Special Containment Procedures: SCP-001 currently contains itself on the third planet closest to Orbital Star X37i. All excursions off-planet in an attempt to colonize other planets are to be terminated through use of YV-982 gunships monitoring the planet. Several SCP-001 organizations have been noted to currently be developing Class-7 Anomalous Terraformers, creating the necessity for all colonization attempts to be stopped. All other off-planet excursions are to be allowed, given no instance of SCP-001 attempts colonization. If a Rogue Colonization event does occur, all instances involved in the attempt are to be terminated with all other instances being incapacitated, amnesticized, and returned to their home planet. At this time, no instance of SCP-001 should be allowed to discover life existing from outside of their planet. If any mention of discovered extrerrestrial life forms is made, a worldwide amnestic is to be administered and all documentation created by SCP-001 instances destroyed. The only exception to this is the SCP-001 organized collective known most commonly as the Foundation, who has worked with us extensively.
Description: SCP-001 refers to the population of a species of sapient, land-dwelling, four-limbed, bipedal creatures that inhabit most of their planet’s land mass. SCP-001 refer to their species as Homo sapiens, or more commonly as humans. Outer flesh pigmentation varies from light tan to very dark brown, with many being in between these parameters. Currently, only two genders of SCP-001 have been identified. Research estimates a current population of 9.4 billion individuals currently.
Post-mortem examination of instances of SCP-001 shows an endoskeleton made of an un identified white substance referred by the species to as collagen, which has been proven to be strong but quite brittle. A secondary substance known as calcium phosphate appears to be necessary in maintaining the strength of the endosketon. SCP-001 instances also contain a highly complex neural framework, nervous system, and circulatory system. Instead of the organ controlling all functions (known as the “brain”) being spread throughout the body, it is contained as one solid mass in the cranium, protected by a piece of the endoskeleton known as the “skull.”
