright, but The Foundation are unable to identify the product it is based off.

The tag on the box said it was manufactured in ████ China, 19██. The factory had burnt down on this date and as many as ██ and ███ child workers were killed in the incident. The tag also states: "Fun Eggs: All Year Eggs".

The eggs were found after a series of murders, in which the victims had slash marks to the face, neck or stomach. SCP-XXXX was usually found nearby the corpse lying in a pool of blood which contains the DNA of no known human.

Test Log XXXX-1-A (██/██/19██):
Camera and Audio Transcript

Subject: D-5876

<Begin Log>

[The Camera shows a testing chamber with a chair and table. The table has a brightly coloured red egg sitting upon it. D-5876 sits in the chair, awaiting further instruction.]
Dr █████ (through the intercom): Please pick up the egg.
[D-5876 picks up SCP-XXXX-1 and inspects it. They attempt opening SCP-XXXX-1 but fail in doing so. A minute passes and he begins showing signs of nausea. Another minute passes, where he drops SCP-XXXX and scrambles over the chair and stares back at SCP-XXXX-1 from 4 meters away.]
D-5876: Where… Where am I?
[SCP-XXXX-1 begins to open at the seam, blood pours from the egg as it splits into two. D-5876 screams and backs to the wall. Bloody hand prints move towards D-5876. He appears to try and throw off an invisible creature before his throat is ripped out by an unknown force. SCP-XXXX-1 seals itself again.]
<End Log>
Notes: The blood samples taken from SCP-XXXX-1 are not from any person the Foundation could discover.

Dr █████: Maybe we should try getting the subject to hold the egg for as long as possible.
