Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5978 is allowed to freely walk around the premises, however it is not to enter the cells of any other anomalies unless it has been cleared for testing. It must be, at all times, followed by at least 1 armed guard in the case that it is provoked.

Description: SCP-5978, commonly referred to as "Gabby" is a humanoid figure that stands at roughly 3m tall and weighs anywhere from 90kg to 300kg depending on what material the entity decides to take for its own physical form at that moment. Certain choice material patterns are nonexistent as it will take up any material that is closest to its last used physical body. The specific method it uses, or even what it is that is moving these objects like a human, is unknown. However, it is not seen as a threat to any personnel unless it, or others around it, are provoked or harmed.

There are very detailed facial features at times when the current form of the entity. The exact features are usually that of a young woman, in her early 20's. However, when her head is made out of an easily breakable material (such as wood or glass, in contrast to the detail of plastic, and concrete) there will at times be little detail, to no face at all.

During testing, SCP-5978 is extremely polite. It has been taught sign language, as it is incapable of speech, and any D-class personnel who are in contact, or are to test with SCP-5978 must know at least basic sign language. There has only been 1 case of any personnel being harmed while in testing of SCP-5978.

Addendum: The entity is named "Gabby" because one day during testing it was asked its name, and in response, signed the name "Gabriella"

Recovery log: When the initial discovery of the entity got out, it was found in Ohio. In an abandoned basement. The foundation caught wind of the report, as one man went to explore the house, and saw what looked like a woman made of wood. He shone his flashlight on the entity, startling it, and it thought that he was attacking the entity. When the recovery team got to the site, the man was sounded, a large cut on his upper arm. During interrogation, the man said that the entity slashed at him, cutting his arm. He tried to run away but he tripped and slammed his head into the wall next to the staircase leading up to the rest of the house. When he woke up, he said, the entity had already noticed that he was not there to harm it, so it then wrapped his arm in a rag and sat him down on a nearby couch for him to rest. It then fled the scene.
