Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX should be kept in Site ██ in a simple humanoid containment cell outfitted with an acrylic observation room and a document copier on the table with SCP-XXXX. Daily checks should be made to the cell for the appearance of SCP-XXXX-1, if SCP-XXXX-1 appears contact Dr. ██████████. A D-Class is to be brought into the containment cell and grasp SCP-XXXX-1. The subject should begin adding to SCP-XXXX, taking note of the entries page, and when complete should scan the new entry without looking at it. After this is complete the D-Class is to read or look at the new entries and any anomalous events are to be recorded and noted.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a worn leather-bound notebook 25cm by 20cm with a thickness of 1.5cm. The book is seemingly indestructible with any tears instantly repairing, material being hydrophobic, being completely fire retardant, and pages not aging. The book is full of poetry, short stories, and sketches all done in what appears to be ink. No material testing can be done as any pages torn out simply turn to dust and regenerate within the notebook upon removal. All pages are signed Jedidyah Franklin or J.F.

Anomalous properties other than the complete indestructibility of the book are determined by the media consumed from the book by subjects such as spontaneous combustion or immediate removal of body parts. All recorded anomalous media, and its effects are listed in document JFW-1. All anomalous properties are neutralized in copied forms. No matter how many pieces are written there are always more pages allowing for a possibly infinite number of entries. All effects take place instantly after the entry is looked at or read.

SCP-XXXX-1 is an ornate fountain pen that appeared after The Foundation obtained SCP-XXXX. The pen appeared directly next to the book and when personnel touched it regardless of protection; the pen implanted material into the subjects mind and forces them to add the piece within the book. Immediately after writing, drawings, etc the pen will completely turn to dust that dissolves within the air nearly instantly. SCP-XXXX-1 appears again after a cool down of at least an hour to up to 16 weeks later referred to as "Writing Block". It always appears directly next to SCP-XXXX and appears to have full control over the subject using it never allowing it to do any actions except transcribe new. Tests with SCP's having blocks for cognito-hazards and memetics are currently being conducted.

SCP-XXXX was found within the residence of ██████ Donovan by police after he had seemingly been reported as a missing person on 12/██/7█. When his residence was inspected to determined what happened ,all that police was found was SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 sitting on his office desk and a pile Pyrite dust in front of it. An officer picked up SCP-XXXX-1 to place into an evidence bag and was overtaken by its anomalous effect and read passage 54 after writing it. He then lost the skin along his arms bleeding out to death. The Foundation confiscated it after this event. The pen materialized 3 hours after confiscating causing event JFE-1. Along with the SCP a list of past owners dating back to 1897, included here as document JFL.
