SPC-XXXX-1 completly still posture
Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Apollyon
Threat Level: Orange Black
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX's current location it to be maintained at all times. Personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX are to look for SCP-XXXX's movement pattern when detected. If SCP-XXXX-1 if it spawns on Earth it is necessary to capture it before it disappears. Although the spawning area of SCP-XXXX-1 is unpredictable, its spawn zone is delimited by the places affected by the eclipse, examples of this is Australia during its first appearance.
SCP-XXXX-1 can be placed within a standard containment room if it is in passive state, but if it is in an aggressive state it is required special equipment and personnel to neutralize it. When an aggresive SCP-XXXX-1 is found it is mandatory to prepare a field of 160,000 lumen spotlights outside its area of action to neutralize it and then proceed to capture it by means of a magnetic cage that is covered inside with thousands of lights of less intensity but covering all angles. Personnel must wear a specialized suit to prevent lightburns from the spotlights.
Information regarding the apperance and investigation of SCP-XXXX is to be censored upon discovery, specially information networks of the world's space agencies and public domain astronomy websites and magazines. Since its appearance in 2002, the public has been notified that SCP-XXXX is an error, a spot or a solar illusion.
Both SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 are uncontainable. Although SCP-XXXX-1 can be put into containment it will always end up into a containment breach when it disappears the next day. Any direct or indirect civil interaction with SPC-XXXX-1 where there are survivors they will be supplied with class A amnestics.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid shadow about the height of an average european man. SCP-XXXX was discovered on June 9, 2002, a day before an annular solar eclipse, this keeps relation with SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered on December 4, 2002 in the middle of a total solar eclipse that lasted 2 minutes and 4 seconds. Even though SCP-XXXX is a two-dimensional shadow, SCP-XXXX-1 is a three-dimensional shadow capable of human movement.
SCP-XXXX-1 can spawn at Earth during a total solar eclipse and will follow the same movement pattern that presented the last observation of SCP-XXXX, certain patterns will turn SCP-XXXX-1 into an aggressive state. Other observed patterns are: completely still, sitting, posing and defensive posture. Discretion is mandatory in cases of aggressive state and defensive posture. SCP-XXXX-1 will remain passive in the three other scenarios, the securing of SCP-XXXX-1 in these scenarios is recommended.
If SCP-XXXX-1 is in an aggressive state it will attack anything or anyone within a radius of three meters, indiscriminately. When combat is engaged SCP-XXXX-1 will loose its human form and will shapeshift in any form that considers suitable for fighting. More common shapeshifts are an amalgam of tentacles or a bear trap that rises from the ground and devours everything in its bite.
The use of different military armaments against SCP-XXXX-1 has been tested, all giving null results. The use of common ammunition always ends in the destruction of these once they enter SCP-XXXX-1 control area, the use of rocket launchers will conclude in not an explosion but SCP-XXXX-1 itself absorbing the missile and making it disappear.
Once secured and contained SCP-XXXX-1 will disappear a couple hours after seeing moonlight. SCP-XXXX-1 must be brought while in pasive state for further investigations.
Addendum XXXX-01: Once an attempt was made on █████ to fly SCP-XXXX-1 in a plane to check the prolonged effects of moonlight, after a full day of exposure SCP-XXXX-1 exploded causing somekind of "shadow miasma", the moment this miasma crashed into the ground, it stuck instantly and grew at alarming rates, killing everything it touched. It was possible to stop and eventually eradicate with a series of spotlights the quadruple of potent as the ones used to contain SCP-XXXX-1.
Addendum XXXX-02: It is believed that the miasma expelled by the subject is able to cause a XK-Class scenario if left uncontrolled. It is also believed that if SCP-XXXX-1 appeared in a region where there was prolonged lunar light as at the poles it would be able to create a natural "shadow miasma" incident.
