Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a 3x3x3m steel cube. The walls of the cube must be electrified at all times with greater than 2TW and intermittent 200MW . Two guards must be present outside the cube at all times. An EMP must be on standby at all times to disable SCP-XXXX in the event of a containment breach (see Addendum 19-9-2008). Entry into the cell must be cleared by level 4 clearance personal or Dr Hemming.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a normal pitch-black humanoid at first glance however, it doesn’t visibly have any bodily or facial features, it has pale green lights where separate limbs end and start and across its face where checks would normally be. In addition where the checks are normally they are sunken in otherwise it maintains a humanoid shape. SCP-XXXX is made up of black nanobots seemingly connected to a form of gestalt conscious. These nanobots occasionally flicker out of the main mass we assume that it is a natural reflex when scared. SCP-XXXX appears to be sentient as it can use objects and understands human speech but has made no attempts at communication.

SCP-XXXX doesn’t appear to need any form of sustenance to continue operating. When agitated SCP-XXXX will turn into a swarm of nanobots to try and escape however, if SCP-XXXX cannot escape it will turn violent and shapeshift into random combat forms (see Addendum 4-8-2006). SCP-XXXX can absorb any material provided to it that has no electrical current and turns it into a more nanobots, during this process SCP-XXXX doesn’t appear to have grown in size but instead became denser. it is unknown to what extent SCP-XXXX can grow to the size of site-██

Upon dissection of one of the nanobots that was separated from SCP-XXXX it appeared to be made out of some kind of living metal which is made from an unknown element when it was taken 50 metres away from the SCP-XXXX it evaporates into a gaseous form.

Addendum 4-8-2006: upon retrieval of the SCP-XXXX it entered a stance that has multiple limbs covered in spikes, in addition fires hyper energised electrons from any location it wishes which vaporised one of the task force’s squad members. Later high explosives and incendiary grenades were used to subdue the SCP.

Addendum 19-9-2008: during a containment breach on 19-9-2008 SCP-XXXX was spooked upon D-7394 opening the door and tried to escape the cube whilst engulfing and killing D-7394. During its attempt to escape it entered an enraged state and in an instant, it consumed all of the facility that wasn’t electrified leaving it in ruins and overwhelmed on-site security this led to task force Charlie-7 having to be called in to deal with SCP-XXXX. During containment efforts Charlie-7 used high voltage weapons, such as large electrified rounds, in the hopes that it would prove effective against SCP-XXXX, it did prove effective.
