Item #: SCP-4156

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4156 is to be contained in a 1 by 1 by 1 meter osmium cell with 5 cm thick walls. The inside of the containment unit should show art and/or depictions of figures deemed holy by ordained members of any Abrahamic faith. The cell should be submerged in a 1.5 by 1.5 by 1.5 meter pool completely filled with water that has been blessed by a member of an Abrahamic faith no lower in rank than Bishop or equivalent. The cell should be checked every 24 hours for damage to the cell or its contents. If 75% or more of the artifacts are desecrated, then immediately alert the Site Commander and initiate Procedure 127-Blackout.

SCP-4156 is not to be destroyed UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If SCP-4156 breaches containment, MTFs Mu-13 (Ghostbusters) and Eta-10 (See No Evil) are to re-establish containment.

Description: SCP-4156 is a statue roughly resembling a humanoid carved from red oakwood measuring 15 cm tall and weighing 215 grams. The artifact has 3 nails embedded into each of its eyes, and a loosely tied noose made of rope. SCP-4156 is animate and hostile. When viewed directly, those viewing it have reported a stabbing pain in their eyes, along with an extreme feeling of dread and paranoia. Muddy footprints, the smell of pond water, and electric systems temporarily faltering are common properties exhibited by SCP-4156

SCP-4156 is capable of moving while not viewed, although no evidence suggests it can’t move while viewed. The object is capable of throwing itself into other objects with enough force to crack normal drywall. In addition to this, the statue can “attack” any small object and break it, though it usually attacks objects deemed holy, such as crucifixes, pictures depicting Jesus, etc.

On rare occasions, SCP-4156-Alpha will manifest. SCP-4156-Alpha is an incorporeal entity resembling a very thin, filthy woman. While the entity itself does not attack anything, its presence usually causes fear to the point where anyone aware of it sprints away desperate to leave.

Addendum SCP-4156-A Message from Site Director ████ to the entirety of Site 19:

Last week, someone tried to destroy SCP-4156. The individual has since “gone shopping” in a certain IKEA, but let me say that SCP-4156 is not to be harmed in any way, shape, or form. If this thing was, say, blown to bits, then we’d be fucked if [REDACTED] and caused an XK End-of-the-World Scenario. This is why SCP-4156 is Keter, and why the cell is a 1 meter cube with 5cm thick osmium walls. We can’t let this thing leave.

If anybody ever has the absolutely brilliant idea of harming the artifact outside of testing purposes, I will PERSONALLY make Procedure 110-Montauk look like a fucking joke.
