Special Containment Procedures: The hands of SCP-2293 are to be kept in two cylindrical shackles at all times outside of testing, completely covering any exposed skin below the object’s wrists. The shackle fitted for SCP-2293’s left hand is to be made of Vachellia Nilotica Acacia wood, while the shackle for the right hand is to be made of at least 90 percent pure gold. Each shackle is to have it’s own unique key available on-site. Copies of the keys are to be kept on Site-██ in case of a need for replacement.
SCP-2293 is to be kept in a 6x6 ft. standard humanoid object containment cell. The room is only to be unlocked three times every 24 hours for nutrition delivery or assistance with SCP-2293’s general needs.
Description: SCP-2293 is a 155 cm tall humanoid, it’s prominent visible feature being a greasy, black furred canine head that resembles a typical African Golden Wolf (Canis anthus). The object appears to be completely oblivious to it’s unusual appearance, and has shown distress and annoyance whenever questioned about it. Thorough anatomical examination has shown no signs of human meddling, suggesting that SCP-2293’s appearance occurred naturally.
SCP-2293’s anomalous properties manifest when a hard surface comes in contact with the object’s bare palms or fingertips, each hand demonstrating a unique effect. Direct exposure to the skin on SCP-2293’s right hand reconstructs the exposed material’s composition to that of pure gold at the speed of 0.45 cm per second. In a similar fashion, exposure to SCP-2293’s left hand changes material into pure acacia wood. The effect has been observed to work on sheets of iron, [DATA EXPUNGED] and even live biotic tissue (See: Experiment Log - ███). SCP-2293’s anomalous effects cease their spread in 2-5 seconds after the object removes it’s hands from the surface.
Examination has shown no traces of biological anomaly within SCP-2293’s hands or within the rest of it’s organism. Attempts at communication with SCP-2293 are ongoing, but proven to be chalelnging - SCP-2293 refuses to speak in any language besides ancient Egyptian (despite showing to understand English, Chinese, and even [REDACTED]). and is known to hold long-term grudges against site personnel if it believes itself to have been insulted. Further interviews with SCP-2293 are to be conducted following scripts approved by the site director.
