Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5187 is currently housed at Site-██. All personnel wishing to interact with SCP-5187 must submit a formal request to Site Command, and gain approval. The use of anomalous objects or entities inside of SCP-5187 must be cleared by O5 Command, and monitored by a Senior Researcher.
Description: SCP-5187 is a pitch black box, with a white trim, measuring 29" High, 26" Wide, and 26" Long. Present on the front of SCP-5187 is an small opening, labeled "Objects," present above the opening is a stainless steel plate, with a copper dial present on top of it, the dial has two settings, Separate, and Combine.
When an object is inserted, and the dial is turned to separate, the anomaly will separate the inserted object into what it believes to be its component parts, it takes around 5 seconds to complete this operation. When two or more objects are inserted, and the dial is turned to combine, the anomaly will combine the objects into a single object. These combinations and separations are not exact, as the anomaly seems to have a mind of its own on what it combines and separates objects into.

Input: 1 Class-D Keycard.
Setting: Separate
Output: One vial of orange ink, one Class-D Keycard, without any markings on it.
Input: One Gas Mask, One Night Vision Optic,
Setting: Combine
Output: One Gas Mask, with a small red button present on the side. When pressed, it activates a night vision display inside of the gas mask.
