SCP-8200 at the point of recovery.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8200 is to permanently reside at Armed Biological Containment Area-14, in a standard biometric-locked handgun safe constructed from stainless steel and titanium. SCP-8200 is now in ownership of MTF Pi-13 Agent Judas Krol, carried in an appendix concealed carry holster.

Description: SCP-8200 is functionally and cosmetically identical to that of a P320 Nitron Compact handgun produced by German firearms production and manufacturing company SIG Sauer. The firearm in question fires a .40 S&W cartridge in most recorded loads and types of .40 S&W, accepting 13 round P320 Compact magazines chambered for .40 S&W and .357 SIG.

SCP-8200 was acquired by agents of MTF Iota-10 from a home in Dallas, Texas following a report of domestic abuse and a hostage situation. Police custody of the man in question led to the foundation's interest in the weapon, the local deputies then handing charge to MTF Iota-10 and the Scientific Department.

The discovered anomalous properties of SCP-8200 include minor Class 2 reality bending. This is because regardless of whatever load or type of .40 S&W cartridge that is loaded into the firearm, it will negate all inorganic compounds and substances, continuing to travel at muzzle velocity and energy until it hits a biological compound/substance, such as a plant or an animal. Microscopic organisms do not affect the trajectory of the bullet fired. Upon the bullet making contact with an organism, it will begin travelling realistically however keep the velocity and energy it maintained prior to impact. See Addendum 8200.1.

It has also been noted that SCP-8200 remains anomalous only if the user causes a victim to lose exactly 15 or more milliliters of blood due to the gunshot(s). While plants cannot bleed, the firearm instead will extend how long it's effects will last by 4 hours, but only if 15 milliliters of blood had already been lost by someone who was shot with SCP-8200. With regular use, the anomaly has been confirmed to last 24 hours, afterwards reverting into a standard P320 Nitron Compact with no atypical behavior. It has also been documented that only one living person at a time can unlock and use SCP-8200's effects.

SCP-8200 Testing Video Log Transcript

Date: 09/12/2020

Subject: Testing SCP-8200 at an unnamed location outside of Yukon, Canada.

Preface: SCP-8200 tested for anomalous properties by Doctor Kiril, 3 Security Personnel, one Class D (D-19401), and Judas Krol.

A small testing area was arranged, with a layer of concrete 6/3/3 (l/w/h) meters in size, placed in front of D-19401. The concrete has been marked by spray-painted shooting targets in a "bullseye" pattern. D-19401 is wearing a plate carrier fitted with AR500 Level III+ steel plate, rated for 7.62x51 M80 NATO. Agent Krol is in possession of SCP-8200 as well as two 13-round magazines of Underwood Ammo .40 S&W 135 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point ammunition.

Agent Krol: "You call this a weapons range?"

Doctor Kiril: "Just shoot the concrete where we marked it."

Agent Krol: "Right, right."

Agent Krol would now lift up SCP-8200 and slide in one of the magazines, before racking the slide to chamber a round. He positioned his aim, and shot a single round towards the target board. The bullet would hit the center, continuing to punch through the concrete at muzzle velocity as a yell from D-19401 was heard from the other side, followed by a thud.

Agent Teller: "D-19041 has been hit."

D-19041 would lie on the ground for exactly 2 minutes, and an estimate of roughly 20 to 25 milliliters of blood was lost. D-19041 was treated by medical professionals and returned to cell containment. Parts of the hollowpoint bullet were found scattered in D-19041's center mass, roughly 2-3 inches deep. SCP-8200 retained it's abilities for the rest of the day. A full 24 hours later, the test was redone and the bullet shattered three-fourths of a centimeter in the concrete. The bullet did not penetrate.
