Umbrasia

Hey all! Welcome to my sandbox page! Here I will list my multitude of (hopefully) unique and scattered ideas. Feel free to send feedback even if we have never talked before and if you express interest in an idea on my list and want to co-author it just send me a message! I don't mind working together at all.

I am also willing to look over your own SCPs for creative advice, but not to fix grammatical errors since that is definitely my weakness. If you would like my assistance go ahead and send me a message and I'll respond as soon as possible.

A little about me:

  • I used to participate in T-0 or T-00 roleplaying when I had the time. This is a form of roleplaying that is generally pretty intensive and I averaged about 10k words per post (I know, I was a massive nerd haha).
  • I am now a freelance (on hiatus) creative writer for lore for roleplayers as I had always found writing the lore everyone builds their stories off of much more interesting than roleplaying myself. I have recently put a pause on my commissioned work as I need to get settled into college, and I want to focus on my personal projects- one of which is writing my own series of SCPs.
  • My strongest genre is fantasy, specifically fantasy gods and goddesses and beasts, generally written in a mythological style. Although, I have recently pushed myself to write in more of a modern fantasy/sci-fi style in preparation for this
  • Through roleplaying I found my love of SCPs, as about 5 years ago I discovered them when looking for something to give me inspiration, ever since then I have been obsessed.
  • I consider myself to be the very creative head in the clouds type of person.
  • I love learning about obscure mythologies and creatures I had no idea about in the past. Perhaps this is why I enjoy SCPs so much. But if you want to start a random chat with me chances are I will respond faster if you tell me about a mythological creature than isn't well known first. I will either geek out with you or want to know more.
  • I go by many names- Umbrasia, Umbra, Umbrella(as annoyingly funny it is), and Icy. Feel free to call me any of these or just make up a new one!
  • I have not always been confident in my work, in fact I'm still not really all that confident. If you want to give me feedback or help me edit my work I would honestly love you for it. I have always wanted to write my own SCPs, but I have only recently allowed myself to even consider it.
