Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5045 is to be kept in a hermetically sealed container, in the sub-basement of Site 17. Access to SCP-5045 is prohibited unless for testing purposes, and confirmed by two level three personnel.
Description: SCP-5045 is a pill, similar in size and consistency to Dayquil, with varying coloring. SCP-5045-1 is a blue pill, and SCP-5045-2 is a similar pill with red coloring. Ingestion of either SCP-5045-1 or SCP-5045-2 is prohibited unless for testing with D-class (see Addendum 1-2). SCP-5045-1, when ingested, makes the person who took the pill to experience mental clarity, or enlightenment (see Addendum 1). SCP-5045-2, when ingested, causes incredible anger, and strengthens the subject considerably. SCP-5045, the container itself will create an instance of SCP-5045-1 or SCP-5045-2, depending on which pill is taken out of the container.

Dr. Mary: We’re trying to discover the effects of SCP-5045, please take the blue pill on the table in front of you.
D-28473: (reluctantly picks up SCP-5045-1, after some reassurance.) Fine. I'm gonna die anyway, I might as well go out on my own terms. (D-28473 takes the pill, and relaxes visibly.)
Dr. Mary: Now, could you explain how you’re feeling?
D-28473: (Pauses, thinking.) I feel better. Not like I recovered or anything, but I feel smarter.. I… get me a piece of paper!
Dr. Mary: What? Why?
D-28473: I need to write this down
(D-28473 is supplied with a pencil and a sheet of paper.) (D-28473 begins muttering, and scribbling on the paper.)
D-28473: There.
Dr. Mary: What is it?
(D-28473 slides the piece of paper across the table, and Dr. Mary picks it up.)
Dr. Mary: Oh my god… how- what..
D-28473: I don't know, but I know it's right.

Interviewer's Note: After D-28473 ingested SCP-5045-1, D-28473 had written down an apparent ‘cure for cancer’ which is currently being tested, with positive results. >
Addendum 2: Interview to determine effects of SCP-5045-2
Interviewer: Dr. Mary, Site 17

D-53603: Alright, why am I here doc? I was woken up and dragged here so I'd like an-
Dr. Mary: (in a soothing tone) Hey calm down. This is just a simple test, there shouldn’t be any danger involved. I’m doctor Mary. (Dr. Mary extends her hand across the table, being taken by D-53603.)
D-53603: I… I'm sorry. Just on edge. They dragged me out and woke me up, so I'm not in a great mood, I apologize.
Dr. Mary: It's alright. All you need to do is ingest this pill, then tell me what you're feeling.
D-53603: (Picks SCP-5045-2, and ingests it cautiously.) It tastes like dayquil.
Dr. Mary: Now, could you tell me what you’re feeling?
D-53603: I… it's a bloodlust. You know? Like you found out that your wife was cheating on you for five months, you just want to kill them. That's what I'm feeling.
(D-53603 jumps up from his chair, and runs around the table, grabbing Dr. Mary, and attacking her. By the time that the nearest security personnel could get D-53603 off of Dr. Mary, she was long dead.)

Note: Dr. Mary’s body was recovered, and an autopsy promptly performed. Her eyes were missing, and she had multiple lacerations, despite the lack of a weapon. Bite marks indicated an attempt at cannibalism. Dr. Mary’s left arm had been torn off, and the cause of death was determined strangulation. Multiple bones were broken, including the skull, 4 ribs, left femur, and the right tibia.
Addendum 3: Interview between D-53603 and the Site Director.
Interviewer: Site Director, Site 17
Interviewee: D-53603

Site Director: What the fuck?
D-53603: I wish I knew.
Site Director: Oh, you wish you knew? Fuck. We lost a good Phycologist, and interviewer, and the best you can give me is ‘I wish I knew’? Fuck you.
D-53603: You think I know?
Site Director: Who else would?
D-53603: It was the pill.
Site Director: Sure. Let's assume it is. What's your reason for that? You were already in a fuck off mood, and you have a history of aggravated assault.
D-53603: I took the pill, and then I felt really angry.
Site Director: And that's your excuse?
D-53603: You know it's true. Why would I kill her? I had no reason. It made me really angry, it's like she had to die, that's all I felt, but I don't know why.
Site Director: (Sits back in his chair) Fuck. Alright. So what you're telling me is that the red pill just makes you a fucking 682 human?
D-53603: Whatever that means, yeah, sure, we’ll go with that.
Site Director: Great. Good to know. Alright, that's as much as we’re gonna get out of this, the interview is now over.

The Interview chamber has been modified to have one inch ballistic glass separating the room, to prevent another casualty.

D-53603: Yeah, me too. I mean I'd hope that I don't kill anyone this time, but yeah, I'm not strong enough to break that glass.
Site Director: Well we aren't taking any chances this time. Now, take the pills please.
D-53603: Any preferred order?
Site Director: Take them at the same time.
D-53603: Ok.
(D-53603 places both SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 on his tongue, and swallows both pills with a gulp of water.) (D-53603 remains silent, nodding to himself.)
Site Director: What are you feeling? Are the pills canceling each other out?
D-53603: Actually, I feel like they're both stacking their effects. I feel smarter, like I just.. know more, but I also feel a surge of rage. They aren't canceling out, they're boosting each other.
Site Director: What do you mean? Describe it to me. What do you mean they're stacking, I don't follow.
D-53603: I mean that I remember everything that's made me mad, and it's all amplified. And that blue pill is making me smarter, so I realize all the ways I could've killed so many people.
(D-53603 puts his hand slowly to the glass, closing his eyes.)
Site Director: And what are you going to do about it? Killing me won't help it, you know that.
D-53603: I know. Now come on, can you guys sedate me or something? This is fucking me up really bad.
Site Director: Alright. We’ll end the test. Thank you for your cooperation.

Interviewer Note: SCP-5045-1 and SCP-5045-2 are able to boost their effects, instead of canceling them out, like theorized. I've submitted a request for SCP-5045 to be available to any MTF team that wants to test it in the field.
