Special Contianment Procedures: Any detected copy of SCP-3582 is to be transferred to Foundation's Steam account immediately.

Under no circumstances should the item ever be used in-game. Steam-wide search for any uncontained copies are to be conducted every two (2) hours. Please see Addendum 2.

Due to the nature of the item, it's impossible to contain with current available technology. The Foundation will instead focus on shutting down the medium which the object circulates.
All gameservers associated with the game ████ are to be attacked by DDoS (Denial of Service Attack). All IPv4 addresses are to scanned for any activity matching the gameserver of the game.

All computers infected with SCP-3582-1 are to be destroyed immediately.

Goverments around to world are instructed to call a ban against the game ████.

Description: SCP-3582 is a digital item for the game ████ by █████ Corporation. Items are stored in the inventories of a Steam account. ████ is a First Person Shooter, where players attempt to kill all enemy players, or complete certain objectives. Items in the game change the looks of the weapons used by the players.

SCP-3582 is a skin for the "AK47" weapon in the game. It's name is "AK47 | ███████████".
Whenever the item is ever used in-game, the gameserver hosting the game, and all connected players' computers will be rendered useless through an unknown process. The computers can still be powered up, but the ROM and HDD's contents were replaced with an undecipherable data. Upon inspecting the HDD's files on another computer made the inspecting computer 'infected' as well. Using another methods to inspect the HDD were inconclusive. All other components (GPU, CPU, RAM, etc.) were unaffected.

SCP-3582's existence was first reported in [REDACTED], [REDACTED] when PC seller ████ was getting a sudden influx of 'infected' PC's for repair. The company posted a statement, at which point the Foundation was alerted. The Foundation interviewed the PC owners about when their computer went unusable. All of the owners said that it happened while they were playing the game ████. After contacting the game's developer, a similar 'malware' had been rendered some of their gameservers usesell as well. After extensive investigation, it was confirmed that a digital item within the game was causing the malware.

Upon inspecting the Steam accounts of all the affected people, the anomalous object was identified. The item's properties are:

The 'float_value' property contained a ███-bit number, it's unknown how it's stored on the servers, as it will take only █ copies of the item to completely fill all the capacity.

It has has been concluded that the value in the 'float_value' property executes an arbitrary code on all the clients and the server. 'float_value' determines the wear and tear of the weapon skin, and it's only used when a user actually uses the weapon inside the game.

The item was added to the drop list of the game. Any attempts to remove it from the list were unsuccessful.

Addendum 1: Due to the impossibility of containment, █████ Corporation was ordered by the Foundation to shut down the services of the video game and to destroy all hardware associated with it.
Addendum 2: No incidents were occurred ███ days after the shutdown. The object is now classified as Neutralized.

Addendum 3: The computers infected by the malware, henceforth referred to as SCP-3582-1, sporadically started to mimic the Steam service and the gameservers of the game. Even when not connected to any power source, it still continues function. Inspecting the computers revealed an unknown Operating System with an unknown language. User Input was disabled. CPU and HDD has shown 0% usage. The item was automatically given to any user playing the game. When the HDD is destroyed, the computer ceases all the server function.

Addendum 4: Ads about the game appeared all over the internet, from an unknown source.
