Item Number: SCP-XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Please note that care should be done by machines whenever possible as even brief exposure to SCP-XXX can have long-lasting mental implications. Once a month, a dead prisoner or D-class is put into the cage for food. When it is absolutely necessary for a human to enter the room, they must undergo mental training to withstand the mental attacks of SCP-XXX. Even then, SCP-XXX can still seriously damage the mental health of its victims. SCP-XXX must be kept at least 15 feet from other living creatures whenever possible. During the hours 10 PM to 8 AM quiet clawing has been heard from the room. When the cameras are turned on, the screeching stops. This is normal and you should report to your manager if the sound lessens or stops while the cameras and lights are off.
Description: SCP-XXX is a rodent that only consumes fresh human flesh. Its appearance is similar to that of a rat or mouse and it is often mistaken for one. However, the trained eye can distinguish it very easily. For one, it has no tail and is about the size of a mouse, despite resembling a small rat more. SCP-XXX is approximately one and a half inches in length and an inch at its tallest. Being nearer than 15 feet causes extreme depression and suicidal urges. The mental signal it puts out can travel through almost any material and will only stop at the 15-foot radius. The foundation currently holds 15 instances of SCP-XXX and there are believed to be no more than 30 in total, as each female can give birth no more than twice before death and they are currently responsible for about one suicide each month.
