Christianity Almira, Georgia, 1946 A baptist establishment was overtaken by a group known as "The Congregation of the Divine Hand". The group was led by one Aleister Maddon, a known evangelical preacher. The cult assaulted many individuals during the invasion of the "First Southern Baptist Church of Almira", and killed at least █ people. Aleister had changed the core motives of the church and renamed it "The First Fifth Church of Almira". Soon, violence had broken out in Almira, and the whole congregation ended up committing suicide in the cathedral. Foundation operatives deployed amnestics and cordoned off the church before further destruction manifested.
Christianity Norman, Oklahoma, 1953 A catholic parish is taken over by an instance of the SCP-XXXX phenomena. The leader of the movement, John Kepler, is initially accused of heresy but soon finds followers. Eventually, several cult members kill each other, while repeating the phrase "it's all gone". John Kepler commits suicide by hanging after giving a sermon over [REDACTED] and other astrological phenomena. The Foundation is notified of anomalous behavior and distributes amnestics accordingly.
Islam Medina, Saudi Arabia, 1964 Ibn Al-Washarri, an imam at the ████ Mosque becomes erratic in behavior and preached about heretical concepts within Islam. This eventually gets him and his congregation excommunicated from the Mosque. SCP-XXXX fully manifests and the cult rename themselves the "Nujum Allah Alsaaqita". Several individuals belonging to the Nujum Allah Alsaaqita create synthetic bombs and detonate them in public. At least ██ people were killed in these bombings. Ibn Al-Washarri was found dead in his home a week later. The streets of Medina seemed to have been coated in a layer of slime naturally produced by the Asterias rubens when Foundation operatives arrived. A journal was found next to Al-Washarri's body the following day.
Christianity Camarillo, California, 1968 The ███████ High School was turned into a church following a recent wave of religious movements in the area. Several instances of SCP-XXXX-A were recorded including: Isadore Malloway, Darnell Capsy, Kevin Hopkins, and Mariah Hasker. Homicide rates increased following a string of disappearances in the area. All missing subject's bodies were found in a church nearby. All bodies were stuffed with candle wax. How they managed to do this is still unknown. Soon after, the cult committed mass suicide in ███████ High School (now ████ Church) via gunshots to the head.
Hinduism Jhansi, India, 1983

A Hindu priest, Aanav Punjabar, was hospitalized after a Hindu ritual had been completed in the local temple. The ritual was found to involve the use of incense, fire, candle wax, and various species of starfish. The ritual was not dedicated to any known god in the Hindu faith, and was later found out to be monotheistic in nature.
