Special Containment Procedures

SCP-XXXX is to be contained inside of a steel reinforced containment cell. Spines shed from SCP-XXXX are to be recovered for testing.

At least one (1) paper sheets with words written in the English language are to be inside of SCP-XXXX's cell at all times. If these words on the sheets change to a statement mentioning the lightheadedness of SCP-XXXX-A, sedatives are to be administered to SCP-XXXX and full lockdown of the cell is to be initiated.

Description

SCP-XXXX is a 1.7 meter tall humanoid weighing 65 kilograms with empty eye sockets, despite the lack of eyes SCP-XXXX has sight in some form. Sonar, infrared, and maneuvering by scent have been disproven as a form of vision. SCP-XXXX has never been observed turning its head to look at an object or creature, suggesting it has near 360 degree "sight" or something similar.

Spines 10 centimeters in width and 31 centimeters in length cover the back, arms, legs and abdomen. These spines will be heated to 1,093 degrees Celsius when SCP-XXXX is in pain or under extreme emotional stimuli; this will cause the spines to glow like heated metal.

SCP-XXXX can curl up into the fetal position, flare its spines, and roll around at speeds of forty-five (45) kilometers per hour. SCP-XXXX can roll up surfaces that can be penetrated by its spines, climbing using spines on SCP-XXXX's hands and feet has also been observed.

There are two individuals inside of SCP-XXXX designated SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B. SCP-XXXX-A is an individual known as Drake Virgil, while SCP-XXXX-B is an unidentified extra-dimensional entity.

The spines can be melted down and molded or traditionally forged by hand. They have the physical durability and tensile strength of steel unless still attached to SCP-XXXX, if attached they have considerably more durability. This is a subject of ongoing research but the most resilient material penetrated by SCP-XXXX's spines to date was an alloy consisting mostly of chromium.

Addendum-SCP-XXXX.01

One report on SCP-XXXX has been rewritten via anomalous means, the individual who rewrote the report identifies itself as SCP-XXXX-A. No impression from a writing implement can be found and a type of ink used in the writing1 is not present in the facility where it was rewritten.

An excerpt from the report is documented below.

"Why do you keep me in this dark cell? Is there a form of taboo or horror I have committed during my time of slumber? These chains chafe my body and the lack of movement is quite saddening, I wish to be free from this imprisonment."

"I feel your staring through the glass, I feel your prods, pokes, and needles. I feel the hair of my body being pulled out one by one and the conversations of the people beyond these walls. Would it be so trifling to let me get some exercise or sunlight, an opening for the warmth to hit my skin?"

"I smell your scents, the smell of regret and distasteful actions waft through my prison's vents. Your lives weren't like this always, you had so much more planned for the future; you risk your lives to keep me chained, to keep me fettered, to make my existence a pit of misery. Why do you fear one such as I, what has warranted your fear of the unknown?"

"Is it the loss of control that makes you fear it or perhaps a feeling of inferiority? You fear nonsensical and whimsical things with no clear pattern of behavior. You fear darkness when there is no danger inside, wishing to reveal what was already known to be true. It is the same with I as you incarcerate me with no guilt to my name, you fear me for you do not understand me and for that you have my pity."
