Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5877 needs a 4'x4'x5' container made out of an indestructible material, then the subject is placed on a titanium pedestal to stop the spread and corrosion to the surrounding area. 5877 needs constant monitoring all day everyday from an individual who has a level 4 clearance card. If any containment breach happens, multiple back up systems will take into affect to protect the facility and SCP's. For any low clearance individuals they would need the approval of one level 5 clearance worker.
Description
SCP 5877 is approximately (Redacted) liters and resembles a brown liquid that continues to produce Hydrogen Cyanide. It can not freeze in standard pressures, but vapor is expelled and instantly condenses on any surface in a 2 foot radius. SCP 5877 has a unknown PH but has very acidic properties. It can dissolve concrete, steel, anything alive, and (Redacted). The dissolved materials can add to SCP 5877, it also causing a quick uncontrollable spread due to expansion once out of its box. Testing has proven it can “sense” an object that will prove useful to its self. This leads to the suspicion of intelligence, and probable sentients. Other tests have taken place but those are Classified.
Circumstances of Retrieval
SCP 5877 was found in an ancient Roman pot, found in a buried sunken ship. The ship lead to people diving, and many divers to disappearing with no bodies being found. Police had to investigate, and found the small remains of (Redacted) curled around the pot, the police handed over the subject to the foundation. An incident pursued during travel and SCP 5877 made an escape, but information about the incident is Classified.
