A placard in SCP-5000-2's Third Division. A similar version existed as part of the Reichkanzlei.
Special Containment Procedures : No alterations to existing text.
SCP-5000-2's access points are to be guarded by MTF-045 ("Identity Eigenvectors").Meanwhile, SCP-5000-2 is to be touted as a joint project by NASA and the European Space Agency as a lunar base. This cover story is to be aided with the worldwide dissemination of light suggestion agents.
The Knowledge Realization(KR)-Class Scenario is to be maintained, with SCP-5000-2 as its main focus in order to maintain its stability due to its connection with SCP-5000-AE, a narrative agent believed to be also related to the nature of SCP-5000.
Due to the deemed importance of SCP-5000-2 and its codices to the Foundation in the future, and its stability fragile, this anomaly is to be presented as SCP-5000 for maximum visibility.
Under the supervision of the Ethics Committee, however, SCP-5000-Investeur is to allow access to its file only to a select group of Foundation personnel - around five percent - who are to be trained under their standards.
Investeur standards are as follows :
- 6.5 on the standard memetic resistance scale
- Extensive background in history, pyschology and data analysis
- 6.5 on the Periergeia psychology metrics
For maximum effect, the SCP-5000 file's contents is to not be revealed to these personnel, unless they enter Phase 2 of training.
Description: No alterations to existing text.
SCP-5000-1 refers to a middle-aged human female referring to itself as SCP-5000's 'caretaker'. Described as appearing to be of Germanic and Oriental descent, it currently resides within SCP-5000-2, and appears to have control of its access points. It is fluent in Ancient Chinese, Japanese and Old Malay.
SCP-5000-1 is generally cooperative, providing its details and blood samples. Its age has been estimated to be around ████ years old. Meanwhile, it has acted mainly as a guide for SCP-5000-2, providing details on its nature.
To document its interactions with the Foundation, the personal video logs of the Investeur team is provided, transcribed, and edited under the supervision of Investeur Head Pablo Rodriguez
SCP-5000-2, also known as the 'Pavilion' by SCP-5000-1, is a structure currently located on the moon's Lagrange Point, although for the past 74 years, it was absent. Structural analysis reveals that its facade has nearly broken down. Meanwhile, it has no openings, and its windows are blackened using wax. Lighting is mainly provided through oil lamps.
Structural analysis from satellite data show that it is encased within a circular opaque dome, with a radius of 100km.
Memetic analysis of SCP-5000-2, meanwhile, indicates the narrative agent present in SCP-5000 ; however, only traces of it have been found, and based on Eigensatz readings, has been affecting the stability of SCP-5000-2.
In order to understand the nature of SCP-5000-2, a file about its structural notes has been provided.
SCP-5000-1's Third Division.
Discovery: From January 3 to 7, SCP-5000 instances began carrying parts of a cipher that pointed to several locations, most of them shacks in rural areas. SCP-5000-1 was accessed through these.
The pavilion has three subdivisions, each accessible from one another via long corridors. All three divisions, which have 19 floors each, are populated mostly by hares and foxes who share few behaviors with SCP-5000 instances.
With the aid of SCP-5000-1, the structure was then explored and documented.
Documentation : First Division
This subdivision is not well-lit. For every floor, Spices such as nutmeg, garlic, lemon grass, and bay leaf, along with several unidentified herbs, are stashed inside wooden boxes lining all corridors. Above those are jars, containing powdered forms of these herbs. Meanwhile, at the center of the division, spice-grinding machinery, which appear to be based on 1940s technology and are designed for manual use, is present. However, modifications exist that allow the use of hind legs to simulate hand-cranking. Meanwhile, the machine also has a double purpose for pounding bread and rice cakes.
Inscribed on the machine is a tanaga. Here is the approximate translation :
Pounding the cure
for everyone's sake
who die in minds,
with minds of pearls
Other notable features are boxes containing rice and fruit cakes, which SCP-5000-1 apparently serves to guests. All herbs and sustenance here are non-expirable.
Note : SCP-5000-1 apparently resides here, as it and a chamber room implies.
Documentation : Second Division
Lit up by lamps, the second division is mostly empty save for jars and boxes similar to those in the first subdivision ; its most striking feature is that three mature coconut trees grow through its center, which had been apparently carved out to provide space for the trees. Placards are attached to all trees, in an extinct Southeast Asian language.
Tree-01 placard: "Kaharingan
Tree-02 placard:Galang Kaluluwa was here.
Tree-03 placard:Kalinaw
Meanwhile, a smaller coconut tree, estimated around three years old, is also present and has a placard, which states,"Does everyone have a Foundation for life ? At least this tree is in the shades of others. Those who live in the dark."
Documentation : Third Division
Its style is apparently inspired by European and Eastern styles. Prominently, around 50 percent of its floor is a pool of fast-running water, with a stepping-stone pathway. Several small statues of boats with figures of coins on their masts are present.
After crossing, wooden boxes can be found placed in a circle, containing red-colored eggshells with patterns made via melted wax.
In the center of the circle, there is a podium with a knife, apparently of Germanic style and is inscribed with the word,"Geborgenheit", on top, with it also being encircled with pieces of wood.
Behavior of SCP-5000-1 is noted here, while the conversation was mainly headed by Historical Expert Albert Zelensky. It has been transcribed using audio records.
"Welcome, Doctor," SCP-5000-1 smiles. It and the Investeur team are currently in the First Division. "We have been waiting. The Pacifists - little beasts they are - have not held out sadly."
SCP-5000-1 appears to be currently clothed in traditional Chinese attire. It then walks towards the wooden boxes, and obtains a pack of tea leaves. Analysis using portable kits have proven such to be non-anomalous, along with the other ingredients.
"Tea ?"
"No thanks."
"…"
"Alright, let's get to the point." SCP-5000-1 apparently responds by sitting down, but still stirs the cups.
"We would like to inquire about the whole layout of the affair."
"The Pacifists have their minds spiced up to live around 75 years. Now is their time. I assume you know already, Doctor ?"
"…". It then appears to relax, cup in hand.
"Everyone is forgotten, Doctor, and it is the natural way. But to be ended deliberately with a merciless hail of bullets and a fiery blaze is an injustice. We provide shelter to those who have been done as such," SCP-5000 states, standing up.
"As per your question, back in the days, people would go on quests and travails to know something. In the end, however, it is always a pursuit of knowledge. Judging by the souls sitting here, it is still the case.I'm quite happy to see such."
"And it worked. But we always pay our dues, like you should have." SCP-5000-2 breaks out into a smile again.
"We are based on the pursuit of knowledge, Doctor, and we let the Pacifists go along,"SCP-5000 1 smiles. It the stands up. "Perhaps we felt a connection between them and us, and in the years we have been here, we have helped lost souls."
"Others ?" Levensky interjects.
"My husband, for example. And others too. One may be with your Foundation, but I do not know for sure."
//SCP-5000-1 then paces towards the corridor connecting the first and second subdivisions. //
"For example, you are seekers of the holder of what you want, and a fellow gives you instructions on where to go. For example, here. Will you do it ? "
"Most living souls fall down the fox hole, and that is the essence of why the Pavilion, and our souls, exist."
SCP-5000-1 carries a fruit cake, and offers some to the researcher.
"Be a Foundation for life, alright ? That's the last piece of puzzle we will give to you, Doctor."
As always, she then prepares several wooden utensils, carrying a glazed , though apparently cheery, look.
"It is hard to deploy, given your circumstances. You will need a lot of pure interest."
"Do not worry. Even just a little from this already little deal would help soothe the Pacifists."
"Those codices ? "
"They will work for you. Or I believe so. That's a little puzzle too, ok ? You're good enough at it, especially when we were watching you from the moon."
"…"
SCP-5000-2, upon sitting, cuddles a hare. The hare is the one it had called, 'Kinbo', and characteristic of it, massages it behind the ear.
It, with its chair, inches forward.
"My husband and I used to tinker with spices, to make dumplings and the kind. They were for you, but today, they are no longer enough. That is what we ask for now."
"Aahh, I forgot. How pretentious of me." It then stood up, aiming for the kettle near it.
"Tea?"
The Investeur Team and SCP-5000-1 are currently in the corridor linking the second and third divisions.
"Doctor, you have asked a chain of questions to me. I have two. Say, Doctor, will you hear them ?"
"What is it, SCP-5000-1?"
"Did our little reward satisfy you ?"
"The Foundation deems it valuable."
"Alright. Here's another one."
"Did the Foundation really show its heart to the Pacifists, or was it in a goal in mind ?"
"The Ethics Committee was mainly in charge. I believe that the Foundation is a foundation for everyone's lives, and tries to maintain balance."
"In any case," SCP-5000-1 turns back."Please do remember those who fall, and have fallen. And remember, you are under watchful eyes as we leave you thinking."
