Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept stored in a standard containment locker and away from all children. No instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to leave the facility, and all biological instances are to be eradicated post-testing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a polypropylene children’s bowl with a diameter of about 10 centimetres. The body is decorated with bright yellow and green colouring, with a raised illustration of a cartoon frog face on the inner base.
Upon request from any prepubescent, SCP-XXXX will attempt to create a replica of the requested item to its best ability. Any objects requested that have never been in near proximity to or mentioned near SCP-XXXX will fail to illicit a reaction.
Testing has failed to show results when SCP-XXXX is asked for any object from adults and pubescents, as well as any replication or recording of a child’s voice. All attempts at having child subjects read items from a list or repeat phrases as instructed by staff have also failed to show results. This leads to the assumption that SCP-XXXX will only create objects that the child truly wants for their self.
All objects created by SCP-XXXX with a minimum width larger than 3x the bowl’s diameter have exited the bowl covered in a thin layer of what has been determined to be of similar structure to amphibian mucus. Any object smaller than this threshold will exit the bowl normally. All created objects are of similar structure and materials to ordinary versions of the object and are near indistinguishable visually, although much more fragile.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered on May 31st, 2007 in ███████, Colorado when 7-year-old Jacob █████ was eating a meal with his father. After being ordered to behave, the child reportedly stated “I want mommy.” SCP-XXXX then began to create a visually identical, nonverbal copy of the child’s mother Amanda █████, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1.
Upon creation SCP-XXXX-1 was fully clothed in the same outerwear Amanda █████ was dressed in before leaving the building. Any skin not visible through clothing lacked detail such as pores, hair and pigment. No underwear was present. SCP-XXXX-1 itself was coated in a layer of amphibian mucus, but all mucus present on the created clothing was determined to be from contact with the body.
SCP-XXXX-1 was observed performing tasks such as creating a spill only to clean it and removing dishes from the cupboard, cleaning them, then returning them to the cupboard. Upon completion of multiple tasks, SCP-XXXX-1 exited the home via the front door and stood unmoving until removed by Foundation agents upon arrival at the scene.
All witnesses were amnesticized while and SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 were taken for containment.
