What is it:
An engraved wooden box with an ancient scroll of unknown origins, the writing and symbols in the scroll is not seem to be any known language (but appear to look like Chinese kanji)
Where was it found:
Found in ruins at the base of mount Fuji (ruins no longer exist due to data redacted)
How was it found:
Found by members of the foundation while on an expedition looking into local myths
What it does:
Any attempts to read the whole scroll will deteriorate the readers mental state to the point where they have psychotic episodes quite regularly these people must either be executed on sight or institutionalised under a new name and a fabricated backstory (all previous government records will be deleted)
Containment procedures:
The box is to be placed within a another steel box with a lock and key system the key is only accessible by site command and any researchers assigned to the box each researcher is only allowed access to a certain section of the scroll and are not permitted to associate with the other researchers due to the risk of gaining knowledge about the scroll as this could deteriorate their mental state any member of staff other than those assigned who show knowledge of the scroll are to report to site command for class A amnestics the member assigned to the box who spread the information must report to site command for a suitable punishment to be decided upon
Safety procedures:
Anyone entering the room containing the box must be searched for any device that could take a photograph of the scroll or record video and audio, anyone who brings the listed devices inside the room containing the box must be apprehended taken to site command to either receive class a amnestics or to have a suitable punishment depending on the severity of the breach.
